This is probably the dumbest thing I have ever seen they should do away with truancy courts and truancy all together because if a kid doesn’t wanna be in school they shouldn’t have to be it’s ridicules and it’s just another way for a state to get money off of children because if a child ends up in truancy court for missing to many days they and there parents are even forced to go into court and some parents even get jail time because there child doesn’t wanna be in school and there could be family reasons school reasons or even health reasons and they get punished for it it’s wrong and the federal law should be changed to where there is no truancy court or even truancy all together they should make it to where if a parent or a student doesn’t wanna be in school they don’t have to show up or even attend because there being forced to have to attend 7 hours of hell just for the state to throw away money at schools honestly schools should be optional in the USA because the USA is a free country and it’s not Russia or even North Korea
I always get good grades at school all the way until corona hit, (I'm a very shy, quiet kid) so when we had to get on zoom in the first day, I just couldn't go in the call, I had a lot of anxiety and was just feeling stressed, now skip half a year of school and I'm going on zoom for only ² out of ⁸ of my classes, failing and now I'm sitting here going to 10th grade in about 2 weeks, and now I have a fear of phone calls, thank you school :)
