Excellent tip. Just bought a briefcase in a thrift shop for 2 euro because it was locked and they didn’t have the combination. Had both locks opened in 3 minutes using this method.

*BINGO Indeed*. The solution worked for myself with my "Vaultz" case that I had forgotten the Combination to. Opened up readily when I located all of the notches as described in the video. Thanks for posting this solution.

to all the people who are wondering , IT WORKS! my suitcase was 3 combo locks on both side. (tip- use a very slim card or tablet stripp that doesn't bend, when the grove of the dial is open it goes a bit deeper.) took a fffffflong time though cheers

My son is in Spain using the right combination on a new case but with no joy. He used this method with a knife and within a minute he can now begin the stag do. Cheers

"Thank You" Handy Harvey, worked perfectly! I had come across an older Mutual brand natural cowhide leather Briefcase, loaded with like new, but old, handcrafted fibrous sheets of rag paper. Cleaned it up with Tannery Leather and Vinyl care. Now the combination lock has been reset, it's a great new (old) briefcase for someone. I don’t feel any “notches” on either side. Every number, on either side, just feels like a smooth rounded curve.🤷🏼♂️

Ohh It works!!! I couldn´t believe it, I didn´t understand second part, one by one at the same time! I found an old Echolac briefcase (Inspected By label says 82.7.6) Gracias (By the way, it was empty)

Forget the paper, I opened my 3 tumbler lock case in less than a minute. Go to your auto shop or Harbor Freight and buy a set of feeler gauges, a 0.15 in feeler gauge slipped in real easy to the left of each wheel, then using a fine screwdriver move the wheel one click at a time, when you hit the right number the feeler gauge blade goes down slightly and you can rock the wheel back and forward and feel the movement to confirm, sure enough in less than a minute .... ' Click' and I was in !!
@audimanpov. Going to auto shop or Harbor Freight takes more than a minute, plus you get to spend money for a tool. I guess I still go with paper. It's available everywhere and costs nothing.

Your solution worked for me. I have a number of feeler gauge sets so I grabbed a real narrow set (.25) and went probing for the indentation. I like a good puzzle, but the piece of paper wasn't happening on my RoadPro case. Thanks to HandyHarvey and you for putting various solutions out there.

Worked!! Although for mine I wouldn't say it felt "smoother" on the right number just "different", almost more crunchy if that makes sense....either way it will feel different than all the other numbers

Hi @nazaninaryanmehr7238, start on any random number. The idea is to look for the gap or notch on each dial. Use any thin and rigid object to insert on either the right or left side dial. Turn each dial up or down (must be in single direction only-to avoid confusion). Work your way until you see that all the gaps are lined up.
See @2:13 This should be your starting point, rotate the dial one by one (in single direction only) until the lock opens.

Hi! I have a new open story suitcase that arrived with the locks fastened. I turned the combo to the default setting - 000 - and I cannot for the life of me get the locks to lift. Are you able to make a video showing the locks being unlocked? Really appreciate your help :)

I've been doing this for hours without any luck. :( Can't tell what feels or doesn't feel like "a notch". Don't know if I should be on the right or left side. Have gone through 1k numbers pushing my latch out: maybe it's a latch that pushes in? my piece of paper keeps getting ruined when I stick it in... I'm at a loss, here...
