Here in the UK we have a safety app where each grid has three words, so when you call emergency services you tell them the three words of the grid you’re in and it makes it so much quicker to find you if you need help! Would definitely recommend seeing if they have it where you are because it’s so useful! Great video btw, can imagine this would be soooo helpful for first years! ❤️❤️

Thanks for the info. My son is a computer science major at UNCC that just transferred in as a junior this year. He's staying in Belk hall and really likes it. The room is close to his classes. However, due to some mix up in housing, it looks like he's going to be having to stay all the way on the other side of campus in Hunt Hall next year if he can't get it switched. At least the food will be better in SoVi from what I've heard. We had to buy "The Daily Plan" this year because it's his first year on campus and he has almost completely stopped eating in Crown Commons because he says it's so bad!

I just got accepted into Uncc! Did you feel nervous when you first started? How did you deal with it? I begin in the fall.
First of all congratulations on your acceptance to UNCC kiyomew that is literally awesome!😃🙌🏾So, I definitely did feel nervous with first day of class because I was just now trying to make new friends and get comfortable being on campus a lot. But, the way I dealt with that is I told myself this “when you are going to be doing something for a long period of time sooner or later you are going to get used to it.” So when I reminded myself that school is just school and it’s not going to feel nerve-wrecking like that forever then I should be fine. Also, making new friends and getting involved on campus helped ease the anxiousness as well. I hope this helped! Lastly, feel free to subscribe if you liked my content!😁👍🏾

Hi Cool Bees!😃 I am so glad you liked the video, I appreciate that a lot!💗 One of my good friends actually started at UNCC in the spring semester and I’ll admit she did express it was hard for her to make friends but then she met me 😂 and others as well. What helps is joining clubs on campus for sure! So definitely browse for some clubs that interest you on Niner Engage (ninerengage.uncc.edu/) and try joining those when you start in Spring. Also, attending events hosted on campus are a great opportunity to meet people as well. Students are generally friendly at UNCC!😁 Then, another way is socializing with people in your class, some students have made study groups from class so definitely don’t feel afraid to spark a conversation with students that you you’re maybe placed in a group with in class. Hi Joshua! Based on my experience it wasn’t that hard for me to get in because I had a pretty decent SAT score. I believe I did submit my sat and act score. But I wish you the best with applying to UNCC, I hope you get in as well! Thank you for your comment!😃🙌🏾

I was looking at the course requirements for like the general education and I didn’t see anything about a health or physical education requirement. Is there a health or PE requirement to graduate?
Not that I know of lol. If there was I would have to fight my school 😭. But yeah I don’t have that as a requirement under my general ed.
what would you say is the best dorm halls for upperclassmen? Like where do majority of the juniors and seniors stay?

My son stays in Belk in a 4-person apartment. There's 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. It's the only building in North Village that has a washer/dryer inside your actual unit.
Hi, I am going to transfer to UNCC this fall semester. Do you think whether I should bring a printer to the dorm, or just print by the school printer? How much are costs if I use the school printer to print the stuff? And also the video is very helpful!!

So to answer your question I 10/10 RECOMMEND you bring a printer. Usually the go-to place to print stuff is the Atkins library on campus. Also, the price to print at Atkins are :
-9 cents per page for black-and-white
-30 cents per page for color

for an out of state student who wants to go to uncc do you know if they give good scholarships ??
Hi Asia! UNCC provides merit scholarships and need-based scholarships so I’m sure you could find a scholarship that can meet the need of you being an out-of-state student. You can actually checkout what scholarships they do offer through the instructions provided on this website:

do you know the student to staff ratio?
I’m not really sure number wise but there is sometimes more students than teachers but that can depend on your major.

I can’t remember exactly but it was in the 3.0 range.
