Wonderful tutorial, I especially like the quilted aspect! However there are only so many bags one can make. Please could you make an oversize quilted bed throw from scrap material. This would be very useful given that energy prices are so expensive at the moment, so maybe we need to go back to old school methods of keeping warm.

Lizzie, I agree with you - only so many bags to make! So I’ve been using two similar types of his patterns, one for the front and one for the back (instead of all the same, as in this one, or plain backs ), and I’m gradually replacing all my old grocery shopping bags - much better looking!
But you could take, say five or six of your favourite patterns of his, use different lots of scrap fabrics ( like he does from charity shops ), repeat them - for example 6 across and 6 or 7 down, depending on the size you want. If you can afford to use interfacing on all of them for warmth, you could then use an old sheet as a liner. Good luck if you decide to have a go!
