- Your Chance to Own the first MUSCLE BIKE!!!! The Eliminator is a straight four, in the long and rugged tradition of the original 900cc superbike, the legendary Z-1. The basic engine was first seen in the '84 Ninja, of course, a 900cc giant killer sport machine that gave the best 1000 and 1100cc road burners a run for their money on the racetrack, at the strip, and in HOT ROD'S six-bike top speed shootout. The Ninja is back, but with the Eliminator as its new city-bred cousin. The high-revving Ninja motor was fine for making time out at the Willow Springs road course, but for the stoplight-to-stoplight crowd Kawasaki knew that more torque and low-end power was required. Launching an open-class street bike depends on keeping the front wheel down as the rear wheel hooks up. To get the Eliminator to put its energy into straightforward lunging, the chassis designers kept the Eliminator as long and low as possible. The wheelbase is a car-like 62 inches, and the seat height, with a rider aboard, is a nearly underground 27 inches. The rear tire is a breakthrough in motorcycle design and styling: it's over 6 inches wide, the largest tire ever sold on a production machine. This is a classic bike and is in really nice shape for the year. Like all our bikes, this will be fully serviced, inspected and detailed at the time you take delivery. That is sick! Id totally rock that!
@@Ten_Mil_Will It will pull your arms out at the sockets. And without the front end coming up. That's how I beat the bigger displacement machines. They had to roll off the throttle to get their steering back and I could just keep twisting. I miss that baby. Never got into the sports. I did love the blast offs though.
I remember these bikes well. Same engine as the 900 Ninja. They were cool bikes. But completely overshadowed by the VMAX. They didn't sell well. So like the Suzuki Madura. Didn't last long. Most considered the Honda V65 to be the 1st Muscle bike. But their were a lot of cool bikes in that era. I was riding a hopped up 80 LTD 1000. Fun times!
I had both This was a much better overall machine than the Max. It actually handled pretty good for a bike designed for the quarter. Outstanding build quality, good brakes. Unique styling. Mine always drew lookie loos at gas stations. I'd love to have one again.
I had the 600! I loved it @@Coldwarrior7781
Was a 96 tho
Kawasaki always did it right. Sure, we all know Honda is the king, and Yamaha has rarely made a bad product whether it's a bike, or a bass guitar, Kawasaki has always been THE king of forward innovation. Just looks at the 70's show CHiPs - Kawasaki. Need I say more ?
I would love to find a bike like this one.
Sounds rough compared to other ones I've seen on CZcams 🤔
Yeah rough idle. Mine always started up smooth. This almost sounds like a twin idling. Probably some valve regression. 80s metal technology did have that issue.
@@Coldwarrior7781 Motor sounds tired.
I thought it was the RX 1000 engine in these?
They mada a 1000 as well for 1 year. I liked the 900 much better. Best bike I ever had.
Wrong 😑 CB 750 in line four Honda is considered first modern muscle bike 69 to 83 : this is the model, that everybody tried to copy & reproduce, bigger faster it's the granddad ! And you guys didn't know that your dealership 🤷♂️ and that's not debatable !! 🙄
Asking?
