The world of Dark Souls can be pretty dark and depressing, and yet... being undead, sitting next to a bonfire, and waiting for your quietly dying world to be reborn, sounds pretty relaxing.
That really did appeal to me. Despite all the morbidness of everything, there are quite a few beautiful places in the world of Dark Souls that would make wonderful camping spots. 🏞🏕🌦

Same. As miserable as the game was to attempt to beat twice. Dumped around 180 hours to funally beat the game with the dlc. Never really want to play it again but i appreciate now the challenge and victory. This theme is my personal moment of feeling in purgatory when I hear it.

I thought Dark Souls 2 was literally fantastic aside from the enemy design and placement, and more personally the PC interface was terrible but ik most people play on controller. Such a fascinating world.

Yeah it's funny I was around 23 when I first played Dark Souls, then immediately pre-ordered Dark Souls 2. Crazy it's been that long now
I started with Dark Souls 2 as a kid the day my brother came home with horror stories of this extremely difficult game that neither he nor his friends could even defeat the first miniboss in. I only got more excited to play the new pirated game he brought home. 5 years later and I have bought all the games, except for demon souls and bloodborne (cause no console). Good times indeed
Majula has such a melancholic theme. Despite creating a sanctuary for the undead and essentially a small family of sorts....well you know it's a fleeting bit of warmth in dying miserable world

God. I love dark souls. I would give everything to relive it. The hype of dark souls 1, dark souls 2 and dark souls 3 was always the same, but it was just amazing. The up and downs this journey had, the people guiding our journeys... The Maiden in Black, our characters dumbfound self, the Emerald Herold and the Fire Keeper. All of them were the Aspect of a legendary journey, that'll never be undone, nor forgotten. May all the NPCs, Bosses and Enemys of the games relive and maybe see another day, when someone plays the game for the first time, or maybe replays it.
May thee touch the fire inside the community and live our dream.

I got into these games with DS3 a year or two after it came out. Loved it, had never played anything like it. Beat it a couple of times. Bought DS2 on a whim. The Majula music hit me like a train. Mouth agape, I set my controller down on the coffee table and just stared out the window for what must have been 15 minutes. What an incredible song.
Majula music seems to hit a lot of people really deep. You're in good company. Don't give up, skeleton!
I can't describe how the music in these games make me feel. There's just something about sitting in solitude and comfort around a bonfire when you're in an uncomfortable area after many hours of adventuring that just touches my soul in a different way. You feel safe for a short while before continuing for a few more hours on your journey again. I've been looking for a game to give me that adventurous feeling again. Please if anyone has any suggestions let me know❤

The Majula music takes me back. DS2 was my first real pvp experience in a game. Max level duels and using the climax hex on Gankers at the Iron Keep. Good times

I struggle with feelings of isolation and unhappiness but for some reason the music of the soulsborne series always makes me feel at rest, like I just got done from a long journey and Im resting with a loved one at last, or like my heart and soul was weighed down and someone is finally help me lift it, this music is powerful. I have a feeling this is going straight into my sleep playlist :)

Things betwixt's music is definitely underrated. It's a melody that touches my soul, I feel comfortable and melancholy at the same time... Yeah, It's hard to explain my feelings for this song.

remember the first time i heard this song when I bought my ps3 justo play the prepared to die edition and demons souls back in the 2014 i guess, then I ran into this song when I was creating the character, i miss those years and having that feeling of not knowing what to expect
First time, seeing words "Dark Souls" and "Chill", in one sentence
They're supposed to be horror games to some degree but I can't think of many other universes I'd rather chill in.

What was everyone's favorite moment or place in Demon or Dark souls? I will never forget when I went through the picture into the painted world in Anor Londo, I went in blind not even realizing it was a separate area. It blew my fucking mind haha.
Getting to vendrick in ds2. I was like "aw yeah man finally at the end of the game gonna talk to this guy and then-"
Seeing Anor Londo for the first time was so sick. So big, so atmospheric, "finally" some buildings.. But it hit even harder when all that was gone in utter darkness. Wow
Though it did make me sad as I was coming closer to an end.
Just resting alone at the bonfire in the chasm of the abyss with nothing around but a goal was also deep. Though the humanity spirits scared the shit out of me lmao I can remember the little heart-jump

The finale fighting gale was a 10/10 for me, the way the music ramps up, the way the sky darkens and lightning starts falling, the way he uses alslmost every attack.
Really felt like it was the boss that every other boss and mob in all ds games trained me for.

Dark souls world is a bonfire. You can see dark creatures in the dark, but you have Vision, warm of the Fire and Valor to fight against it for the sake of your people.

Say what you will about DS2, it's my personal least favorite, but god damn does the Majula music ever bring on the feels. Best hub area of all Fromsoft games bar none.

7. Elden Ring
5 songs... and that's all, right? (DS3 one doesn't really count to me, it's too gothic and only dark, nothing more in it). So these are the only truly soothing songs from the entire souls franchise. Too bad there's not more like it.

I’m gonna say something unpopular. I miss Dark souls 2. I miss that hub I miss the hub music I miss the gameplay okay I said it. Dark souls 2 isn’t bad. It’s misconstrued. It’s really a good fromsoft game but I let my “Miyazaki didn’t make it” get in the way. Honestly graphics were ahead of its time music was great. I just I miss this stuff. Elden ring isn’t dark souls. It isn’t a successor. I’m sorry but dark souls is dark souls. Sekiro is sekiro bloodborne is bloodborne. They are their own titles. But dark souls needs a 4…..a 5 and a 6 maybe let the world go dark and number 4 is about bringing light to an otherwise gloomy world Let the cycle continue. The hardcore fans don’t care. God bless
