If you’re a sentimental person (read: borderline hoarder), it’s difficult to know when and how to get rid of the small bits of life that color our days. One creative solution to navigating and storing your ephemera is junk journaling.
Junk journaling is a cross between journaling and scrapbooking - it’s not as planned or meticulous as regular journaling, and it’s not as large scale or elaborate as scrapbooking. Simply collect your paper/smallish mementos and glue them into your journal, writing a comment about what it means to you, or some details about the event.
