Rita is not being a petty "baby mama" at all and he DOES deserve to be in prison.. He beat and raped her and continued to be a nuisance in her life, who cares if he didn't do the drugs? He's getting time that he deserves one way or another lol. Like another comment said, she is being nicer than I would be to my rapist and way nicer than he deserves.
And I think if she knew Dexter is a serial killer, she would have enough common sense to stay away from him and maybe even report him, but as far as she knows he is just an addict; which is far better than being an addict, rapist, and a wife beater. 🤷♀

To your point about how Rita's ex didn't deserve to be in jail: I mean, remember when he essentially broke into her house and assaulted her? And she hit him in defense, but the law saw HER as being the aggressor? Because, when it became clear he was gonna force his way in, she let him in so she could handle it in her terms, but the law didn't possess the ability to see that nuance?
I'm not really on his side, I'm not really gonna lose sleep over him "not deserving to be in jail" because... yeah, he kinda does.
(Obviously in real life things are a lot messier, but it's a show about a serial killer; I don't view it entirely through the eyes of what would be okay in real life.)
Exactly. He didn´t do the drugs but he should´ve been in jail for the attack. Besides, Paul is dead now. She´s not gonna hurt Dexter for putting her highly abusive ex where he belongs ilegally when it wouldn´t even help Paul anymore and if the system had worked properly, Paul would´ve been in jail anyway..

Paul repeatedly raped and beat Rita. This is explained in season one as the reason Rita isn't into sex. It's why she and Dexter worked so well. Rita should never have to be around him ever again and I can understand her not helping him get out of jail. As far as the kids go I suppose supervised visitation (heavy on the supervision) would be okay. I just don't have any sympathy for Paul.
Yeah I was saying he didnt deserve to die because dexter put him in that situation! He should be in jail for gaping and way he did her you are right !
Im sorry but the Rita shade is a little ridiculous. Why did Rita hit him over the head with a bat? Not only was he not charged for attempted R***, but he pressed charges on her for defending herself. Paul deserved to be in prison no doubt.

He did his time. She is 100% wrong and is the reason he died. Her pettiness caused his death.
@@ReymundoCortez just because someone did their time doesn’t mean you have to forgive or stop being petty. They don’t get to force you to forgive them or decide how “petty” you can be. You get to react how you want to react. She didn’t feel like letting it go. That’s her right.
@@Swttng780 she still has to follow the law and she 100% broke the law. She is 100% responsible for his death. And yes she could easily be put in prison for it. Big difference in being petty and breaking the law by hiding evidence that caused the death of someone. And he was literally innocent, he was in prison for something he did not do but was in there because he was set up by the boyfriend and his ex that hide the evidence.
@@kerrim1000 yeah there is this funny thing called the law and one more thing, he his rights. He did his time dude was an aholle but she lived. She aided in his death. She literally broke the law and would definitely go to prison for what she did. If you really want to compare which is worse one helped kill the other so they both are horrible people.

A toupee hair piece is when it is just the top protion of the head that it covers, where as a wig covers all the area of the head that should have hair.
Well, I watched Dexter a while ago, but second season was pretty intense. Only regret - when I was watching it - next seasons were already out, so I kind of knew that Dexter will "get away" somehow, but still got chills thinking how close he was to getting caught. There are moments here and there over the series where he is almost getting caught, but second season was the most intense IMO.
As if I didnt have enough reasons to tune in :) ty for the updates...you're lookin stunning as always...not tryin to be weird, jus sayin :)

In Dexters and Brian's situation, it would be VITAL to separate them asap, as cold as this is, this is important to prevent any and all memory of that ghastly event. In all foster/abusive family situations, I'm sure that it's standard procedure to separate all children from their siblings, whether you think this is moral or not, in the Moser brothers situation I think it's absolutely essential that they both forget. But what happened to Brian was just typical government idiocy, he should have been put in as loving family as possible. Buuut if you've seen the whole series you'd know that's a moot point.

1 - Re: Rita and Dex "They've only been together for a few months"
No, they'd been together for several months *at the start* of season 1. I think maybe they even said a year? (I'm not gonna go back and look, but I believe it was around a year.) Then it sounds like it was 2 months between season 1 and season 2.
2 - 25:40ish - you say they didn't spend much time on Dex's bodies in ep 2. They spent *enough* time on Dex's bodies; I know they did this in season 5 also, not sure if it's in other seasons (5 is by far my favorite so I'm very familiar with it) but that's a pretty elegant way of handling things, I think: they spend the first 2 episodes or so introducing the new season's main conflict, but more time is spent on wrapping up the fallout from the previous season. I think that's great, it creates a consistency of story between seasons 1 and 2 (and 4 and 5) so that they don't feel like 2 separate stories.
And there just isn't enough time at the end of a season to wrap it up AND deal with the fallout. The end of the season - at least, the very good ones - just speed up and up to a breakneck pace, ramping up tension before hitting the climax... I guess I wouldn't mind a 9th episode to deal with fallout before the new season, but of course when it was airing, you'd want to get viewers to be compelled to watch the next season so you don't want to give the season a completely satisfying ending. Not until the final season, at least.
They introduce Lundy and give us just enough to pique our interest, just enough to let us know he's formidable. But they put it on the backburner so we can deal with Dexter's emotional conflict. And once that gets wrapped up (you know this by now, so I don't need to say this, but... whatever, giving my thoughts as if you were going ep by ep), then they can pick up the Bay Harbor Butcher/Lundy threads and start to really run with it.
Seriously, the writing in this show is *so fucking good*. (Mostly. There's some things you can nitpick, for sure... but I'd say big picture, Dexter season 1 through season 5 is among the best in television history.)
3 - Also, Deb *did* take a break. She took off 2 months in between season 1 and season 2, she's only now back to work.

Deb is one of the worst examples of a cop in any series. Imagine if cops were actually like her.
I hate the way people treat Dexter. He lets everyone he considers a friend or cares about take advantage of him. Rital tells him what he needs to do to prove himself to her and her kids 😂😂 like what get the hell out of here with that. She has so much baggage its a miracle any guy got with her and she needs to realize that. Then Deb is just forever using him. He needs to tell Rita to back off he doesn't need to prove anything to her ot her kids and needs to tell her sister to get out and let her do her own work.
Finally someone else see Rita for how wrong she is. She cant accept the fact she is responsible for his death period. She plays innocent and the victim but she herself is a ruthless killer.
Maria isn't playing get back. She's literally playing on her emotions. Using her anxiety against her. Type of games most girls play on each other tbh.
