I will say as an Georgian, drink A LOT of water in the summer especially if you're outside a good bit. You will get dehydrated if you don't trust me. Also try Vidalia onions if you have the chance, it's nothing like you had before.

One thing to add: expounding about how you do things "up north" or "back home" or whatever will not be well received. We don't care how you do it up north.
I would add to what Mark said - June and September can get miserable with the humidity also. And on the coast keep in mind the possibility of hurricanes from August through October.

100 times yes on the manners. There are several meanings of "Bless your heart," depending on tone. If your mom told me that she was sick, "I'd say, 'bless your heart,' in an empathic tone. "Bless your heart" said in a sarcastic tone...you know what that means. Oh, and don't talk about how much better Philly or Chicago are...Delta Airlines is ready when you are. Another....don't assume Atlanta is a southern city. It isn't. There's Atlanta and then there's Georgia. Boiled peanuts are better than you'd think....wife hates them, though.

Bless your heart (nice version), coming from a Massachusetts snowbird who lives in Savannah for half the year, you are AGAIN pretty spot on. My comments as a Snowbird (who lives about 2 miles from Davy's Fruit and Veggie Stand) are as follows: some of us don't like the wet peanuts, the pollen is CONSTANT (called the Savannah Crut here) so buy alot of Benedryl, we've been coming for three years and luckily have yet to see a flying cockroach but recently found the giant Herculum (?) beetles who luckily are harmless, bug spray is needed ALL THE TIME as the knats love warmish weather, and thanks for the lovely shots of our beloved Savannah. Our gorgeous city is well worth visiting and your great shots show that. Thanks again. And yes, the islands of Simon, Jekyll and Dufuskie are wonderful!

Like it's a little too close to call which sweet tea was the best lol. If you're going to visit I'd recommend, staying at the Motel 6 Downtown. I was able to get from there to the Aquarium as well as Olympic Centininneal park just by walking, and I also got to Mary Mac's Tea room and the original JR Crickets by foot from there.

Every self-respecting Georgian ALWAYS has a pitcher of sweet tea in the fridge, always. And, yes, all you all, the boiled peanuts are a MUST. My favorite Southern expression is, "Y'all stay sweet no, y'hear?"

I live in Georgia, born here as well. Always found it amusing people ask for 'Un-sweet" tea. There's no such thing, it's just tea. Un-sweet sounds like it was sweet at first, then you took the sweetness out of it. It's tea by itself, or tea with sugar added.
