Alexander was extremely talented with respect to his work in ballet dancing and in the movies that I have seen him in. For me, his most prized endeavor was in Die Hard, as Karl, but you could clearly see the extent of passion that he poured into all of the roles that he took on during his career. Although it was only until many years later when I learned of his passing back in 1995 (now almost precisely 28 years ago), it still shocks (and even haunts) me to realize that he is no longer with us. The cause of his death remains unclear (and it would have been a little more satisfying to have some closure), but his legacy remains stronger than it ever did. Rest in peace, Alexander Godunov - despite almost three decades elapsed since your passing, you are forever remembered.

professionals, fans of classical ballet, have never forgotten the Russian star of the Bolshoi Ballet, the unique premiere dancer in the ABT of the 80s, the talented actor A. Godunov! and 25 years after his death We love and remember him! Until now, Aleksandr is considered (by the aggregate criterion) the standard of a dancer and partner in classical ballet, the brightest, most beautiful dancer and actor of the Bolshoi Theater, ABT with limitless stage roles. Professionals admitted that in the Bolshoi, neither before nor after A. Godunov there was no dancer equal to his talent.

the author of the video - died long ago (in 2004). the professional activity of producer and screenwriter Rod Peterson falls on the period 1950-1981). in the 90s (at 91, at 95) he had only 2 jobs as a screenwriter. A commemorative video about A. Godunov is not included in his works. Probably, the video itself was compiled from a press release by Arlene Medan, manager of A. Godunov, in the same 1995, and timed to coincide with the memorable date. No one delved into the essence of the events that took place, no one remembers the details of the relationship between the manager Arlene Medan and her client and boss A. Godunov at the time of his death. Shortly before the sudden death of A. Godunov, similar to MURDER - A. Medan and A. Godunov were in a quarrel ... REVENGE of an offended woman, an employee and subordinate can be insidious and terrible ... even through the spread of posthumous dirty lies about the former employer, and who collaborated with A. Medan for 15 years. SOMEONE is very interested so that the true cause of death of the famous artist remains unknown. The video clip tells about Alexander until the age of 88, but SASHA lived and worked for another 7 years ... He had creative and eventful years. The last film with Sasha's participation was filmed in 95, and was released after his death, dedicated to his memory.

How come that no one in this world raised an issue of total negligence of Justice Authority to the abhorrent lies about the reasons of Alexander Godunov death and moreover about the evident murder of the world famous person. Of so many virtues. The reason of the quarrel between Alexander and his manager knows nobody though it's clear that after his visit to his home country he took his decision to bring his mom to America which ruined the plans of she-predator Medon. Where is she now with all Alexander's millions and his archive?!? Why no autopsy done to prove all her slander??? That is the common thing in such situations. But not in 'civilized' America and Europe.

It was a shock when the news of his death hit the world.
You know, it's funny... when his career as a dancer seemed to come to a premature end, he was making a career as an actor. After WITNESS and DIE HARD, super-stardom seemed to be in the cards. But he said "no" to just about every role that came his way. Not wanting to play a danseur or another terrorist, he was sidelined. It's sad... he bottled up all his emotions so that his anxiety and depression were killing him. He tried to drink it away. He put away so much tobacco and alcohol. It was no wonder he died so prematurely.

Kudos to Scott for the juicy details about Art Linklater's daughters death. I almost felt like I was there when it happened. I could just picture her clamoring over the counters and sink and jumping. I think she was probably murdered. I have no proof, but the guy that was with her at the time of her death Ed Durston was involved in another suspicious death of a beautiful young woman who had no drugs or alcohol her system when she 'drowned.' Art continued to tilt at windmills about the drug LSD. It fit in too well with his narrative.

The death of Alexander is like murder. And it is surprising that in the USA they did not investigate the death of the famous dancer and artist (and all newspaper and video publications of that period (1995) refer to the press release, to the words of the former employee and manager A. Godunov, who did not want to do an autopsy, to establish the true cause of death ... and after the death of A. Godunov, Arlene Medan simply disappeared with the money of the former boss. Moreover, neither friends nor relatives were invited to say goodbye to Alexander before the cremation. None of the relatives and close friends saw Alexander dead (and according to the will, the friends did not receive the urn with the ashes. Material values and Alexander's personal archive disappeared.
