  • I did lose a run to a game crash, but it's a known issue that will be fixed next week. Overall this is the most promising state EU4 has been in in over a year, and I am very excited to go back to playing on the latest patch again.

    One thing I noticed was Ulster just immediately beating the tar out of Scotland as well as Brittany having a really strong game until in both cases, England went "nah." and put an end to that.

    Historically, Aq Qoyunlu was the nation that did form Persia. They spedrun it and 'formed' it in the early 1500s, iirc.

    • @deltfrefry7218
      @deltfrefry7218 Před 2 lety

      It has a lot to do with how the ai handles the reformation. Other then Italy it does make sense that those regions don’t follow the Catholic Church any more. But for some reason the ai does not like to convert religions even though their entire country is Protestant. Because the HRE is full of Protestants during the Reformation, (most of the time) but because no one leaves the Catholic Church they eventually get converted back. It’s weird but I would say it’s working as intended. It’s just the ai being. That’s my theory at least

    Yeah, it includes a bunch of bugs fixed, but introduced major one for all - 8 times more AE for PUing nations, which has ruined a lot of missionary tries (tried as Brandenburg hoping to PU Bohemia - 125 AE). Now playing as Muscovy, but even in this play Austria suicided itself by PUing Hungary and getting all HRE + some other nations in a coalition. Kinda sad...

    • @daltonmiller5590
      @daltonmiller5590 Před 2 lety +4

      Y'all, stop spreading misinformation. Paradox already admitted that PU AE was broken. It's supposed to exist, but it's supposed to be much smaller. This egregiously high amount of AE we're getting is an oversight bug.
      They actually already released a patch: 1.32.1 which you have to opt-into manually through Steam. They released it the day after Origins came out as a response to the bug complaints. It fixes PU AE, and a plethora of smaller bugs too.
      Now, Paradox _did_ say they planned to increase AE from PUs (which is why this bug occured; they went too far), but they did not mean to increase it this much. So now it is lowered, this time to a sensible level, and you can PU without getting a coalition. However, you will still gain some AE. Which I think is fair and makes sense.

I thought it was missing "0" there, but apparently it is not...

    So
    -they didn't fix america, random tipees have more dev than the greatest megapolises of europe
    -portugal and colonisation is still unbelievably broken and unplayable (protugal gets 250 settlers increase with 4 or 5 colonists, that's ~ 1100 settlers increase, france/england/anyone wanting to make colonies struggles to get over 150 total, and is forced to start after portugal)
    -but hey now they made wakanda real so the indians don't have to feel alone in their floating cities and flying cars anymore
    great, I really love the entire world being puke green every single game and africa/north america (historically the lowest developpement on the planet) being stronger than the rest of the world

      they have somehow reached a level where south and central americans, that historically were settled civilisations with huge cities made of stone, complex governements and large armies, much weaker than the north american nomadic tribes
      the mighty Aztec Empire has an army 5 times weaker than your average bison hunting tribe in every single game, this is like the Roman Empire being defeated by georgia
