Thank u so much sir because your explanations was so use full and easy to understand for every student after listen this explanations I got 10 marks in my final semester exams for 1 question
Sir why we separate the scr into PNP and NPN transistor this work can also be done by 4 layer scr . In scr if gate current is zero then scr is in off state and vice versa . The same work is also done by two transistor ie NPN and PNP so why we ned two separate it
It is done to understand that an SCR can be designed using two transistors also... Hope this is helpful... Do subscribe and keep supporting EC Academy ✌️

Your explanation is really outstanding. But here I have a confusion .... , why Ig = Ib2 rather than Ig = Ib2 + Ic1 ? .. please clear my doubt sir ..
Same question ib2 = ig + ic1
Mind blowing explanation sir ✌️

We can understand this by schematic diagram of scr also

negative voltage at gate .....doesnt explain why sir
Best
Thank you ❣️
What if voltage is applied to Vr? And not Vg?
To turn on SCR, voltage has to be applied to the gate…

sir how base is input and collector is output?
In common emitter configuration…. Base terminal is input & collector terminal is output…,
