- Ride along with Dave and Dene in the "Money Run" at Lake of the Ozarks. The middle of the winter and water temps are really cold 38 to 40 degrees. I actually fished my first ever tournament there in November and I won it by myself because my partner couldn’t make it. I had 8.96 pounds. I’m 13 btw

Here in Cali mountains water temps are 36 at lake tahoe and 39 at jenkinson.

I throw mono alot ....10lbs Big Game in green is my favorite for cranking or jerking in cold water...stretch in line prevents pull offs...tiny little hooks this time of year...THANK YOU for subscribing

What gear ratio do you like to use in winter? Or you just stick to same reel all yr,
I use standard gear ration 6 to 1.... but not sure it matters the pause is usually the trigger..Thanks for watching
@@Fish30 I feel it matters with many baits i get you though the pause is when they take it. Just had some times the reel gear ratio really made the differnece

How can you keep a foul hooked bass in a tournament?
If you were "Sight fishing" it would have to be thrown back otherwise its a legal catch in Missouri...check your state rules...In California its not a legal catch... only state I know of that it has to be inside the mouth to be a legal catch...valid question for sure Thanks for watching
@@Fish30 Dang in Cali they get angry has to be hooked in the mouth. Still it does happen with jerkbaitt's more than anything!
