Dave when you say something is 'fairly simple' your threshold is somewhat higher than the majority of us mere mortals :)
Thank you 😊
tidy job dave
Cool project! A manta b gsi would be most welcome in my garage 😊
Lovely!
Nice job chap 👍🏻
Thank you 😊
5.50 I would have bent the excess over the old chassis piece to give extra rigidity to the next piece to weld in .Can i suggest a good jumper and leather gauntlets when welding and cutting, this way sparks don't make you jump and saves injury, nice to see a manta being saved much better than a riddled escort😀
Excellent Job 👌👍
As an ex MOT tester how happy I would have been seeing repairs done like yours.
Thanks, that means a lot 😊😊
It would not pass MOT in Denmark, the hole section had to be replaced to keep the strenght in the structure. Its not aloud to patch it together like that.
Good work Dave. I know this car. I also have an identical one. Same year same colour 😊
Ah brilliant, thank you 😊
👏👏👏
really lookin forward to every episode comin ....really love it
Thank you 😊
Tricky job done well Dave
Good repair the later manta chassis were notorious for rusting
Thank you 😊
Great job dave
Nice one dave I do find opel mantas made of Swiss cheese there was 2 near me sitting, there rotten as a pear!
Yep, Swiss cheese is a good comparison 🤣
@@DavesGarageuk ye they are i know where there's a white one sitting in my home village its been there for over 20 years in a guys back garden.
Nice work Dave 👍
great job
Fantastic bit of fabrication, thoroughly enjoy your videos.
Thankyou Dom
Great repair! You'll soon have this back on the road and saved, I'm sure cars become unsalvagable faster once they are no longer drivable.
That's very true, it is amazing how quickly a car deteriorates when it's not being used.
Always enjoy your simple step by step approach to problem solving. Nice job on the work and the video, thanks.
Thank you 😊
Another great video from you, thanks and keep them coming 👍
Thank you Matthew 😊
salut Dave je trouve que tu fais un très bon travail bonne continuation
Thank you Jason, and bonjour 😊
Amazing skills, your talent it’s just unbelievable 👍🏻
Can’t wait for the next one
Thank you Mick 😊
Love the videos dave really nice neat work. Looking to replace my old mig welder just wondering the make of yours.
Thank you 😊, the welder is a R-Tec 180 mig, I can't recommend it enough, it has been brilliant.
looking good! question for you , where do you get your metal sheets from? also what black paint are you using? thanks
I get metal from a local steel supplier, try to get 8x4 sheets, works out more cost effective. The black is, for now, just stone chip paint from halfords.
@@DavesGarageuk good tips , thanks
Pretty to watch fabulous work Dave , I was thinking blimey look at the state of that ! but like you say think about what your doing and and it can soon be sorted out with a bit of head scratching and some plate steel lol
Thanks, I try to just focus on one piece at a time, otherwise its easy to become overwhelmed by the task.
