I am so done with these fake stories that are supposed to take place in the U.S. They are written by either middle schoolers or people who have never even come close to going to college. Throughout reddit the Ops talk about applying to college AFTER graduating from high school and then trying to get scholarships over the summer.
That is not how it is ANYWHERE! College applications are sent in at the beginning of senior year and usually the SAT and whatever other admittance tests are taken at the end of junior year, since the scores are sent in with the applications. Early entrance acceptances might get notified around December, but during spring is when all the colleges send out acceptances or rejections, and scholarship applications can be sent in starting in junior year..
This Op talks about applying at the end of senior year, as do most of these stories, and it is very annoying.

Look guys here is a general rule , if a story like this is pretty flat when it comes to characterising the people in it it's probably because they don't exist and the op doesn't mention anything specific about any of them or their behavior and just uses pretty general descriptions of how shes treated , its almost like shes here to tell a sad story rather than telling real life events that is happening to her
