I feel a lot safer about leaving my bike somewhere knowing that Zac won’t stop until he has befriended every single bike theif in the country
Maybe he’s planning to become the grand bike thief, and steal all of the bikes into the UK to weld into a giant bike
Actually being so nice to him it might change his attitude in the future, he might go home feeling horrible about the whole thing, Zac is out there doing some serious psychological damage to the bike thieves around London with his politeness XD
Just as likely to go home and think what a sucker, hell got paid and shouted a beer I wonder what he would do if I stole his car(if he's got one) I'd be rich, who says crime doesn't pay certainly not Zac with his cash sack.
Honestly - I was sad that he didn't put a nailbomb or a stinkbomb under the seat to seriously put-out the Thief.
It would be an another story with me, first i would ask with an angered voice to give it back and if he doesen't well...... He would be on the first page of the newspaper

I like how the thief takes his hood off right before he steals the bike. Like he wants to be recognized on all the CCTV.
Almost as if what he said was true. He could have easily walked past off camera and noticed it and then walked past again at a later time. Yes he should have handed it into the police but who knows if that wasn't his plan before his mum got that call. Innocent until proven guilty and there is definitely reasonable doubt in my mind.

@@Dynamikcheese Makes me laugh when people hand stuff into the police. I'm a serving officer working in a London based force and stuff handed in to the station just sits there, no enquiries or attempts are made (as we can't facilitate returning items to people). If no one comes in to collect the item within a few weeks, it gets moved to "long term storage", from there after 1 year it is deemed as "lost" and "not wanted" and therefore it is sold at public auction with the proceeds going to charity. Most police forces work the same way, they can't legally keep the profit for themselves so they give it to good causes.

Also, this video is shot in England, where that kind of punishments have been banned for a long time. Only in Middle Eastern countries and Iran does this still sometimes happen.

The problem is that most of the time you might not be able to tell the difference between someone having trouble unlocking their bike and someone stealling a bike.

You know a thing called prision? It brings people down for being robbers, and its way worse than being ghosted, and an even better outcome for robbers imo. If he has less in life, he shouldn't be robbing, he should be looking for some work. His mom OWNS a church,. He's got a nice house and clothes, besides having a phone and money for alcohol. He isn't in need, so he doesn't deserve any simpathy at all.

But doesn’t that require the thief to have an iPhone? And since the lack of updates on the AirTag I don’t think he has one.

Recently, a friend and co-worker had his bike stolen the other day. To make it worse, we're cycling instructors in schools and it was robbed whilst he was speaking to the kids, inspiring them to learn, keep safe and enjoy cycling. So when I first clicked on this video all I wanted was sweet revenge like you, but his warmed the ol' heart and reminded me that people mostly are good. Just a couple bad eggs here and there. Doesn't get my mates bike back though. So yeah, bike thieves can go get eaten by snails or something.

You're a good lad, and this is ultimately why I watch your channel.
Zac think about it, the man brought the bike with him so that he may be able to give it back to you, he put it in the church so that you can track the location and come to the church and take it from there as church can act as a waypoint. Moreover he did show hesitation in taking the bike maybe his idea was to keep real thieves from taking the bike.
Let me suggest something way better. Use a real gps tag, and stick it inside the frame of the bike and secondly have it so that the bike has your contact visible so that if some Samaritan may find it they can tell you about it. That would be a better way to do this survey
