John Wick is the best action movie to come out in a long time. It captures the spirit of the 80s and 90s action movies. So many other action movies today are just meh but John Wick and John Wick 2 match up well with the classics.

Thoughtful, almost philosophical, a quiet, middle-aged professional, who takes pride in the job, and doesn't get emotionally involved. . Only an actor as great and von Sydow could make such an interesting character out of such reserve....

Though I like your list, I also highly recommend the following assassin movie:
1. Uma Thurman in Kill Bill - the movie was all about notoriously deadly and highly skilled assassins and Uma was facing one by one.
2. Jason Bourne - this guy was incredibly highly trained assassin
3. Kevin Costner in 3 Days to Kill
4. Mads Mikkelsen in Polar movie
5. Antonio Banderas in The Assassins
6. Jennifer Lawrence in Sparrow

I would add Christian Wolff in "The accountant", played by Ben Affleck. And the character "Mosca" who is after Michael Corleone in Godfather part 3, he´s relentless, even tough he don´t get his target he´s the definition of an assassin.

It feels like the "Another" lists are always more interesting. First top 10 you have to say the almost obvious choices but here there's more variety and obscurity. John Wick is the absolute fucking man. Best action movie to come out in decades
