A true legend in Aviation history and one of the kindest people you would ever care to meet! She never retired, was still active in the industry at the time she passed away.

Buying the Eastern Shuttle wasn't a mistake. Making it too extravagant was. Had Mr. Trump kept things frugal cost-wise, but cabins tastefully appointed to some degree, then use the Shuttle as a springboard to launch new services to popular vacation spots with superior onboard service, he might have had a shot to succeed and remain in business long-term.
Beautiful livery for the 727. I remember seeing the Trump 727s at LGA. Honestly, it was a bad time to start an airline. The Gulf War was only a year and a half away, which would lead to expensive fuel and a recession. The industry had just finished a round of bad mergers that began in '87.
