Man this is the best medium/heavy euro I've played since great western trail. Me and my group have been in love with It for months. So surprised the rest of the euro loving community haven't been freaking out over it like I expected they would.
I think it might be just due to how widespread the release has been. I don't know that many copies have been available until just now.
The church track is reminiscent of the emperor track in Gigli/Luciano's "Grand Austria Hotel", except being a continuing effect instead of a one-off penalty/reward. Some of the iconography also seems to come from there.
Still need to try that one. Group's been mixed on it, so it doesn't come out. They all seem to like this one better... I think.
Dude you still haven't played Grand Austria?
I have not played a 4 player game but 2 and 3 have been insanely fun. Definitely glad I picked this up. These designers are on my must watchlist from now on. Grand Austria Hotel and Lorenzo have been some great times.
So would you buy if only going to be a 2 player game? I feel other reviewers weren't as keen on the 2 player experience. My wife and I love grand Austria hotel so I am really hoping...
Hmmm... What did rahdo think of it 2 player? I would defer to him in that space. I wouldn't listen to anyone else :p I really enjoyed it with 2 though.
Steven Bonham it's not great with two... Grand Austria is much better with two!

Lorenzo has hit my table more than Yokohama. Yokohama is a fantastic game but Lorenzo just hits all the right spots for me right now.
Ya it wasn't definitely an "automatic" call, but Yoko does enough different from most games I've played recently, that I gave it the nod.
Drive Thru Review oh yeah Yokohama definitely does some different things and does them really well. Lorenzo is hitting that engine building itch I like right now. Especially in a 2 player game you feel really smart when you get those combos going.
Damn I'm saddened that I missed your vid on this. Just played first game of this 4p tonight and we missed quite a few rules which normally doesn't happen, altough no one had played the game before. The rulebook felt really horrendeous tbh. There were quite a few questions unanswered and also some of the cards and board symbols etc. could easily be made more clear. :/
