      @jhopeur7219 Před 3 lety +5

      j-hope has always been a good singer. He was brought in for his dance but his vocals were part of the package. He's said he was interested in singing for a long time. In the beginning, he even frequently introduced himself as being in charge of rap, dance, and singing. And he did have a really strong hip hop base and sense of rhythm and musicality. Plus he's naturally talented. So he did have a bit of a head start. I'm just grateful he decided to do it right and start writing and learning how to make music right away too. He could have taken the easy way like a lot of idol "rappers" but he wanted to honor the genre and his team so he wrote his own stuff from the start too. King.

      @morayoadedapo2457 Před 3 lety

      @@rutupatel7648 I think she means that a lot of idol rappers don't write their own lyrics, and that's "taking the easy way out". However that's kind of unfair to say, simply because it's not up to the artist whether they can write their lyrics or not. The company decides who gets to work on songs. The reason being that is risky to let the artist do their own thing, bc it could flop, and they could lose money. The company knows exactly what to do to get people to buy albums and come to concerts. That's why I give big props to bighit bc even after bigbang(they were one of the first idols to be given freedom to write and produce and bc of them, more companies opened up to letting their artists touch their music) idols who wrote or produced, or did both, were pretty scarce. They took that risk with bts, and their work is paying off.
      **I am a firm believer that a rapper doesn't need to write their own lyrics to be considered a "real" rapper. Mostly because of what I just talked about, but also because I've seen plenty of khiphop artists who write their own lyrics and still leave a lot to be desired. Whether its because the lyrics have no substance(I literally heard a song where the guy said "money, money, money, money..." for HALF his verse) or because they just don't have good flow(this is more opinion I guess, but idk). Music is sound first and foremost. If it doesn't sound good to me, idc how good the lyrics are, I can't listen. If an idol rapper doesn't write their lyrics, but has good flow and technique, they're still a real rapper.
      This is definitely more than you asked for loll sorry I get carried away when I write 😅

      They obviously are open-minded and they can have their favorites and change later. Did you wait months to pick a favorite or have a preference? Or did you find someone you vibed with right away? A lot of people go through changes as they discover more. j-hope didn't become my bias until 8 months in. It's totally fine for them to pick someone who sticks out to them. They're musicians themselves so they have a good eye and ear and aren't just picking someone superficially either. And they haven't written anyone off. Your whole comment comes off like "J-hope, really? Once you hear the others more, you won't pick him..." and that's just not necessary. I, for one, was pretty impressed they saw right away what it sometimes takes people months to see. So many people are dismissive of j-hope's rap and style because it is less traditional. I LOVE seeing people embrace him for that. Plus it's not like these guys haven't seen anything. They've worked their way through a lot of content, including solo work from everyone and live performances and from many different eras too. As they continue their journey and hear more of everyone's range, they may very well change their preference. I did. Many of us do. At the end of the day they clearly respect all of their talents. Let them vibe with Hobi if they want to. -_-

    The nice thing about the rappers is that no matter who your favorite is, you have to know and respect that they all are just phenomenal. j-hope is my favorite rapper. I think his verses hit hardest on about 85% of their tracks and I enjoy his style and perspective and charisma (see him live once and you'll get it). That being said, my favorite song in BTS' whole discography is Suga's "First Love" and I have more tracks from RM (RM's 2015 mixtape) on my regular playlist than I do from any other mixtape. They're so different and so great at what they do that they don't really compete. They're all playing different positions on the field at expert levels. So yeah, I have a favorite. But it's not even necessarily because I think one is more talented than the others--it just comes down to personal taste.

    Dont worry about their rapping, even tho their latest releases doesnt really reflect the raw rapping skills of the rapline since they got out of the hiphop style a bit so its really rare to see a monster flow in the latest releases. But even tho they are not showcased in the songs they still warmup, and exercise and continuously practice their rapping, even tho they are really good at it :D. So if someone calls the rapline to spit bars then they will give it, anytime anywhere. Its just early BTS was hiphop based so rap really had a huge part back then. And even in some latest songs feature the skills of the rapline, and I know that you guys know they produce mixtapes. Also thanks for the reactions guys

    well to be fair, seven years ago RM had been already rapping for another 7 years lol. he started when he was around 12 years old, same as suga, while jhope learned to rap _with_ them, meaning he wasn't a rapper before he joined bighit in 2010 and had to learn RM and suga's ways. however he DEFINITELY became just as skilled as them, and with time he came to excel in his own areas, which to me are flow and rhythm; no one compares when it comes to that.

    Happy Fredo notice the aggresivity of RM rap even on this type of song...i think the same, I feel is something innate in him, but is nice to hear how BTS are able to incorporate and match their great rap into any type of song and works as butter with bread with the vocal line, either balad, rap, R&B, etc etc.... this is the type of song you bounce your head back and forth following the rythm, thanks guys for the reaction of "Just One Day" 💜

    Just One Day live is simply magical... BTS killing it as usual, then Army all singing with perfect Korean... how? I have no idea what logical explanation I can come up with.

    First of all, I am sorry guys for people still giving you a hard time. They are either new to your channel or haven't bothered to look on your page to see how much BTS you have reacted to. You hit it right on the head Fredo. RM is just a genius when it comes to lyrics and making them flow together. And his rapping seems effortless. Yoongi is also a genius when it comes to lyrics. And yes his style does tend to be harder hitting. He has had a much harder life than RM or Hobi. So in the early days he had a lot of anger and anxiety. Hobi never rapped until he was signed by BigHit. So his flow isn't like RM or Yoongi but he is also very good at writing. Hobi can actually sing really well also so I think they use him as a singing rapper a lot, lol. If there even is such a thing. And his songs tend to be happier and more easy going because that's who he is. But without the uniqueness and difference of all three BTS would not be even close to who they are. So there is nothing wrong with one just appealing to you more, or you even having favorites on different songs. Every song has all of them doing different parts and different techniques and it always seems to work perfectly. Hence the brilliance of BTS. So to sum it up, you guys are never wrong with how you feel or what you think or who your favorites are. You have mad respect for all 7 and that is what really matters. Love you guys 💜💜💜

    I think you haven’t heard enough early BTS to judge the rappers skills yet. One thing I can tell you is that Jhope was always super creative with his flow from the very beginning. Maybe it didn’t show in this song because of the style of the song. You should do an album review of one of the first albums please, for instance their second album called O!RUL8,2?

    I didnt comment this before, but RM was known as Runch Randa before debuting in BTS
    this is when he was underground, when he did do underground he was WELL known in the scene as the rapper who you dont wanna go against (he was younger than 16 when he was undeground)
    even Suga (his undeground name was Gloss) knew RM's ability (mind you they lived on two very different sides of the country being that RM is from Ilsan and Suga is from Daegu)
    in RM's first solo mixtape he went HARD, but based on how rappers talked about RM, i dont think he has even scratched the surface of his talent and possible aggression.

    Rm was very talented that young. Suga was into underground rap as well and is considered the fastest in the group as he can rap 8.8 syllables per sec.
    Jimin is main dancer. He has a different style or dance to jhope so I don't compare them. Jhope pops and does great hip hop dances. Jimin is into popping and his main style is contemporary which he has added to his dances to create special types of movements that seems to have become signature. JK(jungkook) attended dance school in the us. Hoseok used to be lead dancer but since Jk is main singer and center of the acts most times, he's lead dancer. Hoseok is also main dancer. He usually learn the dances first and teach the others.
