The "lawyer lawsuit" rant was perfect. It's what their play is. They choose key words, latch onto them, use them as hot buttons "trigger words", repeat the trigger words as fast as possible in quick succession, ramble, and try to create a fake outrage using the word to distract you from everything else relevant that was said. I'm happy it happened because he played himself. Their tactic is pathetic

@Some Person Once this is over... scares me ten million more times than up to and including this point in time. Once this is over and he's acquitted by all the you-know-who's??? He can literally declare himself King and it's done. If no one can stop him from doing what he's already done and no one can force him to hand over documentation and they can just let him completely off the hook after alllll this evidence... then he could theoretically (literally and figuratively!) declare himself King and there would be nothing they could do then, either. Now if that don't scare the big F out of ya, God knows what will. Cuz I sure don't! What IS it that he holds over so many empty heads?????

I cannot believe I'm still living in America. Watching the house mangers (who presented their opening arguments so eloquently, and with such deadly aim), layout every piece of evidence, proof and statements that they had, did indeed prove by the preponderance of the facts, which is impossible to defend or deny, let alone aquit such actions of this type behavior by the Potus, who did abuse the power of his office, jeopardized our national security as well as violated the trust of the American people!
If indeed this is still America, i know of no juror who when asked if he/she was partial to either side, and their answer would be yes, THEY WOULD NOT BE SELECTED IN ANY COURT!! If this is still America, and witnesses were subpoenaed to testify/submit documents in court, and they refused,THEY WOULD BE FINED, JAILED OR BOTH! If this is still America and witnesses were being tampered with, intimidated and/or threatened, THERE DEFINITELY WOULD BE CONSEQUENCESES! However, all this is being allowed in these proceedings! So how can you call this a court of law in America???? It seems as if the Senate is in the twilight zone and the outer limits during these hearings and trial proceedings. They certainly weren't on earth. Didn't they see, hear and watch the proof given during the proceedings? Oh wait, they were busy going to the restrooms or for water etc🙄. They made no sense!! Their minds were made up before these proceedings were put in place! If one person can be above the law, why not all of us?! Yes the GOP had it right people, (although not for the same reasons they claim). This is not a trial but a sham of a trial, flagrant disrespect for the laws of our constitution and the trust of the American people who put them in power! Remember, it doesn't take a sudden move to lose democracy, but subtle moves, until one day you wake up to a different kind of reality. We must also vote for a change in the Senate because they do not honor the oath they swore to uphold to their country and the American people who help put them in office! Remember people when you go to vote, "THE POWER IS IN YOUR HANDS, USE IT, OR LOSE IT"😉

No wonder why they are not using their full allotted time, NOTHING TO SAY! They will use their 2 hours of summations to disguise, deflect and deny as usual! What can you do if 40% of the population refuse to accept reality and deny all facts and evidence, insisting that the truth is the opposite of what you can see and hear? No rational appeal to accepting what's true has any effect except to make the person threaten to kill you, or threaten that they can't wait til all who speak the truth are in concentration camps. Unity with such people would be a bad mistake. Even after they eventually get slapped back into reality, probably by monumental financial crimes by Trump and their effects, such people are still dangerous. They have shown they disdain love of the country and will happily sabotage any progress just out of spite or for adolescent "revenge."

Mulling over the last couple of days something came into sharp focus for me. While I wasn't terribly surprised that Republican senators voted almost completely uniformly to table amendments to the most blatantly unfair of Mitch McConnell's rules for the proceedings (with a single exception on one amendment concerning time constraints) but apparently after the session was over and the cameras were off some approached Mitch and got him to reverse a couple things.
Think about that. The Republican senators were afraid to vote their actual opinions while on television. Where the President could see them. Even if you don't really hold out a lot of hope for them to find their conscience in a meaningful capacity if someone were to point out on the Senate floor and actually say the words out loud: "There are people in this room afraid to cast a free vote where the President can see it." I think it just might have a profound effect.

It's too late now for anything to trip them into acting in anything other than pure self-interest - if the knowledge that their names will forever be tarnished along with Trump's by being seen to stick by his side isn't enough to make them speak out in public, absolutely nothing is.
