I was amazed by that as well. And his leg control at 3:33 where he has to be tense and relaxed at the same time. Tense in order to just stay up on his board, and relaxed to have the ability to react with his leg to the oscillations of the board while bottom turning at those speeds. Notice the way his leg moves up and down like a spring and his body remains overall fixed.

Nicely done! Really appreciate the reverence you gave to the wave and the surfers. What a horrendous moment at 9:30-EXACTLY what you don't want to do! He needed to paddle at 110% as SOON as he started paddling, not five strokes in and halfway up the face already. Wonder what kind of beating that was... much respect to all that brave those waves and keep the surfers safe including the medical staff for and at the nearby hospitals. That stuff is no joke.
I watched it live the other day. The guy who got caught inside on that bomb got a serious beat down. Thank God he made it to the beach
@@mikenelson7894 It's a trip to me how those guys risk their lives out there. Not a lot of people understand just how heavy it is...glad to hear that he made it out okay. He lives to charge another day!!!
