  • So I've been traveling full-time for the past 3 years. I've gone from traveling with a backpack and a suitcase, which was not minimalist at all, to bike touring and carrying everything on my bike, to now backpacking for the past 2 months around India and the Philippines.
    In this video, I share with you everything that I carry! Except for a couple things that I forgot to show you like my Kindle and selfie stick for my camera.

    Thank you for your detailed explanation. You are not only a backpacker, you are also an excellent traveler!
    I thought you were a very frugal person, but I didn't expect you to be such a tasteful person. Your shoes and clothes are of excellent quality!
    It turns out the secret to looking like a star is to maintain good taste!
    That baggie you found out at home is awesome. It can keep all the cables together. It’s super convenient. I really want to buy one!
    Using a waist bag as a load-bearing part for a backpack can distribute some of the weight. You are so smart!
    I'm glad to know that you are more organized and efficient than I thought. Thank you very much for sharing, well done! 👍🤩👏

      I'd say not minimalist. Those are a lot of items. I like that collapsible bowl

    I do hope you come back with your bike. Can cover more ground and see more places without spending for transpo. Biking is a thing here in the Philippines. Everywhere, you'd chance upon a jike shop to help you with anything wrong or for spare parts. What I learned from this vid is buyingbwith a purpose. Your choice of clothes don't need ironing at all and they dry off quickly. I love the towel too. That I think is biggest take away. That's genius. Why buy the traditional towels when you can do with what you showed and dries overnight. I guess what you can do away is your two journals. You can exchange that for 2 more pair of clothing. Just store all your thoughts in your cpu or cellphone.

    • @NickKTravel
      @NickKTravel  Před 2 měsíci +3

      Yeah, I can't do the scooter for long, especially the one I had. It just killed my neck! I like the freedom of bike traveling as well, looking forward to coming back to the Philippines! Gotta have the quick dry, which means unfortunately no cotton. So you liked the towel, nice! The journals I keep actually as a way to stay off my phone. There's something therapeutic about writing and putting your thoughts down on paper as opposed to typing or doing it on your phone. That's why I like my Kindle too, I could read on my phone but having a dedicated reader with just books and nothing else to distract you is key in my opinion.

    Hey Nick, thanks for sharing. I've been following you since your first trip to Indonesia. Somehow you remind me of the young version of Gabriel Morris. Btw, how do you organize your video files when traveling long term? Do you upload it to your cloud storage besides backing up in your M1 and external storage? I'm sure there will be a situation where both storage getting almost full.
