- This is a PS5 Pro controller you might not have heard of. It’s got adjustable triggers, 4 mappable rear buttons, swappable thumbsticks and a modular design that lets you swap the buttons out. But how does the Victrix Pro BFG compare to the DualSense Edge and Scuf Reflex Pro?

I love how they include a fight pad
Such a great design idea
@@SpawnPoiint yeah it really is
I fight how they include a love pad
I love how your comment is meaningless
@@malcolmjelani3588 I love how the comment section is
Victrix remote owner here. One thing not mentioned that tops all other pro remotes is the battery life. I game a few hours per day and I go days without charging it. Battery life is amazing and I use this mainly for COD ranked play so adaptive triggers, vibration features, etc are irrelevant to me. This is the best controller I have ever owned 100% worth the money
Dude what about stick drift? Im over my normal ones wearing out in 3months with heavy use.
@@Wiiillllson151 I mean u can just switch the whole thing
@@theoverwhelmer Yeah I get that. Was more curious about the build quality.
I hated the size, it is significantly smaller than regular controller, and it feels cheap plastic
Trigger stops are very helpful in cod if you know what you’re talking about bro 😂😂😂😂
Great review, mate!!!
I have been using a ps5 controller for fighting games and the only thing holding that back is the stick drift that is sneaking in. I have been thinking about this controller for a while so this review helps making a decision
That “ps5 pro controller” is awesome love the shorts keep it up❤
The main reason why I was looking into this controller is because of the Xbox layout honestly. I love that layout over the PlayStation button layout. Thanks for the review!
I’ve been playing Helldivers on PS5 and you need to use the D Pad A LOT in that game and the DualSense is so hard to get to the D Pad while in combat. I try reaching across with my right hand but it just doesn’t work
@@RoyaltonDrummer922 is multi plateform
@SpawnPoiint dude, your videos are literally my favorite thing on the internet. Everytime you post something even if I don't care a tiny bit about it I still watch it in full. Thank you for doing what you're doing!
Wow, thanks! I appreciate the support.
Thanks, this helps alot. I was trying to decide between this or the Edge, I'll spend the extra and get the Edge
That fight pad module🤯🔥
Haha yep!
Great video mate. Does the position of the fight pad buttons cause strain to the hand if using normal instead of claw?
Idk what it is but i really love your videos. Your voice is real calming ❤.
Haha thank you.
Will be invest in one of these thanks 🙏🏾
Weird how I haven't seen or heard anything about this controller until now when it's an official controller. I bought the Edge controller a couple of months ago, and it would've been nice to at least have one more controller to evaluate at the time of purchase.
great review. i'm looking at this controller. however, the modular design concerns me. i had an Astro C40 modular controller for my PS4 and after about four or five months of use the L3 (push in left stick) stopped working so i had to remap one of the back buttons for it which using that way is a pain. have you changed out the modules or had any issues with that? or anyone else in here who has one in the comments?
strictly getting this for wireless fightpad. everything else just a bonus feature that i love. i can replace my old controller and if i want to play rocket league i can and when i wanna play SF6 i just swap to fight pad. i love the multi purpose. magnets instead of the screws wouldve been really clean. maybe in the future.
first time into this channel. very noice review and voice
Thanks and welcome
Awesome controller nice video 🙂👍
I love the dual sense edge but would love 4 paddles. Was literally looking at this controller. Many thanks
They really missed a trick with two extra buttons, no idea why either?
@@HotdogStephen yeah especially with the scuf ps5 having 4 paddles.
Yo man awesome video. Btw would you be kind enough to share the dimensions of your table, it really looks clean and awesome! Thanks
Do you have the razer wolverine ps5 controller or plan to review it in the future? :)
Ps5 pro Controller
Thanks for this, been thinking of getting a pro controller for a while now and this might be it
Definitely interested in this controller, would precision rings and kontrolfreek grips work with this?
Can you swap the modules so that the thumbsticks are positioned the same as a wii u pro conyroller?
Can you swap the face buttons and place it on the left side and put the d-pad on the right side?
The reason I’m going to buy the BFG is that I’m 6’4” and 235lb and have huge hands. I’m also a “clencher” so when I get a bit panicked I squeeze way too hard and my skill is average at best so that happens regularly.
I believe I’ve had every brand of pro controller for my XSX and none of them lasted longer than 6 months.
The best was Power A while the 2 very worst were my Razor which shattered internally like a cheap toy within 2 weeks and 2 scuffs which both broke within 4 weeks.
My Victrix Gambit has just past 13 months and is still working perfectly so for my new PS5 there is no question in my mind. The others have all been utter garbage. The King is still my 2002 PlayStation controller that still worked a couple of years ago when I tried it but only Victrix has been worth a damn. I may have been lucky with my unit but still it’s such a giant difference and I got nothing else to go on.
If I ever meet a manager from Razor or Scuff I think I’d tell them they make crap then spit on them😁(I have email evidence of Razor ceasing to assist me as soon as I said I’m in Australia so they flat out broke warranty. Dirty rats)
the fight pad is fire🥵🔥🔥
thnks mate for the review always great to see your videos one question away from topic how good are the geek made design are the worth it ? take care for Mexico :)
Their stuff is incredible quality
Very nice review
Ordering this ASAP!!! I just gave away my Astro C40 & I've been on the hunt for a replacement.
Is it possible to buy the stickparts as an repair option? Would be good if u get stick drift but i do not find anything (eu)😐
Darn... I watched this to find out if it has vibration or not. You did eventually say it doesn't and now I know not to buy it. Play Dying Light and try the lock picks without vibration... Good luck with that! Thanks for the video. You saved me from having to deal with returning it.
Used it for three months now and I highly recomend it
Does it work with PC?
@@bandiddid8583yes it works with ps4 and ps5 and pc
Could you configure it to have both sticks at the top like a Wii u pad???
Seems like a dope controller. I have the dualsense edge and I love it, but just want to try out something new as well. I actually switch my shoot and aim buttons to L1 and R1 because it’s easier for me that L2 R2. Definitely gonna give a try. Better priced than that wolverine pro
Can I have ur dual sense edge🥺
Tried both, just stick with the dual edge bro, it's better
I DO THE SAME THING WITH THE L1 and R1 AS AIMING AND SHOOTING
PS5 PRO Controller 😊 Like Always thanks for your insight and info on Controllers also 👍🏼 Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the support 🙏
Can the right module be swapped so the thumbstick is on top and buttons on bottom? Wondering what having both sticks at the top would play like. Also wish it had vibration, that adds a lot to games and its one of the nice things controller has over PC.
No, and that's the only downside for most people, but I still love it, some say the material isn't as high quality, but if it was, the price would be more, I play lots of types of games, from racing, sports, the odd FPS, and fighting games, and this controller can do it all.
This is pretty decent as I am burning through my 4th scuff controller now
Having sticks and the d pad that appears to function like the sega d pad seems cool. Can you confirm that's how the one top functions.
might get it just for the fight pad... but I just bought the nacon revolution 5 pro and the razer wolverine v2 pro wireless 😊
I gotta have offset thumb sticks 😊
Just bought one. Best Pro controller I’ve used.
Most of the controllers I had drifting off tracks while racing , Elite Pro, Thrustmaster Swap X pro, and XR were not fit for hardcore racing. All are drifting after some months, any opinion about this Victrix Pro BFG?
As someone who have their controller plugged in at all times, doesn’t play with vibrations, and prefers the joystick layout of the Xbox controller this is a no-brainer for me.
FINALLY TYSM❤❤
No worries, Thank you 🙏
@@SpawnPoiint SCUF vs Dualsense Edge vs Victrix Pro BFG???
Can you map the back buttons to R3 and L3?
Can you map the triggers to the back buttons with any of these controllers? I'm looking for one for racing games as I have bad joints on my trigger fingers and after 5 mins of a racing game holding down r2 my finger is in alot of pain
Lovely review.....Considering this for SF6....
As a dedicated Xbox player who utilizes the Elite Series 2 controller, I believe the Victus controller presents an excellent option for me, primarily due to its identical stick and rear button layout.
Ps5 pro controller! Nice video!
Loved this one.
Thank you 🙏
Halo infinite on ps5
I have been seeing which controller is the best to buy it and I chose the Citrix pro bfg
Doesnt this controller randomly disconnect? Ive seen it disconnect on a few top players during a tournament
The one reason why it requires a dongle to play wirelessly instead of the normal bluetooth way is also how Playstation consoles (at least PS4) handle wireless pads. Pad players can't disable their bluetooth connectivity on their own, so sometimes, you'll see a PS4 pad interrupting a fighting game tournament. Having a dongle like this probably prevents that, and having a pure wire option really helps fighting game players.
Also, Victrix also makes arcade sticks, which is why they have the fighting face button layout for this pad as well. They are great in their contribution to the fighting game community
@merrydingoes youve got some fgc knowledge, just what I'm looking for. I'm looking into this controller because I'm a big FG player, and the PS4/PS5 dpad is just god awful for me and flakes the simplest of inputs. I've used an Xb1 to PS4 adapter for years, because the Xb1 dpad has all the individual clicks for each direction and never misses a beat for me. Just got a PS5 the other day for sf6 and upcoming mk1, tried giving the dualsense a chance but it's not working out + there's no Xbox to PS5 adapters out yet that work with PS5 versions of games.
Do you think the dpad on this controller, or the one on the razer wolverine would be my answer? Like have better dpad registry and/or have the solid individual clicks in it?
@gyaroxx7829 unfortunately can't answer this question for you, as I don't own the Victrix pad, and I'm not pad player for fighting games (I use levers). I personally think the PS4 pad is rather good, especially after trying cheap 3rd party pads.
I was mainly going through reviews on this pad, as I was interested in pads that have a thumbstick for dpad inputs, like the Hori PS5 fight pad, and I was wondering if this Victrix pad could do this (it doesn't seem like it does).
I planning to get the the victrix next month because the dpad on the ps5 controller is positively abysmal while playing mk1.
I previously used the Xbox one controller on PC and moved to ps5 now but damn😅
My bro got the controller recently tho so I'll give it a try and if you want I'll tell you what I think of the dpad
I just bought a ps5 and after 13 years of playing PlayStation only I got used to the ps3/ps4 controller. The ps5 controller has the buttons almost falling off the sides n it’s subtle but I noticed it off the bat n I still can’t get used to it. I wish I could just use a ps4 controller but it won’t allow you when playing ps5 games so I’m looking for one JUST LIKE THIS ONE! These buttons on this controller are on a flat surface rather than the regular ps5 controller having them roll off the sides!
The controller I have Is the ps5 dualsense edge it's been really good using it it helps with my skills on mw2 its worth the money
As someone who plays a lot of controller games on PC, I would really like this controller for playing those games ngl.
This controller is good for me❤
The fight module is genius but the lack of vibration is a bit of deal breaker for me. Hopefully they’ll release a vibration version in the future.
I feel the same way.
Sony does not license the PS5 vibration. Example new Nacon Pro Revolution for PS5, don't have vibration for PS5 games, but work for PS4 games. Sony wants people to only buy their controllers
why? if you have this controller you'll most likely be playing competitively
@@doober.43 Not everyone plays comp. Also, the price doesn't justify no vibration motors.
@@doober.43 why would you think that? You don't have to play competitive to want a high quality/ modular controller lol
I was debating on picking one of these up... but might go for the duel sense edge.
Do that.
this looks like it can be a good fight pad for fighters. the dpad and fight pad module sre something i can really get behind. especially since i always prefer my controllers like that when it comes to fighting games.
I almost got this but the lack of vibration would throw me off quick. Likely gonna go SCUF
Tecwizo fixed my ps5 which had the ce-108262-9 error coming up multiple times i almost gave up thanks I appreciate 🙏 .
I just bought the duel sense edge and although it’s perfect and everything I wanted out of a pro controller I just cannot justify the price
Just bought one also. Don't worry, once it's time to replace the thumb stick module, the price will be justified.
I use the Hori Tactical Assault Commander Grip G1, best controller vie ever used and really wish Hori would start manufacturing it again :(
Does it use a DS4 mainboard though? I'm asking because im curious about gyro as it truly is a game changer for aiming
What's your top 5 picks for pc controllers i really like to know
How is the dpad for like mortal kombat? The dualsense dpad is awful for that game and causes a bunch of missed inputs due to pressing saythe back button a little too high or low which results in a jump or duck instead of the intended move back
Can you remap the r1 r2 shoulders and face buttons separately so they are not the same buttons?
It's very good. It takes a bit of getting used to, since I'm used to the ps controls.
Understandable but those rear buttons are awesome.
halo infinite on ps5
I think i’m fine with the edge controller. All i wanted was the paddles kn the back and being able to replace the thumbsticks with other ones. This is a good controller though if you want the fight pad, and being able to play xbox style. That’s really cool, to be able to do that.
Totally agree with you. The edge is better overall unless you need that fight pad.
so I love the edge controller when it is working properly. I'm about to be on my third controller in about 3 months. Both of the ones I've had, had failure on the right back button. it lost its clickiness and gets stuck depressed. The weird thing about that is i probably use the right one about half as much as i use the left one, but for some reason, both elites I've owned did that. I'm hoping the third one is a charm because everything about this to me is better as far as functionality/ease of options/price point compared to the other pro controllers.
if the edge had 4 paddles, id buy 3. so unbelievably disappointing that theres only 2. waited over 5 years for a pro PS controller
@@kevinahearn8764 just buy a scuff then or another brand of controller.
@@chacazulo1987 I wish it was that simple. I am pretty sure scuf offers a six month warranty, which is just terrible. I have owned two scufs and luckily they have not broken on me before I retired them. Disregarding the fact that I think the reflexes solution to four back paddles is clunky and pretty crap , after spending so much on controllers, I need at least a 1-2 year warranty. I just flushed $270 down the drain because my battle beaver is having major problems after only three months. it is truly unbelievable that these companies don't realize the significance of coming out with a controller that has little to none of these downsides. For example, I have been waiting over five years for a PS pro controller, and it only has two paddles. That is absolutely insane considering most competitive players use four.
Can you do a review of the razer wolverine v2 ps5 couldn’t find one on your channel 🥺🥺
I actually just ordered this before watching your review 😂 First thing excellent vid very clear 👍 I am pleased with what I heard. Been wanting a controller with rear paddles for some time but refuse to pay over 200 for any of them!!! Got this for £150 which I think is more than enough for any controller! After watching this I eagerly await delivery 👍 I will probably do a small vid myself on what I think playing Call of duty! Cheers.
People have been having a problem with the stick drift, I am stuck in buying this or the edge, have you had any problems with drift yet?
Im looking for a new controller 😅i like this one for the customizable placement of the joystick 🕹️ and i have Large hands. Also worried about the stick drift. I feel like buying both this and the pro with the mic & speaker
This is perfect thank you you did a good job if your someone like me and don’t have 260 to spend this is perfect 170$ fo the controller
I had the bfg for 11 minutes before I returned it and shelled out the extra $20 for the edge.
The fight pad is a cool idea but a pain to swap buttons.
The design feels like it was made for an Xbox user & triggers were uncomfortably sensitive.
This looks a really good pro controller… i wish they had magnets to change modules instead of screws would be perfect 😍
Magnets would have been great.

Are you going to do the RAZR one next.
I have a question can u put a usb like the ones headsets use in the controller
Ps5 pro controller, keep up the good work man
Thanks man, I appreciate that 🙌
I got one when they first came out and another for Christmas from my wife! I fuckin love these dam controllers! I got about 50 hours on the first one and no stick drift that I can tell. I know a lot of people are talking about the stick drift being insane which makes me wonder how well they take care of their shit or if they throwing tantrums from lost matches lol
I’d get this just for the feature of offset analog sticks
Is this controller good for Detroit Become Human? Because this seems very good. Able to keep the 2 analog low so I can move with the left analog stick to move easy, and the right one to do QTE’s. I could use the fight pad and get use to the button’s so I can boom, bam! If the instant works with the R1, R2, L1, and L2 buttons I could do them quickly. I probably would use the buttons on the very bottom for FPS games! Overall this seems pretty good for D:BH. If there’s any downsides, please tell me.
I need your opinion: What do you consider a good d-pad? Especially for Fighting games? I'm comfortable with the Dual Shock 3 or Dual Shock 4 on PS4 style d-pad... Dual Sense for PS5 controller pad also looks like the same style I like for a d-pad... what would you recommend?
Dpad should be slightly clicky for me. I prefer having a cross or at least decently noticeable grooves, but a lot of people swear by separated buttons. The big xbox disk-like contraptions feel very unwieldy for fighting games.
It's all about personal choice in the end. I personally love the Hori fighting commander Octa, but I wish it had a clickier dpad. I have yet to find the "perfect" controller.
Info on the dpad is exactly why I'm in these comments. Just got a PS5, and the d-pad is just not working for me doing the simplest of FG inputs. I've always used Xb1 to PS4 adapter because the "clickiness" of the original Xb1 controllers dpad is always on point for me. But here I am, because there doesn't seem to be an equivalent adapter for Xbox to PS5 yet.
So same question. Would this dpad (or the one on the razer wolverine) suffice for fighting games? I need the dpad to be accurate, and the stock PS5 controller just isn't doing it for me
would the fight pad module work great for mortal combat 1?
Big fan❤❤
Nice video
PS5 Pro Controller
Would you say it's more compatible with playstation than the nacon revolution 5 pro???
My Dual sense edge already has back button problems. I might replace it with this !
I need a new pro controller, my scuf is giving out, had it for a year and half over 2000 hours use on it. But I don’t know if can give up my mouse click triggers
Can you put both sticks in high position?
I wanted to know about joystick durability, stickdrift, and if you can just buy replacement modules instead of a whole new controller ever time
I want the controller, but if it gets stick drift, and you can't replace the thumbstick module, then it's not really worth buying.
Where can you buy the analog stick replacements?
I already have both usb ports being used in my new ps5 slim. So I guess I gotta shell out the extra money.
So going by this review they've doubled up on R1&R2 so in fight pad mode you can't move both "L" buttons to the right shoulder button & trigger?
Also there does not seem to be a lock button for accidental touchpad, share etc presses. For a fight pad I'm going to say it's a pass but for other types of games I guess your mileage will vary.
There is a tournament lock on this controller that does disable the touch pad, ps button and some other stuff on this controller.
@@themazin thanks for letting me know.
How’s the size compared to the DualSense ?
The DualSense is a little too thick for me and wanted to know if this feels more like an Xbox one controller
it feels lot better, im not a fan of the ps5 controller either
Can you use the arrow pad to move around in Fortnite instead of the stick?
Just bought one,1 day shipping can't wait to give it a go.
would u recommend this for a fortnite player ? is it good? responsive and no stick drift?
I’m thinking about getting the Victrix for games like Fortnite, cod and all fps games pretty much. But if I do get it I will still use my normal dual sense for game like spider man and and other story game because of the adaptive trigger
W
Can you map the 4 extra back buttons and the fight pad R1/R2 to multiple button press combinations for Tekken? Like 1+2+3 etc
As you may know already; Tekken has a button mapping option to assign a button to said combination. So those back buttons are just extra buttons that you already have. They aren’t additional buttons. They’re blank slates for the buttons the controller already has. (Cross”X” Triangle Circle Square R123 L123) so whatever button the back buttons are assigned to the face button is the same. Ie: Back button is X. The face button is also X. Assigning the Back button X to do 1+2+3 will also make the face X button do that same thing. So X can’t be 1 AND 1+2+3 on the back button X. Get me?
What controller would be best for long term so that I dont get stick drift? like the pro bfg would be the one for that since I can just switch out the sticks and not buy an entirely new controller.
The edge also lets you swap out the joysticks and you just need to buy replacements for $20 instead of new controllers every time
@@Axelrun1994 I’ve considered this but the ps4 controller is just way better for competitive gaming way less clunky and big and more fast in my eyes
