The Most Unknown Armory in Fallout: New Vegas

- Alright granted, this may be something more well known than the likes of the great Marked Corpse and the freakin Corn House, but I had played Fallout: New Vegas for like, 6 years before ever discovering this place.
As I've said that could very well be tied to me never pausing to really listen to all the game's dialogue, but hey younger Weegee wasn't that into earning the different political and cultural histories of Mojave's tribes and families, younger Weegee was more into exploding a Deathclaw with an exploding MEGA sniper rifle... older Weegee still loves to do that, but now I ALSO care about the histories! ^^ - Hry
The khan armory is such a good source for ammunition. I didn’t find it myself until a few years ago.
It’s weird but awesome that everytime I do another run I come across something I never knew about, like this massive game is bigger than I thought, it’s awesome! ^^
Then you find The Humble Cudgel in the sewers after a decade of playing and you no longer need guns just red mist and turbo
Same. I didn't discover it until last year and I have been playing this game since release. Probably because I generally avoided the great Khan Area for the most part other than a quest here and there. And the armory is relatively far from the fast travel point for Red Rock Canyon.
@@Jingles2423x Yeah I'd say it took me a while to discover the Khan armory because before I'd occasionally just wipe out the Khans at boulder city. That couple with the Armory's secluded location made it easy to miss. Now that I know the Khans are absolutely flushed with ammo, I go out of my way to make sure their group survives boulder city.
@@nothanks9503 I don’t think there’s a unique weapon less known than that, I mean all it is is a slightly better pipe bent a little in a location not many people know about as there’s no quests with it in a secret chamber, but that just makes it and the sewers cooler to me ^^
It's like they secretly update this game a teensy bit every so often because new stuff keeps getting found! (also this is the most exciting new vegas content I've seen in a while)
I'm honestly surprised so little people new about this. Ive been using the khan armory for about a year because im so damn thorough. Fallout 4 taught me that there's always supplies to be had, even in destroyed buildings, and i just kinda stumbled into it.
Came looking for copper, and i found gold.
@@bananajoe8412 Is because many people see the Great Khan's as a shore, when they tell you "you have access to our armory" the first thing you think is that is just a crate in a cave or something.
Haha are youse all kidding I’ve known about it since my first play through when I was 11
I am now 23 :/
I’m not having a dig at anyone I’m just genuinely surprised people didn’t know it existed until recent years
This is why I love this game and will till the day I die
That’s exactly what it’s like! :D
I’m really glad you think so because I plan to do more! ^^
@@bananajoe8412 I think the reason why not many people found it like me, is because people only see/pass the building once to go into Red Rock Canyon, and it’s a small cellar door faceing the entrance, meaning that the only way you could see it while passing through the entrance is leaving when most players fast travel ^^
They have the whole bakery of ammo
Heres another fact: The moon gets 2 centimeters away from earth every year
That could be an awesome nickname for this place, "The Wasteland's Bakery," or like, "The Mojave Bakery" ^^
Here's a fact of my own: most car horns honk in F key :D
When the moon reaches a stable no-loss orbit with Earth total lunar eclipses will no longer be possible because of the distance :D
@@alexis_electronic That’s pretty cool ^^
@@alexis_electronicdid you mean total solar eclipses? Because I would imagine total lunar eclipses would be more common since, if I’m thinking correctly, wouldn’t the earths shadow on the moon get larger?
I want to sex the moon how can I sex with the moon
You forgot the quartermaster at Hoover Dam, he has massive amounts of ammo
He is the real deal
I would say that the khan armory is still better because it can be accessed earlier. Do boulder city, and thats it. It should be open. Meanwhile you need either high ncr rep (which sucks to grind), or accepted plus a high speech check to get to get him to sell to you (i think).
where inside the dam? lol i have 500 hour this game and today i learned 2 new think!
edit inside
@@bananajoe8412 yeah you're exactly right
@@how_to_be_a_Old_legionary44 Shit heh you'll just have to explore really well or look up a video, the Dam is kinda a maze
My main strat for new characters is to immediately cut north to that area from Goodsprings, take out the cazadores with dynamite, and grind several levels on the bighorners. I've done this uhhh.... Hmmm... A dozen times?
*I had no idea that cellar door was there*
Skill issue
My main strat for new characters is to get to Vegas ASAP, break a few casinos by gambling (I'm addicted to high luch builds) and then get me some implants. But that pretty much requires a high luck build, maybe this strategy can help me break my addiction.
@@richardkenan2891 if you didn't already know, you can take a shovel to the hills north of Goodsprings (these are the hills I stand on while I throw dynamite at the cazadores) and dig up Chance's Knife, which already has a high bonus crit chance that a luck bonus would add to hugely.
It has a strength requirement of 3 and a melee weapons skill of 50, but if you have 50 sneak it counts as a holdout weapon you can take into casinos. Could be an option for an exciting melee/luck build, idk haha
Taking an early Explosives build to that stretch of road and to Primm Pass is so much fun. Vulpes who?
I love that when the Armorer asks if you're interested in buying anything, the Courier's response is, "Yes please."
Gotta remember to be polite when talking to the viking raiders-
@@Epic_Weegee You mean mongolian raiders. I mean "Khan", you know.
Also don't overlook the fact that the Great Khan Armorer has the best exchange rate of any merchant in FNV (according to wiki) at 1:1, meaning you get more caps per item selling to them than any other merchant. They also often carry some of the lower tier medium and heavy armors which if you have Jury Rigging allows you to fix up your fancy expensive armor on the cheap without having to find enemies with medium/heavy armor, which isn't particularly hard, but it's a nice little convenience.
The exchange rate is why I think she's the best merchant in the game. For almost all of my characters I've pretty much gotten loads of ammo early on. the easiest way to get accepted by the Great Khans is during Boulder City Showdown, either helping the khans or both factions with a speech of 45 or a minimum of 25 (magazine and Naughty Nightwear). She may not sell as much ammo as Bardon, but that's fixed by fast travelling away and waiting 3 days. Who needs Bardon now!
I had no idea this existed, and I thought I had been in every room in new vegas… thank you for sharing!!
I’m glad I could inform! ^^
Great Khans and the NCR quartermaster at the Dam. Both offer an immense amount of uncommon ammo, weapons and armour. I picked up a T-51B power armour at one point. My brother claimed he bought an remnant helmet
sorry to bring it to you, but your brother is full of shit (or using mods)
Unless your playing with mods on PC, the only place your gonna get T51b from a vendor is the Brotherhood vendor, though the khans vendor can sell T45, and the only way to get Remnants power armor is from Arcades quest, or finding the helm in Silver Peak Mine and the suit in Deathclaw Sanctuary.
@@ZHBraden13Wasn't there a remnant set in the vertibird crash site? I might be mistaken
@@Bigassboya No, though the Tesla-Beaton prototype cannon is there. I usually always go there in new playthroughs to grab it for an early heavy weapon.
I found this on my last playthrough where I was cutting straight to Vegas through Cazadore territory. I just killed the Khans there and looted the place. Didn't realize they had such a good vendor.
Lol, you either reloaded or ate through that play through like “wtf?”
*Buys every single round in her inventory*
Courier - "Here's 4 gold bars, keep the change "
They could buy, so much drugs from the followers, freeside, Kings, raiders, omertàs, and herbs from the legion.
Ive been playing new Vegas since its launch and i just learned this today
I love this game
I learned of this location not from the base game, or a video about it, but from the mod Fallout: Dust. That place becomes one of your selectable starting locations, and of course I'm gonna check out an armory first chance I get.
Never thought I'd say this, but thanks Dust.
I’ve always wanted to try Dust but never had the hardware to run it ^^”
Would recommend first chance you get something that can run it, it's rough but the effort put in is very visible, especially if you like finding lore scattered in places.
@@HeisBeppo Sounds perfect for me! ^^
I found it by accident and i didnt expect to find shop down there. But also they buy everything on full price which is so rare.
O snap they do?
I always just bought from them, that’s really neato! ^^
@@Epic_Weegee I usually keep everything what i find and when i saw that they buy everything on full price, i fully loaded my companions and me as well and bought most of ammo that they sell. Except rockets and other very expensive ammo.
Fun Fact:
I know about this location because in the 2018 build of NVMP, it was the only place to obtain a Thermic Lance.
(Quests used to reset on disconnect and a lotta NPCs used to be gone)
Doing Jack's dialogue teaching him drugs earns you enough rep to shop there, just need Science and Survival ≥50 I think and you can B-Line right over to him.
Khans armory is the reason I have never once not helped the Khans. I scratched their back a little and they gave me a full body massage.
I always use the Underground Hideout mode in my F:NV playthroughs, and one of my absolute favorite places to move the hideout entrance is *right* next to the Khan Armory. As an added bonus, the hideout means there's a fast-travel point right next to it, for ease of ammo-snagging. ;D
When I wasn't playing hardcore, I constantly became an idol of the khans and bought 10,000 rounds of ammunition for a 10-mm pistol.
You're creating great content, please keep it up!
Thank you! ^^
yo that video was dope. and just so happened to be exactly what i needed
I clicked on this video expecting to see a location I had been to before, but nope! Something completely new to me!
4000 nails is like, an ACTUAL commodity in the apocalypse like 4000 nails is enough to build several homes
Yea, like the destroyed home on top of the armory-
Awesome video style my man! Hilarious love to see it
Thanks!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! ^^
The demon core but there at the end was icing on the cake. Felt like an early 2000’s infomercial for a kids toy at the end there. I’m subscribed now 😭😂😂😂😂😂
The ''Demon core'' reference was brilliant
Actually entertaining CZcams video. I hope to see more videos and keep up the great work!
You got it! ^^
I love how the explanation swings from normal and informative and professional to completely unhinged
I’m glad I found out about it, just went there in-game and sold a bunch of weapons/armor and bought a ton of ammo. Another great thing is that they will pay you more caps than most stores for things you sell them.
Is that a fixed point system for everybody or if you’re liked/disliked by these factions you get a better/worse deposition? Cause Idr. I always had so much caps cheating I didn’t notice.
The great khans is my favorite because you get max price when selling them weapons, doesn’t matter how good, you get max caps
So like no matter what your barter level is everything can be sold at max price?
@@-__-__-__-__-0000 yeah, from what I have seen it works any barter level
I’ve put hundreds of hours into this game and never knew this existed lol
Surprised to see under 1k subs, great editing bro hope you find fame
Thank you so much ^^
Perfect video. I’m stuck looking for one of the ncr camps near the Great Khan HQ.
Glad there’s still things I’ve missed to discover
That was fun lol nice work, also the guy at mcarran has that much ammo if you don’t turn him in
Yeah, it’s probably the best ammo armory in the game. Helping out the Khans is practically a mandatory side quest in all my playthroughs. The NCR quartermaster in Hoover dam is also a pretty great ammo supplier
Discovering this armory was like finding a hidden stash of gold that, if you were in cahoots with the Mongolian biker gang, you could easily acquire in exchange for thin red paste and blood sausage.
Ah, I love you, Them's Good Eatin'
This is my favorite comment ever
I knew this was a place but not a vendor holy cow this is cool to still find a few new things about an old gem
I like to buy as much ammo from Sgt. Contreras at Camp McCarran as I can before turning him in to Lt. Boyd and getting This Machine as a reward
I always found the ncr quartermaster to have more ammo and easier to get access to but still a great video my man
Easy? Behind 4 loading screens?
Who cares about 4 loading screens if you only have to visit him for ammo a few times at most during your entire run
That’s true! I sometimes forget just how good he is with ammunition too! ^^
Now I have 3 places to go to stock up for some wasteland adventuring :D
@@mado-wh4jv you only have to go there 1 time after dead money to buy all his ammo. After that you don’t need to buy anymore for the rest of the game
I have one nasty tendency in video games, I get lost inside buildings.
So, Hoover dam is not the best place for me.
Quartermaster Bardon has usually around twice the amount of ammunition that the Great Khan weapon vendor has, I like to jump between them.
This might just be one of the cut content mods I have installed, but I was actually told about the armory by having good reputation with the khans (much like how you get rewards in freeside)
ah good to see people finding this armory over a decade later.
I went here after slaughtering the nearby camp of Khans, there was just a man and women, sitting and talking, staring into each other's eyes. Not aggro even though I just painted the canyons red with their friends, and I'm all the way vilified. I turned around and left them with each other, to live another day.
They probably didn’t see a difference in color, the canyon was kinda already painted red-
I gotta give it to you dude I've been playing Fallout New Vegas since it came out on the Xbox 360 in 2010 and I don't think I even know about this armory until I watched your video.
Although it doesn't matter since I killed the Great Khans so I don't have Good Rep with them to use them, but its nice to know about. I knew about the Gun runners and NCR Quartermaster at Hoover Dam.
Played this game for years and never knew this place even existed, learn something new every time you open the game.
The NCR Quartermaster was always my go to for ammo but I have also never heard of this before, I’m gonna have to go find this myself now 😂😂
Awesome video man, first one ive seen from you but wont be the last. If i could like a video twice, i would
That means a lot, thank you so much! ^^
Holy crud! I'm working the Great Khan missions and running low on ammo. Never thought to check that destroyed house out. Thank you!
I genuinely had no idea this existed and I have close to 400+ hours in the game… thank you so much. Also the demon core joke was pretty good ngl
I never knew about that one I learn something new all the time
Are you kidding me??? I’ve been playing this game forever, played multiple play throughs, AND IM STILL LEARNING NEW THINGS ABOUT IT
Its so hidden that great khan straight up telling you about it
Well that's something new. Great find man.
Thank you ^^
It felt amazing when I found it… especially because all of the ammo :D
I have gotten every achievement and played through countless times and I didn't know about this. Guess I gotta load it up again 😮
Quarter Master at Hoover Dam has thousands of rounds and the Quarter Master at Camp McCarren Airport does too.
I personally like the ncr specifically for 308. There's a guy that sells a bunch so long as you don't rat him out to the ncr. With all that 308 and the silenced sniper rifle from big mt, it's an easy way to obtain some serious fire power while also trying to keep stealth. Oh plus forgot to mention Boone can use the Gobi scout rifle from the snipers nest.. Which also happens to use 308... Just saying.
found that place at my fifth playthrough, total mind blower
i just found it yesterday in all the years i finally found it
I go to the Great Kahn armorer and the NCR quartermaster at the Hoover Dam to buy tons of ammo.
I didn’t know that place existed until
I spawned there when playing the Dust mod
Also don't forget about Quartermaster Bardon in the Hoover Dam Offices, same exact deal just NCR.
I found this about a year ago in my.... well I lost count of how many playthroughs. I couldnt believe it. I had to check and make sure I hadnt downloaded any mods.
Finding after so long really does make it look like a mod feature ^^
haha i thought you said vicious bitcoiners and i liked that better honestly. great video!
I found this whilst exploring the wasteland, raided it, executed the khans and left with the loot.
The Quartermaster at the Dam has even more
Obsidian left this secret gem for the TRUE Fallout fans.
I found it in My firsts playtrough while running from some cazadores, use to trade My looted guns after using jury rigging peek to sell them for more caps
Wait until my guy finds the NCR Armorer in Hoover Dam. Bullets for dayyyyyyyyyys
This deserves more views!
This already got WAAAAAY more views than I’m used too, it’s an amazingly high number already! ^^
I've been playing this game aince I was six years old now 19, and 12 years later at a home I passed hundreds of times has a secret I neglected to notice how wonderful
I was laughing throughout but that ending really got me! I just watched a documentary over thag scientist too lmao!
If you need thousands on 308 rounds, check on the armory in Camp McCarren
The best armory is in Hoover Dam, they have a whole lot of bullets. I always gotta have that reputation so I can feast on them bullets.
The amount I’ve played this game and now I’m learning about this 🤦🏼♂️🤯
Spring Mt. Ranch State Park is the closest fast travel location to the armory. Armory is a must if you want ammo for the Mercy grenade machine gun.
That is if the player can even obtain Mercy-
I remember the khans telling me about this place but never could find it. I always assumed it was at the other ruined houde
I love how the great khans normal soldier looks like Joakim from sabaton
Never knew this existed. Thanks.
I accidently stumbled upon it when i was doing the NCR questline cuz on my first playthrough i was looting every single building i come across, and now its my main source of the expensive kind of ammo (45-70, .308, .50 BMG, even rockets)
Beat the game numerous times, got all achievements and only learned about the armory because it was starting location in DUST mod
I discovered that on my first play through yeeeaaaars ago but never gave it much a thought till my third one where I checked it out and damn is it worth it when you have a barter above like 30 cause she will buy everything at max value and sell it at base value. Bring one bar of gold and get all that ammo for the price! She is bae
Damn I had no idea about this place, then again I think I did the Khan's whole questline a single time in my dozens of playthroughs. Kinda forget they're over there sometimes.
I remember finding this place back in the day. I was vilified by the khans then so I didn't realize it was a shop until yeaaars later when I ran through the game again lol
1,000+ hours of FNV and I now learn of this place? 😮
Good info, thanks!
There is also an ncr dealer at camp McCarran that has tons of ammo.
NCR's armory at the Hoover Dam is also very good.
If you needed ammo its either hoover dam, the khans or that one dude over at McCarren
Great demon Core Animation at the end lelll
I did a whoops-
Literally people who have played this 10 times can still miss this place the only way in game to know that this place even exists is a small piece of throwaway dialogue by a non unique npc who tells you were it is but the npc itself is so easy to miss especially if after you complete one of the few great khan quests you just fast travel away.
But yea a great place to buy rare ammo but i swear on my last playthrough the armourer bugged and didn't restock.
The great khans don’t tell you I forgot who told me they were a rocker guy kinda from the great khans idk if it was a boomers or someone by the strip but he even gives you the armory key if you happen to get to it type shi 😊
Yeah, whenver I need mass amounts of ammo I go to 3 places: Gun Runners, Great Khan Armory, and Brandon at Hoover.
With all that ammo, you might finally be able to beat the letter R
Buddy, there isn’t enough ammo in the entirety of fiction for me to be able to pronounce R’s-
Thanks for the vid, I know where I'm going next.
The Khan armory is a good place for guns and armor, but the BEST place for ammo is he NCR vendor inside hoover dam, sheesh, that guy sells a TON of ammo
2:09 the NCR when the great khans roll out the even fatter man
How have I never stumbled upon this and I have so many hours played
Been playing this game since release. At least 10 playthroughs. Never seen this.
I help the Kahn's in Boulder city just to gain access to that armory, best source of 12.7mm and every other hard to find ammo type in the game.
The NCR guy at the dam also has lots of ammo
Found this on my second playthrough
