can you put a system that avoid bullet enemies with input? something like if the enemies fire you, you have to response in seconds to avoid the bullet or the attack. something as lion vs krauser in resident evil 4 in the knife scene or boss battle, that was very insane.
So far from the 2d action rpg, I like how you broken down is small pieces. I can do 15 min learned or implement something, and do again later. Or take a 5 min break. Sometimes a do back to back 7 min lectures. But definitely 3 videos instead of 1.
Hi Alex, I am really excited about your course! Currently doing your RPG Udemy course, and I'm loving it. Your work is fantastic - big thanks! Your teaching style makes learning fun and easy. It really motivates me to delve further into the fascinating world of game development. Looking forward to your upcoming courses. Keep up the great work! Thanks, Boris
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!❤️ It is very nice to know that people love what I'm doing. Upcoming one will be there soon. Wrapping up Sound Effects section and them starting to make a trailer.😁Finally
This is awesome, currently doing your Udemy Action RP course. However instead of 2D, I am doing with 3D object and 2d movement. So far i loving it, it was nice to learning about state machine. thanks, can wait to get it
So you making 2.5D game? Sounds very cool, I hope you succussed in your endeavors!😁 Thanks for your support man, I'm working hard everyday to finish it up
Hi AlexDev! I cant wait for this course on udemy! Do you have some ETA for the course? Also, are all from the video you mention will be included? Cars, procedural map, save system, maybe some kind of inventory?
Hello there! I'm glad you like it. I planned to release on December, but seems like I cannot make it till end of this months. Probably next one. Cars - Yes! Level generation - Yes! Save system - Yes, although I'm not sure how complicated it should be. For this game you don't need that much. Inventory ,probably no. There are no items for inventory except weapons
It's amazing level of progress here! I like the crystal idea. And I'm really impressed by your passion to improve and share it with others. Keep it up 🦾
Hi Alex most courses seem to run away from melee combat system or most courses have terrible combat system. It seem like its hard to build a AAA melee combat. Did you make melee as beautiful as your 2d rpg course? When I look at your course seems like its only a shooter vs enemies who are doing melee. Am I wrong?
Hello there! Thanks for your support, means a lot! Good question btw, regarding melee...so this game is designed to be a shooter, therefore I did not see the need of adding a melee combat. Of course, it depends on the scale and desired results, but...imagine this...if you adding a melee attack, you cannot just add one...you need more combo attacks, then it's better to be couple of weapons, not just one ...if that's the case, than you need different sets of animations...and probably some skills...and then movement should be different...and perhaps dodge should be there...and it goes like this forever...and now it's totally different game ...that's why there is no melee combat😁 In future, I want to develop a 3D RPG and that one will have all things needed... I'm only thinking what it should be like..more like dark souls or more like Diablo/PathOfExile
I hope that in this course the main character can have many different types of weapon ranges and can switch to fighting melee, and have ability skills if possible :D
definitely no melee, but there are 5 different weapons...at system that allows you to make whatever numbers of weapons you want. Regarding skills, I'm considering
I expected the course to be released by now but i was bit disappointed, although i do understand some system might have taken more time but i think adding the remaining lecture on the go (after course goes live)might be better, still when does the course going live, i m really interested in ai part.
Hello there! I understand you very well, I am disappointed myself. Releasing sections after main release it does feels like a good idea. To be very honest, I had this idea myself. Probably that's what I should do. Today, I've finished UI section. there is sfx and vfx left...which is really not difficult to do. So I think it's going to be in the nearest future. And... I AM SORRY
I bought the RPG Course, probably the best one on Udemy about Unity and how to make a 2D game, and definitely, I'll buy this one as well, can't wait for it...
Hey Alex..i would like you to make a video for making 2D AI enemies just like you had them in your 2D RPG course...would like to see more about state machines and AI enemies
@@unityalexdev yeah there are almost no tutorials or a proper udemy course like u which covers about 2D enemy behaviours :( im sure it would help alot of students like me who are approaching unity as a beginner
Hello there! I'm pleasant to see somebody asking me such questions. I definitely underestimated amount work I have to do, but I'm seriously close to finish. I just need to record UI,SFX and VFX sections...other things are ready. Also I kind of want to add extra...like roguelike elements, skills for player and droid companion...but I don't know if I should. Because I spent so much time on development, it would be nice to finally release it. Anyway, thanks for asking. Release hopefully in January, February the latest possible.
Was it good to watch them all in one video or would it be better to have 3 episode on each enemy group with more deep explanation on things?
For me, It's better to have 3 separate videos on each enemy group and more deep explanation :-)
