5 days Bike Packing in Argyll, Scotland

- I spent 5 days exploring the Argyll area of Scotland, using some of the Wild About Argyll Bike Packing Trail, a 655km route that puts you right amongst the beauty of Argyll.
Argyll's an area I've wanted to explore more of since paddle boarding some of it last year during my Scottish Adventure Triathlon. It was really cool to see it from the land this time - and bike packing was an ace way to do it!

WOW! We love how much you loved exploring Argyll - you really have shown exactly why it's called Scotland's Adventure Coast! You are an inspiration! Love it!
Stunning scenery mixed with a sprinkling of bonkers lol đđ€Ł loved it
Love this comment - Iâll send you a signed copy of Dancing in the Midge Shite as a thanks đ
Sarah you are such a joy
đ„°đ„č glad you enjoyed the video, makes the blood sweat and tears of editing worthwhile đ
A new fit for adventure film always makes the day better, Cheers
Yey! Hope you like it đđ»
The Mental cow is back đâ€
đđ compliment accepted đź
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip round my back garden.
Never a dull moment đ Thanks Sarah. Waffle on!
55 mins of your life youâll never get back đ
well that's brightened up my day, another film from Sarah, always worth the wait.
Thanks butt, hope it didnât disappoint đđ»
Cracking video and superb photography - great work!
Absolutely gorgeous... Scenery quite nice too. Thanks Sarah great video as always and you look great in HD on the big screen. Shine on x
Great video! You're quickly becoming one of my favourites on CZcams alongside Murray's Scotland's Mountains (that would be an awesome colab)
Keep doing what you're doing and don't change a thing, just brilliant!
Being semi local, itâs good to see places I know.
Scotland west coast best place !
What a place to live!! đ Need a lodger? đ
@@FitforAdventure hahah you bring that banter stay for free anytime đđ»
Absolutely brilliant - loved it đ shame about the weather though đ âïž
Absolutely brilliantly presented, so nice to someone genuinely so enthusiastic! Well done
I did adult swimming lessons just before covid - never really did it as a kid⊠one session with the teacher and I was SO BUZZING ABOUT SWIMMING đđđđđ amazing the difference a good teacher makes, itâs such a buzz!
I was due for a dose of your good vibes.
Hope it lives up to the good vibes expectations đŹđđ»
@@FitforAdventure So far so good- thx!
So nice to see and hear you again Sarah. With everything thatâs going on in this crazy ass world just now, you are much needed medication and meditation. Peace, love, and respect to you young lady đ
Currently stuck inside my hotel room in Skopje, North Macedonia - thanks to a gigantic thunderstorm. This'll do nicely, thanks.
Good timing! Hope you like it đđ»
Great video. Beautiful sunset when out on your paddle board. Thank you for sharing. Take care.
Wonderful Sarah love it as always your still nuts what makes it so good. Take care and keep them coming
Wey Hey, cheers Sarah đ„°
Enjoy pal!
I've been waiting for this to drop. Inspired by my favourite mad Welsh woman I'm starting a five day trek from Oban to the Cairngorms on Friday. If I get bitten by midges I know who to blame đ±
Iâve instructed them to be extra ferocious and itchy to give you the full experience - youâre welcome đ Have a mint time mate!! Iâd love to see your route for this and to hear how it goes đđ»
@@FitforAdventure I was midge lunch in County Kerry this weekend hiking up Carrauntoohil so I'm hoping I've built up some immunityđ
I always intended to do that the other way around when I lived in Braemar but somehow it never happened... It looked like an excellent walk... One day maybe!
Thank you so much for this beautiful video it was just what I need I been feeling so down the last couple of days so that made me so happy đđŒâ€ïž
So sorry that youâve been down, and very happy that this helped a bit! Scotlandâs beauty is a healer đ Take care x
Yay, you're back! I followed your journey on Instagram but it's been great to see this video version too. Scotland stole my heart years ago, it's one of my favourite places ever. This video has made me want to go back again very soon. Thanks for sharing. x
Yessss, thank you for watching, hope you get back up there for a fix soon! (Iâm assuming itâs âupâ for you too, Scotlandâs âupâ for everyone unless you live in Iceland though right? đ )
so true what you say regarding swim coaching and what you learn. I learnt to swim as a child but also got additional coaching as an adult and realised what I was doing before was just moving in the water.
Shine on you crazy diamond đ
Itâs nice watching someone upbeat and fun enjoying the uk, keep up the great work! đŽââïž
Well. It worked.
I'm now planning a trip to Carnasserie Castle.
Itâs so fun! Go at sunset - itâs mega đđ»
Great video. I have just spent three weeks on holiday in that area as I do most years. I really enjoyed watching your bike tour in Argyll as its my favourite area the the UK. I spent a lot of my time visiting the small islands around Oban including Lismore in my small inflatable boat. Its great seeing Oban and Lismore on a bike tour. Thank you. really enjoyed watching your channel, well done. Atb Steve đ
You make our day Sarah whenever you post a new video. I have cycle toured Scotland for many years and I too love Argyle and Bute. Visited many of the places youâve included here r you must visit Lochranza, my favourite stop in argyle, Jura, my second favourite and lastly, Colonsay and Oronsay. Live the dream Sarahđ
Cracking vid.... I love the scenery and crystal clear waters... Everything was just brilliant...you just keep getting better and better x
Thanks for these Sarah! Really love your mad, fun filled adventures :)
All clear water looks amazing when the Bristol Channel is your local splishy splashy.
đđ itâs so true! Bought goggles to swim - donât know why I bothered, canât see shit. Actually I can see shit, thatâs the problem đ
@@FitforAdventure Admittedly Barrybados would be a lot more Bados than Barry if it wasn't for the shit floaters.... but it's still better than Weston-super-Mare.
Hi Sarah great to c you again and great zany video as usual
Haha thanks butt đđ»
OMG amazing! Thanks for the ideas for summer !!
The weather looked freakishly good! Gorgeous!! đ€©
The scenery and sunsets were stunning Sarah and you showed it off brilliantly.
Werenât they!!! Possibly the longest run of sun in Scotland ever, how lucky was I đ Thank you for watching đđ»
Hey Sarah! Nice to see you again! Loved this adventure it really made me want to explore some of those beautiful islands! The sea and the sights and the sounds and the food look amazing!! Thank you for cheering my day!!
Made my morning. Thanks so much for doing these videos and never not waffle please. Loved every minute of it! đ€
Such incredible sunrise and sunsets you've caught on this trip!
A really great inspiring video. Yet again. So many thanks for sharing.
Very nice , more bikepacking please.
Got it đđ»
Great video and thanks for showing so clearly the route on a map. Incredible how lucky you were with the weather.
Awesome! That dark sky camp spot looked lush and it's always nice to see beaver footage obvs. Keep on waffling - you're brill! All the best, Andy
Thank you for laughs and the amazing journey you took us onđđđđđđ
Fantastic film Sarah. Absolutely loved it :)
Itâs been a pleasure watching your video, like all the ones you make entertaining as well as bing informative .
Wow.... what's views. Fabulous trip and loved those castles.
Another fantastic video and adventure Sarah, thank you
Wonderful Sarah! More please.
Cool trip! Good luck with the crawling =)
Fantastic video Sarah, I just love your enthusiasm. The first castle you visited with the pigeon poo on the stairs, where you said there a hole down there, well that was a long drop. it would have had a timber capping on it with a hole large enough for you to sit and do your business on, basically a medieval WC. I can't wait for the next adventure, thanks for taking us along ATB Big Dave Scotland
Yessss - love your videos! Especially when theyâre in Scotland đ„° Amazing trip! (Must learn how to do moving map animation thingiesâŠ)
Wow, that was so much fun!
Thanks Sarah, the effort you put into these videos is mind blowing. What a great place Scotland is.
Thank you Kev! Thatâs why Iâm such a rogue and sporadic uploader đ Very pleased when people enjoy them though. Thanks dude đđ»
Always interesting and fun to watch. A spirit that inspires without being too serious. Comical comments that make you smile đ.
Those beavers thoughâŠ. Nice!
beautiful video! love your adventures!
Thanks for another great video! Always longing back to Scotland and this makes me feel a lot better đŽó §ó ąó łó Łó Žó żđ
Hope you get to go back soon!! đđ»đ
Another amazing adventure đgreat video Sarah once again đwatched it while chilling near tryfan mountain đ đđŽó §ó ąó ·ó Źó łó ż
Loved this so much. We love watching your videos for inspiration and laughs. The first clip had us đ€Łâ„ïž
What a fantastic video, thank you .
Really cool to see bike adventuring in my old back yard(used to live in Argyll), thanks!!! I have ridden over 20k miles by bike now and find the best way to reduce punctures are tubes and kevlar tire liners. Here in the SF bay area we have a plant that sheds thorns, the impale themselves on your tires by some kind of magical force, sticking right through and wounding the tube. The tire liner keeps them at bay, also works good for glass/nails/... If you ever make it over to the west coast USA, you should do the PCT trail and then bike back from Vancouver to San Diego along the coast. Take in the side trips to Kings Canyon/Sequoya, Yosemite Valley, Whitney, Crater Lake, Mt. Rainier,... Could have a really nice year, or 2 half year trips. If you do, let us know I may be able to help provision/supply and gear ya up...
Loved watching this. Iâve spent a lot of time kayaking the Inner Hebrides, thereâs few places as beautiful when the weather is nice. Also that pub that overlooks the quarry at Easdale (I canât spell the other name) is a beautiful location for a mid trip coffee and cake before heading round to the Atlantic bridge. Also the sunsets over the islands on a clear sky are unreal, the sea looks like itâs on fire
Just love your videos so entertaining to watch, itâs better than Netflix donât even notice the time going by đ definitely just inspire people to get out đ thanks for sharing
Thanks much , we visited this area recently so was a little highlight of our trip ,oh we were there , those castles are some of the best ive seen how you can get right to top is ace , good stuff , you do Scotland proud like x
Sarah's got a new video! The wait was worth it!
Falling in love with your videos, very inspiring thank you
That was so great. Thanks, Sarah. đđđŽó §ó ąó łó Łó Žó ż
Absolutely bloody brilliant đ canât wait for the next one, camels indeed, clearly a field of free range woolly bananas and, a little more clarity before mentioning beavers, I nearly fell off my turbo trainer! đ€Ł
Great video again beautiful scenery thanks for sharing.
Great to see you again. They were alpacas they originate from the South Americas.
You sure theyâre not humpless camels? Special Scottish ones đ
@@FitforAdventure yes i had a herd of them.all the best. Xx
Another inspiring video.
Another great video. Perfect mix of scenery, sunsets, information and Humour! More More More đ€Ł
Great video, you are my kind of girl, you have some amazing adventures, look forward to the next one đ
You give us so much positivity đ
Great video and fantastic views Sarah. Iâm also hopeless at front crawl. My breaths tend to be 50/50 water to air mix. Not a good combination. Keep up the excellent content.
Brilliant video as always. You need to watch your paddle boarding off the coast in that area, that's where the massive whirlpool is and the ocean turns into a water fall between a couple of the islands. Worth a visit but do it in a powerful boat. I grew up near Kilmartin and used to love playing in Carnasserie Castle and around the cairns, I kinda feel you might have seen more of Argyll than me now though đ€Ł that camp spot before day 5 on Gighia was amazing just wish you could guarantee the clear skies you got. Cheers for sharing this one
So funny and great video. I loved dancing in the midgeshite, and oh have I pressed record? can you hear bagpipes? So thanks for sharing your adventures it was a good way to spend the last hour watching this.
Great looking trip. The sonder Camino is a great bike. I have the Planet X tempest Ti, but I wouldâve bought the Camino if there was stock.
I am off next week on a 5 day bikecamping trip around Normandy next week so this just got me more excited
Wow what a brilliant adventure,
What a stunning place!
I just found your channel so another subscription for you. I enjoyed what I saw. That train should be the model of every service.
great video as always. The bit from the Carnaisse castle was very videogame-ish which made me laugh XD
I went to Ecole Nouvelle, Lausanne Switzerland in the 1960's and spent many hours at Chateau de Chillon playing/exploring.
Good to see you back on the small screen Sarah. Cracking trip! I know there's loads of tubeless sealants out there, I tried Stan's normal stuff - which didn't work for me. However, I found the Silca Sealant very good (the floaty bits are larger). It does come with it's own problem though, as you have to pull the tyre off the bead and pour it into the tyre (it blocks the valve if you try to put it in through the valve). I think the Stans Race Formula is similar. Good luck.
Sarah you are mad silly amazing and beautiful all jumbled together. You are true to your heart and doing what you love. Your rollercoaster life has many ups and downs. Take care x
Your blogs are just Awesome thank youđđđđđđ
Brilliant and I live here, well done đ
great video sarah, great fun.
Thank you!
Brilliant! Love seeing bits of my home country I haven't had the chance to visit yet! Made me jealous đ€Ł class video!
đ if I make a Scot jealous of Scotland then I must be doing something right đ
@@FitforAdventure definitely đ€Ł
Awesome đđđđđ
Ah Gigha the place where they do there own Cheese and I went to try and see some wild Otters but never seen any! Also Paul Newman the actor was on the Ferry going across. Happy memories, was a while back like about 2000
