@@philipk9345i it's not buried in the lore, you just need to talk to Ranni while in possession of the black knife print. She basically admits to orchestrating the NoBK and killing herself for reasons.
I have a friend who, to this day, has not gotten out of Lingrave nor fought a single boss. Makes me sad to think of what they have missed.

I have never played a game like Elden Ring before. It made me so alive, furstrated , excited, challenged and it remind me what was like to play a video game when i was young , a feeling i didn't know i missed for over 20 years.

With the DLC trailer, there's a likelihood she was co-conspiring or being manipulated by Miquella.
A lot of item descriptions already give the impression of Miquella being the true mastermind behind the shattering, and might have even planned on Mohg kidnapping him to get rid of his mortal flesh.

@@M0ONCommander isn't stated in the lore that Miquella liked or cared about Godwyn? so him being behind his death seems rather strange. I also don't remember being any info about Miquella being behind the shattering, only Ranni and perhaps Marika ( strange bc she cared for her son Godwyn but we all know how Marika's love for her children goes...*cough cough* Morgot/Mogh) but I would love to learn more. More or less new to the game.
miquella loved godwyn and thats why malenia fought radahn in the first place too find a way to let godwyn die a true death and to fix the shattering@@goncaloferreira8543

I wish we could've seen more cinematic scenes from the Shattering, especially the seige of Lyndell. It's just so cool to look at, and it brings back fond memories of watching "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" for the first time, and the scenes of the Seige of Minas Tirith.

All while fending off all manner of foes along the way. What an absolute badass Finlay was.
I stopped playing Elden Ring for a while since at the time I thought I would never beat it. I'm back at it again though, and I'm on my way to Mt. Gelmir. Wish me luck boys!

Back when this came out in 2022 we had no idea what was happening, but now seeing Marika and Radagon fighting to destroy and mend the Elden Ring is really awesome.
One of the best games I have ever played, and one of the most cinematic and surreal experiences I have ever had.
To anyone considering buying this game, do it if you’re willing to commit yourself to one of the most colossal games ever. The game is massive, and very challenging.

@@mikeb4588 took me 140 hours to complete. And that’s because I actually did exploring instead of just going through the main bosses right away and looking up guides to everything in the game. I actually tried to learn things on my own.

@@mikeb4588 I didn’t take my time, I played like any other person would, but I just didn’t look up guides or immediately go to the main bosses, I actually went exploring and did some side quests in between the main bosses, like you should. And every time I explored I’d find something awesome, and I probably haven’t even found everything yet. Idk what’s so upsetting about that to you lmao

@@willsmith124 All it would require is people who understand and respect the lore, the art and the craft, and are willing to dedicate themslves to it. Budget isn't necessary, you can film it in your backyard. If you do it right, people will love it.

He did, Malenia had to use a failsafe just so she could get away, her going into a coma and Radahn becoming a zombie. If she didn’t unleash the rot she would have lost and even unleashing it she didn’t win.

@@-_-ligmaMalenia was well known as an undefeated champion and well known swordsman. Radahn even let her put her prosthetic arm on to have an honourable fight. Malenia was able to bloom and use the rot in her fight with the tarnished because she had already bloomed at least once before and had no needle suppressing the rot, she essentially succumbed to the rot in a last effort to beat us. If she was able to do that against Radahn, arguably she would have won outright yes, but she didn’t, she passed our straight after blooming and unleashing the rot. Her soldiers having to carry her and flee from the battle. Radahn did lose his mind but that only happened after the fight ended, he was still able to fight after first being afflicted with rot.
I wonder if this game will be any good!
could you imagine if the game opened with a proper cinematic like this, and rannis quest was fleshed out just a bit more as the main story, could you imagine how beautiful it would be narratively

I still can’t believe I beat this game it took months. It’s tough though because now anything else is lukewarm and boring. I put the sticks down to decompress I think about running through this game one more time. It was amazing.

Is there a real pvp mode yet?
The game has invasions if the other player is doing coop and there is an arena mode you can access via statue at the main hub. You can also put down a duel sign in places where the community gathers for impromptu fight clubs.
@@KSharp2 Right so no real pvp mode, just ganking invasions, and duels.
Is the arena mode 5v5 or something? Is gear equalized at all in it?
@@martinfischer277 Arena mode is a good time but it wont sell you on the game by itself if you arent feeling the pve. All pvp in the game is matched to a level range with a little bit of scaling.

You're are not playing as good guy in Elden Ring. Almost all path lead either to utter destruction or to totalitarian ruling. There's only two somewhat good endings if you stretch enough to call it a good ending. In none of the Souls series you were supposed to be a good guy, probably only in Sekiro

The entire plot of Elden Ring is that the world has gone to shit and the ancient, once great civilizations have crumbled into madness and rot. You play as a tarnished, one of many who were exiled from the setting of Elden Ring long ago; potentially good, potentially bad, and undeniably powerful.
Generally, the Soulsborne genre doesn't have a good guy, just a whole lot of guys that have been broken in a whole lot of ways. What's worse is that the few good guys in the series have a trend of meeting sticky ends.

Im still not thinking this game is a good as everybody says it it. A game that is trying so hard to protect its story from the player wich forces them to either watch guides to understand where to stand at what time to get all the plot or to study youtube for hours to get it, isnt a good designed plot at all. Its a barrier that keeps so many people away and all they are left with is a typical Soulslike boss killing game. I like it. I played it through. But man I wont play the game 20 times just to get all the hints I was already spoilered about tenfold.

@@Pray4FLYGODI played the damn game! Nothing about this story is accessible! its all based on random chance that you happen to run across the right person at the right moment on the map and if you miss them because youve been occupied with different stuff you jsut miss it entirely.
The game forces you to check the map over and over and over. if it werent for youtuber who did literally exactly that, this game would eat up DOZENS of hours just to keep the plot relatively together. f that!

I enjoy Elden Ring and Dark Souls, but also don't like that idea of hiding story and lore into items and surroundings. Why the fuck i have to grasp the plot from items? I'm quite busy and have work to do, family... This can only be good only for hardcore fans. Thanks to youtube that there are some guys who make lore videos and try to explain what the shit is happening there 😄
