"We've got plenty of other talents" Okay there is a difference of having talents and being a legend. Amy was and is a legend, and we only have a few artists in the world that reach up to the name *legend*. And sadly she died at a young age, thats why we lost another legend that can not be replaced at all.
Szlendak It’s like you never really left and let go, you only went through the motion of saying the words and turning around. You’re as attached to the person as you were before.
wow i’m crying. everyone took advantage of this woman and they failed her. she had an amazing gift to capture how she feels so flawlessly through her lyrics and people used her. terrible.
Christopher Matthews an amazing documentary, the saddest part was learning that the night of her death, she was calling her old friends and apologizing and wanting to turn it around. so heartbreaking.
I love how she wasn't afraid to dig deep into her emotions, the fact that she's says how you have to remember what his neck smells like, those type of details is what made the song so raw in emotion and what made her such an amazing songwriter!! This is inspiring to me as a writer. Amy is gone, but most definitely not forgotten. This documentary was extremely well done and it's refreshing the stance the director took to silence all the negative press about Amy.
That was a touching moment for me too, one of many. Here’s Tony his long life, and Amy burned herself up so astonishingly and heartbreakingly fast! You just wish one or two things had been different to save her. I think anybody that watched that documentary was heartbroken...But you can’t get them back. 💔
In an interview she once gave, she says " I always write about emotions and situations I am going through , even more so about emotions I don't even want to acknowledge that are there". This is really rare and unique, she was just like the confessional poets with her raw, distinct lyrics. What a talent, everytime I listen to her I get goosebumps.
bertjesklotepino at what she called the hardest moment of her life...not many...great men could get up from loves blow but somehow she fought with pen and paper to create something that immortalized the moment of heartbreak....a truly glorious event in life
Some eggshell soundproofing thrown over a couple of boards -- covered with packing blankets? Wow, 21st century recording facilities. That's just amazing. Because her records are some of the best-produced ever.
Please this is a super known technique. This is the reason why this album sounds so 60's. Ronson lost it... This is pirate radio and some 60's young label technique. This is why she sounded soooo good
I think Mark Ronsons calm friendly disarming charm is how he managed to get the best out of Amy s tremendous natural talent for songwriting and vocal performance
gordinistanopolis That’s an incredibly insightful observation! Yes. I think you’re right. He just let her have the space to write- no pressure- as if there was no need to concern about failure and in the space she thrives. Well said! 💔
An outstanding vocal, an outstanding song. Her loss is a tragedy, but her gift is what she left behind, and without that troubled soud we would not have her art.
I fucking miss Amy. Better than all these pop tarts singing about getting it in and how that's so special. That's nice. Nobody sings about heartbreak no more. You live and learn. 5 Grammys off one album. God love you Amy. You are a gem. RIP 2011
Kyle Ryann are you serious? all you ever hear on the radio is love love love, sex and breakups. yes Amy was a legend, but you're comment is so wrong, people make WAY too many love songs
Dani lol you make 0 sense. First of all, don't try to speak for OP, their point is different than your point. Second, no "real" songs about breakup? Are you 5 or just stupid? Music is music, it doesn't matter who wrote. there's no such thing as fake music so let's just get that across there. Also, you really think no modern artist writes their songs? really? actually do research and give examples before coming at me with that shit. You're not better for liking a certain type of music, so fuck off.
naomi obi you seriously need to chill, insulting people when they're just having an opinion. Personally I kinda agree with her/him because nobody who's famous writes songs with their whole tormented and broken soul and heart like her anymore.
What a jewel....she embodied jazz....the cool....the struggle...the class...the pain...the joy and ultimately....the destruction....joining the greats....shes probably jamming with Bird and Monk.....rest in peace.....only became a fan after i found how much she loved the truest american music...and how now shes forever engraved in ita sounds
Amy’s voice was so unique, so filled with emotion. She truly was a gift from above. That voice will live on but I wish she was still here so that we could listen more. I’m sad every time I think of her and the incredible loss of her life.
I miss this kind of songs where someone sings about things how they felt and that happend to them ,and not how some song writer felt. If you sing something that you felt and you wrote you sing it with more emotion with your heart and soul.
For me it is really sad when the music comes on because i was listening it for a long time and now i saw it like, with video, i can not only hear but also see it and it is so emotional for me. ( 1:20 )
Wow I felt so honored to hear her singing, it haunts you like she's right next to you. The depression and anxiety is very relatable, Amy was very magnetic and is saving a lot of people with her message
There was this one lyric in the songs that hit me “you back to her and I got back to...us.” I feel so bad for her for this loser to have her enter a heavy addiction and just leave her in the dirt like that. Blake didn’t deserve her.
my heart will always hurt knowing that the world lost such a gorgeous and talented woman, there will never be anyone like her ever. i’m sorry the world didn’t treat you better amy
this girl was special she is forever missed, truly a legend ,died way too young but now she is part of that "27 club" did you know there was only a 16 day gap between Jimmy Hendrix and Janis Joplin's death they were both also 27 y/0 when they passed away
It's going to be 10 years in July since she passed, it seems like yesterday when I found out on a sweaty day in Dublin about Amy's passing. Heartbroken till now💔
This is too much. Amy winehouse was such a talent, taken way way way too soon. Hope she's resting in peace as her legacy lives on for generations to come.
Thank you so much for posting this! The most exciting sequence I thought in the entire touching Documentary! Gives me chills when the music comes in! And, Mark Ronson’s comments: wrote “lyrics and the melody in 2 or 3 hours...” ❤️🔥💔
"She wrote Back to Black, all lyrics and melody in two or three hours."
We really lost a talent to the world.
but we've got plenty of other telents. worth it
Somebody You wanna know Thats not the point do. The point is that she was an amazing singer and we all loved Her and her music.
Sjonny BB I know. But that's awaright. People die all the time
Somebody You wanna know wtf wow
"We've got plenty of other talents"

This woman... hell is hot for everyone who used her
Indeed, she was too good for them.
This comment made me actually tear up. This is very accurate.
Exactly, and sadly I've understood that there were many of those. World is a jungle
Amen

so thin, sickly thin! what a tragedy!
Very. God bless her.
'we only said goodbye with words...'
😍
i don’t understand
Szlendak It’s like you never really left and let go, you only went through the motion of saying the words and turning around. You’re as attached to the person as you were before.
Szlendak it’s a lyric in the song
"I died a hundred times" hits me different.
wow i’m crying. everyone took advantage of this woman and they failed her. she had an amazing gift to capture how she feels so flawlessly through her lyrics and people used her. terrible.
Watch the documentary and you’ll see just how let down she was. Terrible.
Christopher Matthews an amazing documentary, the saddest part was learning that the night of her death, she was calling her old friends and apologizing and wanting to turn it around. so heartbreaking.
What??? Stop blaming other people for the decision of addicts
@@pantarei8382 addicts often don't think rationally, that's the problem.
Wait how did ppl use her??
She is literally standing there chillin during the recording. Awesome

Well said man
Sorry, what is the name of the documentary?
@@veronikafedorova4493 i think it's called amy
Veronika Fedorova it’s called Amy
Her voice is so amazing. R.I.P
I miss her 💚 no one can have a voice as unique as Amy Winehouse.
WHY SHE'S DEAD WHY😭😭😭
She's suffering now So so much Unbelievable Much
@@manierwarsaw9820 how? please explain?
“Slow down. You’re too important. Life teaches you how to live it, if you get to live it long enough.”
- Tony Bennett on Amy Winehouse
❤️
No one wonder Tony Bennett is Tony Bennett
That was a touching moment for me too, one of many. Here’s Tony his long life, and Amy burned herself up so astonishingly and heartbreakingly fast!
You just wish one or two things had been different to save her. I think anybody that watched that documentary was heartbroken...But you can’t get them back. 💔
I just wish he had said this to her that day when they sang together. She'd probably hear him, he was her idol.
The story of Amy Winehouse is so tragic genuinely so sad she was just mistreated by her males in her life and mistreated by the media
diztiinct ? Speak English chap
diztiinct the hell you talking about??
There is primarily the lack of respect by her own father!! To start with ! Then attracting the wrong guys.
Omg no one could say better and her voice jesus ... tragic but all the good ones go quick ... 🥺😓
if you look how alive she was here, its hard to imagine she is gone. So sad to loose such an artist.
bertjesklotepino at what she called the hardest moment of her life...not many...great men could get up from loves blow but somehow she fought with pen and paper to create something that immortalized the moment of heartbreak....a truly glorious event in life
I truly cannot watch this video without crying. Her loss still hurts.
man me too . it’s early in the am and im crying
We missed so much great music by her dying so young

Love the isolated vocal. What a f---in great voice! Once in a generation or two does a voice and style like that emerge.

Kyle Ryann Amy's one of my favorites for sure. But many singers still sing about heartbreak. Shawn mendes, Taylor swift, Demi, Adele, etc..
my dear Amy, we have failed you. Keep shining littlegirl

"Back to Black" is the best song of Amy's incredible discography, and one of the best songs ever made, period.
