Genial !!!
Bummer have to wait until September to get the vinyl I ordered though.
Sure.
Thank you X. Hope to see you soon. Nothin but love from Central California 🔥❤🔥
COMPLETE... and not as insane anymore... just normal... the new old.
Stoked! Forty years ago, X got me through high school and now theyʻre getting me through middle age and a pandemic. Rock on!
Hell yeah! X fan since 1977 LA.
Love X long time ❤
Class of 1982 here..... Dancing with Tears in my eyes. But still here.
I'm glad they did this. This is the great 'lost' X album that I'd always hoped the band would make over the last 2+ decades. And it couldn't have come at a better time.
"I gotta fever"....and the only cure is more cowbell. I remember when this song was called 'Heater'. Can't wait to see X!
This album fucking rocks. And people say Rock n Roll is dead.
I was nervous before listening to this, as many bands who come back with a new album after literally decades away from the scene kind of falter on quality.
But this album kicks fucking ass. X is still my favorite American punk band.
This is unexpectedly excellent. In a world gone mad, this is really great to have.
I discovered X as a late 70s Skate Punk their music still turns me into that teenage radical!
Wow this is good! Unapologetically non-nostalgic, just still kicking it out, chaos meets energy meets technical perfection, great song-writing as always, as well. Thanks gang, we love you.
Subbed, 66 and skating my half pipes here in so Mexico, thanks for this!
X was the soundtrack of my youth. Feeling nostalgic today, I searched for “Wild Gift” then to “Los Angeles” and up the ladder to this...and I am mind blown!
right? Its amazing!
I had the great fortune to record X's first album Los Angeles a very long time ago. It great to see this band is still intact and making great relevant music. You still kick some great ass!
Are you referring to the Dangerhouse stuff? We (Benedict Arnold & The Traitors) knew the band cuz Top Jimmy was present at our first session as a band, and the next day, he was on the air with Rodney Bingenheimer on KROQ, with Exene and John Doe, promoting our first day of existence. After that, when we gave Rodney our records, he played them. Also, did/do you know Pat (bass player) of The Deadbeats (Geza X band)? He owes me a lot of money.
@@freshwidow That was a long time ago. I do remember Top Jimmy very well. He was a friend of Billy's and I think we may have recorded him as well. We did the Los Angeles album at Golden Sound, my first studio. Very exciting sessions because X was taking punk to a whole level. Cool times!
@@rickperrotta You engineered one of my favorite albums of all time! So, like, thanks :)
@@freshwidow Geza x did great production for Dead Kennedys. Is he still around?
Saw X live, the stage lights were messing with the bass Amp, so they cut all the stage lights and played the whole set with clamp lights like you would work on a car with behind them, so awesome, so pure, no bullshit needed. One of my favorite concerts ever.
ANOTHER SHREADIN BATCH OF TUNES - X Style........ immortal band in my view, music to SKATE TO and I'm 57!
Have Not Stopped Playing This Rockin' Piece of Work ! We Are All in 'Alphabetland' .....!!!! With. X !!!! YES. A+++++ !
welcome Back X!
Every album by these guys is GREAT! 40 years from the start and they still ROCK!!!
What we all needed
I was fortunate to see the band here in SoCal a few months ago and they were in spectacular form; Billy was healthy and their energy level was as high as the mid 80s. I am so thrilled they recorded this great new material during that swing by! The best news.....
Just as great 40+ years on. xx
A pandemic release and everyone is STOKED! thank you billy, john, exene and Dj.
I bought the album because they can't tour behind this album -- at least for a while. Do you have $10? I said yes because I did.
Elmo Blatch
Haha.
I said yes because I did.
It was better before they voted for what's his name.
Honest to goodness...
the bars weren't open this morning
So great. I'm 73 yo in lockeddown Cuenca Ecuador and my exercise routine just got fun again. Thanks.
It's got a great beat and you can dance to it. Seriously, I love Alphabetland -- it has a real 'live in the studio' sound. Their "Live in Los Angeles" from 2005 is also great. Lots of love to X, one of my favorites.
I'm from Montgomery..X mentions Alabama more than once
Yes. Now come to Tucson. Pleeeez
Wow..........just as good if not better than back in the day.
Saw X in Austin tx, 82 maybe 83. Still one of my favorites.
see how we are is one of my all time favorite albums andit is SO good to hear them back and still great.
My heart is poundin' and my ears are ringin'! This is the best thing that has happened in a long time - thanks for sharing. X is one of my all-time favourite bands (I still keep the setlist I took off the stage at the end of the El Mocambo show in my guitar case) Love you guys!
G.R.E.A.T. B.A.N.D.
Great album. Used to listen to x all the time searching the coasts for tube rides in my Volkswagen Scirocco. Nice to hear new stuff. It totally rocks. Excellent pre-surf session music.
This sounds a lot closer to the Los Angeles and Wild Gift albums than anything else they did, and those were their two best albums. Saw them in 1983 on the More Fun in the New World Tour opening for Oingo Boingo at Irvine Meadows, and last night (8-14-2022) at the Pacific Amphitheatre at the Orange County Fair Grounds.
Water & Wine sounds fresh!
XOXO-X
thanks
I have always loved X but thought they didn't give us enough. Just the day after this thought I found out about this new album. Oh the joy to hear new stuff from one of the greatest bands ever. Sounds great!
You are one of those few bands that can put out an album after so long recording pause and actually get me interested. Usually those albums are disasters but this one is just as good as your classics. Thanks for this awesome piece of music. You guys are something special.
That little guitar hook in the verse on I Gotta Fever reminds me a little bit of Little Honey which was the only song I liked on Ain't Love Grand, but I LOVED that song!!
I fell ass-backwards into this album. I didn't know X put out an album! I just wanted to hear Los Angeles on CZcams. Awww shit, this is great!
Best release of 2020
THANK YOU KARMA for this band!
Great to hear X
I love this album more each time I listen(a lot). Thank you, X -this is why I’ve been a fan since ‘80! John, thank you for signing my copy of More Fun in the World!
More Fun in the New World, I mean.
Just found out hrs ago this album was out. Man it was such a joy when Exene started singing on the first track
She totally wails on water and wine!!!
Love this stuff!!!
God bless X
This is Amazing!!! It's like I just got out of a Time Machine, back to 1982. They haven't Lost Their Magic Touch, in Fact, They're even BETTER than They were 40 Years ago.
Still great! Might be their best song yet. It's relentless.
Thanks man. I was gonna move to Alabama, but I got more weed instead.
Thanks for the heads up.
Thank you folks for everything. By folks I mean everyone involved in making this. You help make the world a better place. I am in your debt.
"All the time in the World" is a perfect bedtime story for quarantine. Thanks!
And "Goodbye Year, Goodbye" is the perfect song for this year's New Year's Eve.
This is fucking great. Delta 88 Nightmare is incredible. Love X!
Lyrically and musically on par with their best-really great. Will definitely pick up the vinyl.
X is cool.
Thanks for this (Wild) pandemic gift!!! Sounds great on the first listen, but, I am sure it gets better the more you listen.
Thank you X.
Awesome! You guys rock! Feels like I'm back in 1979 again! 🎱 ❎
This album R O C K S !
Made my whole summer.
Thank you.
Please come to Buffalo, land of the "have nots".
Bowing!
Love this y'all. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hopefully this virus shit will subside enough to see you once again. Always a great night out when you roll into town.
Happy you got the old band back together. These new songs are brilliant. Love the horns.
First cut chorus sounds like the wanna sniff some glue chorus by the RAMONES.
X is its own alphabet, however.
im a bit slow and missed this as I was being slammed by covid times, thanks for making my tardiness worth it. wish I could see you live again, but I guess that happens in the afterlife..
Best album of 2020 😍
thank you for sharing the album, second time in a row since I woke up, sounds great at full volume
I am an X head forever :)

GREAT !!!
I love this...they did not miss a beat!!! Thank you Fat P and X!!!! Love it!
What a fantastic piece of work. Absolutely awesome. Love Cyrano deBerger's Back. Does anyone else get a Tenth Avenue Freeze Out vibe from that song? So cool.
The sax 4 sure-
beautiful! great lyrics, danceworthy music!...and a great Exene poem to finish
Would have fit right in with those fabulous first 4 albums.
I cannot possibly say enough positive things about this album and still do anything else. Thanking you so much !
This brings back great memories ! It's fantastic. 🎸 rules. 😎
I have not heard this album but it impressing me
Thanx X!
Glad I fund this today while checking to see if y'all were going to have a tour lined up later this year... hope to see you again in Cap City... Sactown. Glad the band is still alive and producing good vibes to the world.
Hey there, I live in Sacramento too! Got to see the band at Harlow's years ago and back in the Eighties at Freeborn Hall (U.C. Davis). So glad to see they're still going at it!
Soooooo good! 😀🔥
retour inespéré de ce groupe dans toute sa superbe !

Muito bom. Greetings from Brazil!
I’ve loved X my whole life since I was boy
Awesome like the old records, one brazilian tour after corona virus pandemia please.
if an X fan visiting check out Billy Zoom Fan Club on Facebook. The man himself has been posting and interacting with members during this downtime. Its great. Lots of great posts and reading. Diverse subjects that are 100% Billy and X. And he says he will be participating as long as the downtime for X continues. Its great fun.
