Gellenduo isn't optional or once per turn, so if say... You get it on your opponent's field with it's effect negated, it still activates but doesn't resolve where it would destroy itself upon damage being taken. This prompts red eyes to cause damage, which makes Gellen activate, triggering red eyes, so red eyes just keeps on burning
How to fix Agave Dragon: set it's base ATK to 3200, make the burn 500LP for each dragon, make the ATP gain 500 for each dinosaur, make the ATP loss 500 for each Sea Serpent, and change the Wyrm effect from gaining LP to excavating X cards for Wyrms, then adding one of them to your hand and shuffling the rest.
For Trickstar Delfiendium, it actually counts Trickstar 'cards' that are banished, not just monsters. So you could recur banished copies of Trickstar Reincarnation. Which is like the only way I can see people using that effect at all. Still too much setup needed for it though. For Baba Barber, the only use that comes to my mind, is banishing your Fortune Fairy Light to trigger her effect.
Trickstar Delfindium was actually a good monster to make in Link Star burn decks. She was another trickstar extra deck monster to make under Holly Angel for her burn effect and another name in the grave for Belladonna
Baba Barber has some niche interactions like banishing E-HERO Absolute Zero to board nuke (TheDuelLogs did a video on this iirc), but otherwise, yeah, she's terrible. Great artwork though, kinda gives me some Ayami Kojima vibes in terms of artstyle.
Honestly, Baba Barber reminds me of a lot of MTG cards, except that in MTG a) there are better options that let you get the monster back immediately and b) those cards are only used in decks revolving around cards that do broken things when they come into play and don't particularly care how they got into play. Kinda feels like someone at Konami looked at MTG and said"hey, that effect is popular and played often! Lets put it in Yu-Gi-Oh!".
Glad to see you are alright, my biggest wish is to see Pendulum Ritual monsters become a thing, that's a concept that I came up with Ritual pendulum hybrid monsters whose ritual spell is their pendulum effect that ritual summons them from the hand or from the pendulum scale to the field.
Baba Barber is ran in Valkyries as a way to run tech monsters that aren't Valkyries. Mischief of the Time Godess needs you to only control Valkyries so you can link off the non-Valkyrie stuff into Barber, which will clear itself off, leaving the field with only Valkyries.
for the archfiend, I think you can't even use on DDDs, bc they take damage, they don't pay LP. I unironically run it in Abyss Actor, bc Madonna pays LP
Actually, back when the link era first started, up until the release of electrumite, he was the *only* link 2 monster D/Ds could make. He was basically just a vanilla in the deck... unless you wanted to take risk a 66% chance of losing a grave combo piece.

Actually Delfiendium returns banished Trickstar CARDS, not just monsters. So you can use this to get banished Reincarnations back. Delfiendium is my favorite Trickstar link, and it's actually won me more games than you might think. It really came in clutch in my Trickstar vs Battlewasp duel (I think that's the right one, I believe it's day 2 of Trickstar) on my channel. *edit* oof and Dave hating on my favorite Gouki link too (Solid is my favorite lol). You would actually be surprised how many times I win a duel where I summon it because my opponent doesn't read the card

The only use I've found for it is in Fortune Ladies to use the effect of Fortune Lady Light during either player's turn so you can... I dunno. Draw two cards? Blow up a monster the opponent controls? I'm not entirely sure.
masterking archfiend can dump archfiend heiress, and she searches the whole archfiend cards. The dice roll eff is Optional you can skip it if you want.
He's still pretty crap though. If only his mill effect was based on a range of Attk/Def values, instead of exactly the amount you paid. Would make him much better.
I mean, you could summon baba barber to your right link zone and banish your opponents link monster to the left of baba barber, unless theres some rule im missing that states you cant interact with an opponents link monster in that manner, but i doubt that. Also it does say EACH battle Phase, which means you could possible activate it on your opponents battle face? But there are very few reasons why you'd wanna do any of that.
It is criminal that Traffic Ghost did not make this list. It's a link 3 that requires 3 monsters to make for an 1800 body vanilla. At least all it's arrows point downward. Most of the cards on that list are way more playable than Traffic Ghost. 🤦
I'm honestly surprised that Clara & Rushka, the Ventriliduo didn't top the list. I have still never heard of an actual use for that card that isn't far more convoluted than every other Link monster.
If Yugi had a link monster it would be Arcana Extra Joker. The thing is a link version of Arcana Knight Joker and it was probably meant to be summoned the same way minus the fusion. This things effect even sets another one up since you can Special Summon Queens Knight and add Kings Knight to the hand.
Glad you brought up all the terrible things about Duel Link dragon. i have an ocg copy only cause the art work is like an alt art of ultimaya tzolkein. but with mr5 you should probably just play tzolkein and not this since he brings out the synchro monster and not a token that has no effect.
Agave Dragon did saw a little play for a while to win in time or the red-eyes/gellenduo FTK. But what actually surprises me is Masterking Archfiend, that thing is absolutely disgusting in Danger Dark World. Its effect is not once per turn and triggers when a fiend is send to your grave in any way; use them to link summon, discard them, etc.
Sekhy Hybrid Nah. Ultimaya Tzolkin is the evil manga version of the Signer Dragon. Dule Link Dragon is the good, anime version of Signer Dragon. Therefore, as the laws of nature dictate: The manga was better/Evil will always win, because good is dumb.
The only use for Baba Barber I could think of would be for banishing one of your monsters hit by something line Effect Veiler to make sure it's effect returns at the end of the turn; however, I can't think of too many on-field or quick effect monsters that would be beneficial for in that case.
considering that she came out in the same set as a bunch of fortune lady stuff, i think she's meant to be a way to proc the effect of light while being easily accessible in the extra. though, i mean, she's still slow as shit so i don't know how much that matters
I think something that would have been interesting for higher link monsters would be if yiu use an extra deck monster, the materials attached to it for an XYZ, or used to summon it for like Fusion and Synchro, count as material towards the link, so if you had an XYZ with 2 material you could play that into a link 3. Idk how broken that would be though
I do truly wish when they made duel link dragon they were going to give it the anime effect they left off the synchro one where it gain the attack of all your synchros.
I feel somewhat obligated to bring up Linkerbell. Despite it not being released in the TCG proper as of yet, it is in Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, and its weird ability to be summoned only when you're either going second or otherwise losing, despite having no positive benefits over other monsters with similar arrows and ATK, makes it one of my go-tos for "why is this a thing". It's not even cute, it's just... kinda unsettling.

The Trickstar Link actually gets back Trickstar CARDS, not just monsters. So you're able to get back your banished Reincarnations. Still requires too much setup to be viable, but it's not AS terrible.
Barber can be used to Evenly Matched after you use a monster to bait interruption or to banish a monster with its effects negated so it comes back with its effects. Example, my opponent once used it and Necroid Synchro to summon a big Stardust boss monster against me :D
Baba Barber is one of those cards that keeps making me think they want to give cards "Enter the Battlefield" style effects and then they just....don't and stuff like it continues to just be worthless. Other than that all I could possibly think of for her is field management, or exploiting any card that has an effect of when it leaves the field due to any effect
On your best of synchro cards you should put dragocytos. He's the best level 10 in the game.he can destroy most decks by himself. If he gets on the field your opponent has two turns to live. Now, now, you can at least use formula synchron as a the "synchro monster" material for duel link dragon, and draw a card, mitigating that loss, and not losing a major card. That said, you could also use formula synchron to just summon a good synchro....
Baba Barber looks like it's meant to be used in a deck where your monsters activate effects when they're banished, like Shiranui or Thunder Dragons. Except those decks have far better ways of activating their effects than relying on a weaksauce 200 ATK Link 2 that only does it during the battle phase.
Masterking Archfiend would be neat if the 2-5 result just did nothing instead of actively making the card pointless. That way you can mill something and have a 1/3 chance to either Special Summon it or add it to your hand...
baba barber only use i can think of is getting rid of an opponent's monster in an EMZ. guess its an out to avarmax, assuming they went for the zone to your left rather than your right

I used Drumgon in an extremely janky FTK once just to summon off of Agarpain bc I was using the Oviraptor/Ib engine to make a 1 card Saryuja just to draw a bunch and didn’t really have a better thing for Agarpain to summon considering I was gonna make a Saryuja with it and didn’t need a negater anyways due to playing an Ftk. It was ok. But yeah, in all other scenarios it sucks ass

The first thing I thought when seeing Baba Barber was that Black Rose Field Spell, since banishing and returning is not summoning, so the monster has full attack. I guess, you could keep your boss monster big and strong?
I've seen baba barber being used in a weird absolute zero control deck that summons e hero absolute zero and uses cards that banish it until the end phase to trigger it over and over and baba barber was a clutch situation way of doing that
I renember using Bellcat as a part of a scapegoat accessline cause why not? 1 link spider and 1 bellcat can convert all the scapegoat tokens to most link 4s
Baba Barber (not saying it’s good) could be used for a cheesy stall type deck, or if you absolutely need a card for a strategy, you could ensure that it would be safe. Or, in a stall deck, it just makes it so the monster can’t be destroyed during your turn. Again, not saying it’s good, just the possibilities.
well while they have better options, Mekk knights love column control. but even then baba barber is not helpful whatsoever. they already banish themselves and bring themselves back.

One other thing about Agave Dragon, it's arrows are the same as Borreload's arrows and this is far from a suitable replacement for Borreload.

That makes link climbing a lot easier doesn't it? 2 monsters can become a link 3 as long as they combine into an XYZ first etc.

It relies on your opponent in a specific gamestate. If a card relies on your opponent, it is bad most of the time.

Baba Barber looks like it's meant to be used in a deck where your monsters activate effects when they're banished, like Shiranui or Thunder Dragons. Except those decks have far better ways of activating their effects than relying on a weaksauce 200 ATK Link 2 that only does it during the battle phase.

baba barber only use i can think of is getting rid of an opponent's monster in an EMZ. guess its an out to avarmax, assuming they went for the zone to your left rather than your right

You can use baba barber in thunder dragons. Not the greatest but you can get the odd janky combo off.
I used Drumgon in an extremely janky FTK once just to summon off of Agarpain bc I was using the Oviraptor/Ib engine to make a 1 card Saryuja just to draw a bunch and didn’t really have a better thing for Agarpain to summon considering I was gonna make a Saryuja with it and didn’t need a negater anyways due to playing an Ftk. It was ok. But yeah, in all other scenarios it sucks ass

The first thing I thought when seeing Baba Barber was that Black Rose Field Spell, since banishing and returning is not summoning, so the monster has full attack.

I've seen baba barber being used in a weird absolute zero control deck that summons e hero absolute zero and uses cards that banish it until the end phase to trigger it over and over and baba barber was a clutch situation way of doing that

Baba Barber (not saying it’s good) could be used for a cheesy stall type deck, or if you absolutely need a card for a strategy, you could ensure that it would be safe. Or, in a stall deck, it just makes it so the monster can’t be destroyed during your turn. Again, not saying it’s good, just the possibilities.
well while they have better options, Mekk knights love column control. but even then baba barber is not helpful whatsoever. they already banish themselves and bring themselves back.
