The thing that's not apparent in this animation is that "we have to be fast" "it's down the road" and "it's delicious, and it has plenty of alcohol." Are all REAL QUOTES from the restaurant owner in this press release.

I live in Wichita and Spangles is absolutely wild. Horrible 50s era aesthetic screwed or bolted into every wall with either an Elvis or Marilyn Monroe statue somewhere in each restaurant.
It’s cheaper to buy their screwdriver slush than it is to just get an orange juice slush by itself. Truly marvelous.
Went from super strict alcohol laws to selling screwdrivers in the drive thru. Like the drivers weren't bad enough lmao.

@@Middcore they put it into a little in unresealable bag. If you open it, and you get pulled over, the officer could look to see that the bag had been unsealed.
The issue is that the cups the alcoholic beverage is in is the normal cup you'd get if you got like a soda. So presumably (I've never ordered an alcoholic drink from there. I just really like their fries lol) you could just take the cup OUT of the bag and throw the bag away and no one would be the wiser.
I grew up in Kansas and had mild culture shock when I moved to a state with less strict liquor laws. Is alcohol still not sold on Sundays or have they eased up on that as well?
(For people not familiar with this old(?) law: You could still buy alcohol in restaurants on Sundays, but not bottles in liquor stores. Grocery stores would only sell beer with

Hot tip: they do, in fact, serve them in heavy duty glass mugs. They come in regular, for 99¢, and Grande for $2.99. You can add an extra shot to any size drink for 99¢ extra.
How those restaurants have not turned into murder scenes, I have no idea.
Is a Grande three times the size of a regular one?

@@Middcore Yeah, it is a VERY local fast food burger joint with just enough success to be commonplace if you live here but practically unheard of if you're not. There are plenty of kids that don't realize it isn't just another McDonald's or Burger King sized franchise since it is literally just about as frequent here as said fast food locales.
I lost it at "Spanglers has broken bad" Travis might not have the most frequent lines, but boy howdy are they good ones!

My hometown is Wichita where Spangles is, when I visited last month these margaritas are now available through DRIVE-THRU and have the option of getting a regular size for 99 cents or a grande (about the size of a sonic large) for $3, you can also get extra shots added to the drinks. I got a grande strawberry margarita in the drive thru when I went, and I gotta say this is one of the best things that America has ever done they are very delicious and effective

As someone who lives in wichita the mention of spangles and then Woodlawn threw me for a hard loop because I wasn’t expecting it.
As somebody who lives in the area (literally have been to THAT Spangles multiple times) and got to experience it first hand, this munch squad was still fucking buck wild.
And an update for the many non-kansans out there: Yes, they have implemented into ALL stores these $0.99 Margis and Screws (no I will not apologize for the shortening of those words) AND IT IS STILL AROUND DESPITE THE PANDEMIC!
One time me and all my friends went to an applebees because they had 1 dollar margs fully intending to get to' up from the flo' up and one of them drank so many so fast they threw them all up in the bathroom before they could even get drunk and I live by that.

God this is one of my favorite bits, I was in tears listening to this for the first time and I’m so glad someone has made an animatic of it (especially you, I love your style!)
Spangles is great though. They have the best fries and a garlic burger I rarely get anymore for the sake of my cardiac health, but it is worth it. And they no longer have 99c drinks but they will sell you alcohol on Sundays after the liquor stores have closed. From the drive through. There’s an option for an extra shot for 99c.

Spangles is tasty, but this shit is bananas, especially at the launch restaurant. I made a trip to Wichita just to confirm this story when they talked about it.
Yeah this bit is HILARIOUS, but no joke Spangles has great food and i DEFINITELY recommend eating there if you ever have the chance. Their fries are the best and their icecream is delicious. Not to mention they have some bomb ass burgers (I like the mushroom swiss burger in particular). And their breakfast bowls are hella good as well! Honestly my favorite restaurant 10/10. Literally went to one for icecream earlier today

I go to the Spangles they’re discussing all the time and this Munch Squad hit like a kick to the face. (Yes, the margaritas are now at all Spangles - however, they’re now $2.)

This might be one of my favorites.
My first interaction with Spangles is when I threw up their breakfast following the Kansas State Thespian Conference in 2005. Last year, I threw up after having their lunch and a margarita. One thing you can say about Spangles: The ability to keep their food down has been consistent for almost 20 years. 😂
