    Thank you! Glad to hear I'm taking a decent prenatal. It's called PureNatal by Pure Synergy and it's a whole food multivitamin made with organic fruits and veggies. It has Iron & Copper, folate as L-5-MTHF but a small amount of folic acid as well. It also has vitamin A as beta carotene, but overall seems like I have a good one. Gotta be better than the Dr. prescribed prenatal I took with my first pregnancy. Idk why I ever took it, I was young and dumb and I'm sure it was completely synthetic ingredients. My son is 6 now and has severe ADHD. I'm praying this one will not be.

      Congrats on the second baby; hope everything is going well! We had a second baby since making this video; kids are just the best! At some point, you may want to go through the GAPS protocol for your son to help with the ADHD. Often ADHD can be mitigated or healed when gut health is restored. www.gapsdiet.com We’ll be praying for a healthy delivery!

    • @DennisfromScratch

      Food.
      I’m actually serious. If you want to take a capsulated multi-vitamin supplement to make you feel better, there are some that won’t hurt you; but nothing can replace good quality food for health. So I strongly recommend relying on nutritious food to supply your nutrition. I talk more about this idea in this video: czcams.com/video/zqQpEAmYXmU/video.html

    • @DennisfromScratch
      @DennisfromScratch  Před rokem +1

      After reading the nutrition facts, it looks like it might be alright. It does have a few additives that could cause irritation, but no extremely harsh chemicals. Also, my wife found that high B12 and magnesium were helpful, and this product is a little low on those. I also see that the Vitamin A levels are a little low and might be difficult to absorb in that form. Vitamin A is particularly important to get in the animal form, which is easiest to get as a supplement like desiccated liver: radiantlifecatalog.com/desiccated-liver/

    • @DennisfromScratch

      As long as the liver supplement is not defatted, it should be about the same as consuming fresh liver. The brands that we mentioned in the other video are not defatted so those are good!

      I have a few issues with this prenatal. To start it has a lot of processed sugars hidden as "vegetable glycerin", it has chemical preservatives that when combined with the vitamin C can become toxic and harmful, the vitamin levels are extremely low and for the most part not in forms that can be absorbed easily.
      Overall I definitely would not recommend this product.

    Too much Vitamin A in retinol form can cause birth defects thats why you rarely see it in prenatals. Vitamin A in the form of Betacarotene is better because your body will convert it to Vitamin A that your body needs and eliminate the excess.

      @DennisfromScratch  Před 3 lety +4

      Thankfully, that’s inaccurate. I touched upon this briefly in the video, but for more information I highly recommend this article: www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/abcs-of-nutrition/vitamin-a-the-scarlet-nutrient/

      Accutane does not contain retinol in its natural form. Accutane and other drugs contain retinoid and other synthetics forms of true vitamin A. It is these lab-created, synthetic forms that have been shown to cause birth defects.
