    $12k is cheaper than a Stern LE and it comes with a topper and pinstadium but better. Plus every LED being RGB mean sooo much better light shows.

    I played a ton of Elton John at this past MGC. IMHO it was the BEST game at the show. I would love to own one, but $12k is a no go. That's why a Jaws premium sits in my game room instead.

    I immediately knew what to do from looking at the playfield. It's easy to learn, hard to master. I'm so glad Ritchie helped JJP figure out the flippers.

    Love my EJ CE… the price was worth it. Compare to many sterns and (even the EJ PE) and there is no comparison.
    EJ CE, that topper on a Steen would be 2K or more. Rad calls verses vinyl, invisible glass, shaker, inner art blades, over 1500 RGB LEDs, back and under lit cab. All interactive with the game. The light shows… damn.
    I guess if they stripped all of that out maybe they could be better priced for a pro at Sterns almost 7 K price point. JJP has a winner and the price is justified. I would pay the 15 K again…
    Just my opinion/ thoughts. No harm or foul, love what you do!

    We agree again.. Man this game shoots sooo good and it looks good! I still say everyone needs to catch up with Stern on IC. Agree on the price though, To rich for my blood. According to everything I've heard/read they are selling them. Matrix will be pricey AF, get that wallet ready! That's my dream theme for sure.

  • @DaveHWasHere
    @DaveHWasHere Před měsícem +3

    I agree 100% EJ is a great shooter. NO game is worth 12k to me. At 8k, I probably would have bought one already (it is that good of a game). But 12k on a hobby game where I've had issues with JJP games I've owned in the past... no chance.

  • @willierants5880
    @willierants5880 Před měsícem +1

    Man what is there to say, EJ is awesome. Plain and simple. Everything about it. Hate the theme? Doesn't matter, it's a fantastic shooter with rails that go places that will surprise you. Lights, music it'll blow your mind. This is JJP's best game period. I 100% agree on price. Especially in this economy.

  • @ScottyPinball
    @ScottyPinball Před měsícem +2

    JJP is moving up market, not down. The only way to justify EJ at 12k is for the next game to be more. They want to separate themselves from the poorer Stern class buyers. I predict and recommend JJP raise prices at least 10% on the Matrix.

    Jersey Jack (and Stern) need to learn a lesson from Alfred Hitchcock.
    Hitchcock at one point decided to see if he could make a major Hollywood film on the same budget as a "made for TV" movie.
    The result? Psycho.
    Maybe Jersey Jack / Stern shouldn't be so concerned about how flashy and amazing their tables can be, but instead be concerned with overall quality and price.

  • @MattyK695
    @MattyK695 Před 14 dny

    Yes you get a lot more bling for the money compared to a stern LE. But at the end of the day, the code is inferior to a stern. That’s why they will always be second tier to stern. They need an SE model again

    It is a fun and beautiful game. My one gripe with the one on location near me is, the inner loop shot where you collect clothing items, is an instant drain to the right out lane. Not sure if other EJ pins have the same issue or if it's just that one.

  • @xtradude
    @xtradude Před měsícem +2

    Truer words have not been spoken ;-) I love the pin and I will own one in the future. But 2nd or even 3rd Hand. To much money for me at the moment. But Steve did an instant classic for sure. And the music got me in a good mood playing. This surprised me more than anything.

  • @delt35
    @delt35 Před měsícem +1

    Why would the price go up on this? Oh yeah - b/c no one is buying it at this price and therefore, they're going to stop running it completely? If that happens and the available machines are very very limited, sure. Otherwise, no one in their right mind should buy this game until the market drops out, which it will. They're making a lot of these and they'll continue to sit at distributors.

    I have played pinbal for a good 40 years now and currently have 4 in my line up. I don't understand why every manufacturer is relying on a licensed theme. I am sure part of that 12 grand is to cover the license fee. Why can't the manufactures design a great game, with their own theme and let it pay for itself? They could maybe do a licensed theme every once in a while. Look at the machines in history that got us here. There were licensed themes here and there. But instead of relying on licensed themes, they just made good games.
