All this hate between the German- and Slovenian-speaking population in Carinthia and thanks to that the "Windischen" retreated and wanted to distance themselves from the Carinthian Slovenes. The older generations even kept us young people from learning our language and today we only have German as a mother language. Why can't we just get along? Why do the Carinthian Slovenes have to be so radical? Our language "Windisch" will die with our grandparents' generation and our traditions become a challange because we don't know the language to sing our songs.

Also, I can't understand how you dont resist, at least with your identity and language against an aggressive and fascist state like Austria, instead you assimilated to them

Have you ever asked yourself, what have you written in your post above? Your language "Windisch"? Do you even know what Windisch means? What kind of language is this, if this is a language at all? And in the video, the old guy said, he speaks "windisch" and the reporter understood every sentence of it, who, by the way, speaks slovene. How come your language of so called "Windisch" is so similar to slovene? And do not worry, your "Windisch" will not die, you just have to go accross your south border (considering you live in Austria) and you will be able to practice "Windisch" as much as you like. In Carinthia there is not much of a "Windisch" left, since german speaking fanatics exterminated it.
And about a hate you mentioned: I guess you do not know the history of the people of Austria and the people of the Carinthian Slovenes. The Carintian Slovenes were there (in todays part of Austria Carinthia) way long ago. Unfortunately after the 1920 and especially during the WW2, this area was "seeded" on purpose by the german speaking people in order to push out the Carinthian Slovenes from that area. These people were deported by force, executed or forcely assimilated by the german speaking people. And this denial of these indigenous minority of Slovene ethnicity is still going on today, unfortunately. So hate, in the first place, comes from the german speaking people.
It is really unthinkable, that there are people today, that are denying this, some of them present themselves as a "casualties" and as you mentioned the Carinthian Slovenes are radical. It is just out of proportions.

Yes, because there is no "windisch". This is simply just a really wicked construct of german speaking people in order to exterminate the real Carinthian Slovenes.
