@Felix Mitchell I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
literally just saw animals play tonight, CAFO was their "one more song" track. so amazing. euphoria. i broke down in tears when i got home. so overwhelmed. tosin and crew, amazing.
I was watching/listening and thinking he plays kinda like Charlie Engen from 5 Finger Death Punch (not 5FDP songs, his own stuff like on his IG and smaller bands)
Love em or not animals are a phenomenon like everyone on stage is living in his own realm but plays together with the others so damn well, cheers to these gods of music 🤘🏼
I agree. Tosin and Misha resurrected a dying art and redefined not only how the modern guitar is approached but also how to compose parts on it. Standing on the shoulders of the likes of Meshuggah and Dream Theater of course. Now everyone sounds like varying degrees of Misha and Tosin. Even the clean tone guitarists.
@@siliconiusantogramaphantis2122 well I’d have to disagree with even most clean tone guitarists sounding like Tosin and Misha in the sense that there’s guitarists such as Tim Henson, Ichika, and Manuel Gardener Fernandez who all have their own distinct sound too which aren’t as proggy, and they’re damn good too
FYI it's an acronym for "Confined Animal Feeding Operation", an industrial agriculture term where companies like Tyson have hundreds of chickens, pigs, or cattle crammed into a small space to maximize meat production. It fits with the whole band name, some folks online say Tosin is vegan or vegetarian, but idk if that's true
It doesn't like he's counting but rather singing the melody. If you've played a song hundreds of times you usually just feel the music and don't need to count along unless the drummer start doing crazy modulations.
It’s so hard to not stare at Tosin and freak the fuck out at what he’s doing on that guitar. And then at 3:36 you look at Matt and you freak the fuck out even more at what HE’S doing BAHAHAHA
saw them play it in 2009? 2010? something like that. still the best guitarist ive ever seen live. The best part was when they turned all the pedals off and homie with the beard laid down one of the most amazing original solo fingerstyle tracks ive ever heard. I used to play classical guitar a lot so that one had a big grin on my face.

man, just imagine if Garstka miss even a single ghostnote. that would ruin the whole song of this complexity and that kids only show that you get them money on pure professionalism everytime you watch these kind of artists live
Well, I was still happy it wasn't totally distorted like most phone recordings of loud concerts and tried to get the best out of it with some eqing, compression and mastering. But there are limits, what you can do. Sorry.
The guy plays technical exercises for the audience, and the listeners pay him money for it. And the guy probably plays music at home without an audience, so that she does not break off the buzz. A chic illustration to the fairy tale of Andersen about the dress of the naked king.
Everyone's dunking on this guy but I sort of get where he may be coming from: CAFO is definitely one of the "dumber" and flashier AAL songs. Super fast and complex but lacks the harmonic nuance of most other AAL songs and theres only a handful of different sections. It's very "young" music, which makes sense given that Tosin was very much still asserting himself as a player back then.
Definitely one of my favorite beginner songs
yeah this one took a little bit when i first started but it wasn’t too hard to get under my fingers. definitely recommended for new guitarists
maybe if the guitarist keep learning, someday he will be on same level with MGK.
Its true i started playing this 2016 and today im stucked on the start :)
I started to learn how to play that one about 5 years ago, now i can play any song(except this one)
Oh yeah easily
You can literally see his lips telling his fingers what to do... And they're LISTENING! :)
Wow, the first comment of someone who's channel I know and watch (even as a drummer!)! :-)

what a djentleman Tosin Abasi is
Man just said cafo like he's about to play wonderwall
Less COVID, more CAFO
YES
relaxing music for stress relief
If you have severe ADHD like me it actually is very soothing 😅
i have no idea how they could possibly remember all these songs...
Muscle memory
It's not hard to remember a song once you know how to play every part of it.
It just takes practice to be able to play it without any errors.
They’re just guessing the whole time

How nutty this Song is and then they play it this calm 🔥🔥
Kinda hard to concentrate and play it right if you're not calm
Its called mastery

The energy this song gives, it's just incredible. this is such an masterpiece

That run is so delicious damn
When the whole song is a run
You can tell that this song is hard as hell even for him
Apparently cafo is the "easiest song" for tosin. Says tosin himself in an interview.
That's such a great song. Absolutely amazing to see it performed live (on video).
Thanks for uploading!
