- In this video I do a bit of spur of the moment rockhounding in Arizona, on public land, just off a little-used dirt road. I found some interesting and pretty rocks too. Watch and see what I got. Please visit my blog at mdpub.com for more information.
Nice area with some nice rocks. Will eagerly await the reveal after you get home and get them tumbled or slabbed.
Beautiful wonderful and Gorgeous BLESSINGS!!!
Arizona has lots of Beautiful Pet Wood and assorted Rocks, Gems, Minerals and Specimens. Maybe One Day We Rock Hound As A Group.
Nice little haul
Hi Mike, Pretty good haul for 30 minutes. Thumbs up! Stay safe. Hope your eclipse adventure went well!! Jim
We see YOU ENJOYING YOURSELF! Pants-losing weight-hehehe
last piece is ryolite
I can say this with absolute certainty, the bright orange rock does not tumble well. In fact it become porus
thanks for the info.
Hopefully we be able to download our videos and pics
That "potato" rock reminds me of a fossilized turtle skull
That last one could be ryolite or maybe a wood burl?
good commentary 😅
Are you in the area where there is FIRE AGATES?
Not as far as I know.
I am thinking the lazy me would do better on a quad with a storage box would be better than the walking with my pants falling off
Trust me, even with an off-road vehicle, if you love rockhounding, you’d have pockets of rocks. I know I do. We aren’t supposed to trailblaze in AZ. And I walk away from the roads cause I feel the best rocks have been picked up by fellow rockhounds. And yes my pant slide down. I’m only a 140lbs lady. It’s not my belly causing it it’s the rocks. 🤣
Mike, Due to our Disability I would not mind 10lbs of assorted Rocks from Your RockHounding? We will gladly pay$ for shipping and any other Cost. Just asking?
Maybe. Let me see what I have after I get home.
