      Really doesn't make a difference, his measurements are on a DAC/Phone's inbuilt DAC that is specefic in it's ability to drive the IEM. Your phone might be worse (higher volume for same result) or better (lower volume for same result).

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Holds up well. It's got good detail but not quite as sharp in imaging. Where the Tangzu lacks in bass, this makes up for with a healthy amount of it. These are more enjoyable to listen to over all. If you prefer classical or only acoustic music and you're okay with a flatter bass response, the Tangzu is a nice set to own, otherwise, this is a great set if you want more depth.

      @PaulsPOV  Před 10 měsíci

      Ah, I quite liked the BL03 when I reviewed them. The Tangzu won't be as warm sounding, and it's not as excitable in the bass. The Hola is a nice set but I wouldn't call it an upgrade from the Blon. Rather, it's got a different "flavour" of sound. Have a look at the Simgot EW200 I reviewed recently. I quite like those.

      One thing to keep in mind since you're coming from a set of TWS earphones is, these will not have a heaviness or bloat in the bass. These are tuned more toward having a more neutral sound and for clarity rather than thump.
      If you decide to pick up a set, I'd love to know what your impressions are between the TWS and IEMs, post 5 to 7 days of use.

    hi sir , I'm a beginner audiophile. my friend recently gave me his old DAC (FiiO olympus 2 ) . it would be very helpful if you can answer few questions .
    1) should we keep the volume high on DAC or Windows for best audio experience ?
    2) what is the ideal volume to put on DAC and windows and Spotify (Windows app) ?
    (I mean whats the right combination of volume levels between them, for Example: 100% Volume on Windows and 10% on DAC and 100% on Spotify or vice versa.I want to enjoy music at safe levels and prevent hearing damage )
    3) what is the IEM that u would recomend under 2K ? ( looking for balacnce sound and comfortable in ear)
    4) whats the max SAFE volume that we can go on SAMSUNG GALAXY BUDS 2 Pro without hearing damage ?

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV  Před rokem +4

      It's great to see you're concerned about hearing damage and loss. It's a very real problem being faced by many people today, even in very young age groups.
      The ideal way to set up your volume is to set it right from the source primarily. 0-20% is too low an output, you might get hiss and not much detail in the lower mids and bass when you increase the volume from your DAC/Amp. Set your primary source, not any higher than 80-85%. Try 90% and see how it sounds. If it's distorting or "clipping" go back down to 80%. Primary source feeding at 80% should give you a good and strong signal, after which your DAC/Amp may not need to go any higher than 30% or so.
      If you're listening to audio on speakers, you can download free app that show you the decibel levels in the room or the area you're in. Anything above 85db or 90db over 30mins of listening time can cause hearing loss in the long run. So it's best to be careful with your ears in loud environments.
      With regard to the Galaxy buds, I haven't tested them yet but usually I don't go above 50% volume with any TWS earphones so that should also be around that area.
      For IEMs, consider looking at these few that I have reviewed. I've got indepth reviews on all of them.
      KZ ZSN Pro X, Truthear Hola, Salnotes Zero, Blon BL03 and the Tangzu Wan'er. I have quite enjoyed each of these and all have slightly different "flavours" so it's worthwhile watching my reviews on them to see which one you'd prefer. But as per your description, I think you'd like the Truthear Hola.
      Hope this helps.

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV  Před rokem +1

      I use a sound meter app to show me the noise levels in areas. Decidlbel levels won't work digitally, it'll have to be after the noise occurs from a speaker or earphone. The apps on phones won't be able to tell you what dB your earphones are playing at as far as I know.
      When I say source, I mean, wherever the music is coming from. If you're playing from your computer, it shouldn't be more than 80%. If you also have volume control in ur fiio feeding your iems, it should be adjusted after you've set your computer to 80%.
      If you're playing from Spotify, I presume you're playing from your phone, this will be the source. It can be at 80% before your Amp stage. Whatever is amping your IEMs should ideally sit between 30-40%. If you're listening to volumes above 50% with IEMs, there's a possibility you've lost sensitivity, and it might be worthwhile going to meet an ENT specialist and an audiologist for a hearing test.

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV  Před rokem +1

      There is some truth in this. More drivers don't necessarily equal more detail retrieval. It boils down to how these drivers are tuned. Having more drivers does take the load off one driver having to do everything, so this can lead to a better sound due to budget constraints. Having multiple drivers can give you a different experience compared to just having a dynamic driver for certain.
      If your priority is detail recovery in this budget, the Tangzu Wan'er should suit your pallet, but it's not too bass happy a set of IEMs. So, as expected, there's a trade-off with something or the other. If it had heavy bass, it would eat into the imaging a bit and mid range.

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV  Před rokem +2

      Imaging from a set of speakers or earphones is the ability to be able to pick out specific nuances in the audio you're listening to. Speakers or earphones that aren't tuned or made well tend to have a very muddy presentation when it comes to this detail presentation, so you won't be able to listen or pick out the finer details in your audio. It's called imaging because you can visualize what you're listening to if the sound is clear and detailed.
      Soundstage is the space the audio sits in. If you're listening to two earphones, in this case, left and right, you can hear your audio from two sources, but you'll also hear your vocals from the center (phantom channel). It's called a phantom channel because you can hear from a source that doesn't exist. Much like this phantom channel, sound can appear to come at you from around a set of speakers or from further out of earphones/headphones. This leads to a wider soundstage experience. Usually, this is observed when listening to audiophile grade audio equipment and when you listen to high-quality audio files. Being able to listen to your music from within this bubble of stage gives you a more immersive audio experience and is usually more prominent with higher end equipment.
