Nice to see you back! I tried sewing the ribbon on the tutu before I make the elastic channel. The tutu was uneven. It drove me CRAZY!!! I sew across tulle, then sew the ribbon on one side, sew in the elastic channel and then sew the other ribbon on the other edge. That way I have more control of keeping everything even. It’s more time, but I’am satisfied!
Working with tulle is not for the faint heart ❤️

Thanks for the video. I'm making an infant tutu a photography prop for a friend. I decided to use the softer fabric that bath scrunchies are made of. Feels slippery for sewing but soft not itchy or rough on newborn infants. Very inexpensive. Just cut the rope through the middle and flatten out. Certain newborn infant size. Hopefully you'll give it a try and post many more videos using the bath scrunchies/slinger. Dollar stores carry them, and walmarts.

Absolutely Beautiful. Next time you attach the ribbon use hemming tape it will fuse the ribbon together. Sometimes the hot glue will stick to the needle. ❤💯

Hello, I thank you for the tutorial. I have a few questions. If a kid about 10 years old has a waist of 24 inches, how many yards of the tool do you recommend? Will the 16 yards do? To be clear the 16 yards is actually 8 yards? However, I was thinking of dividing 54 inches per yard width, divide by 2 which gives me 27 inches for each layer/yard of tulle. Final layers will be 13.5 inches, does that sound about right? If you can help me figure out the yardage I will need I would greatly appreciate it.

Other then the ribbon connecting the tulle do you see each color together vertically somehow? Or does that stay unattached?

So if I understand correctly, you cut a total of 12 yards, but then double up each colour, so you sew a 6 yard length of tulle in total? Or do you actually cut 24 yards, double that up to get 12?
