I’m so excited for the lambs in a field 🐑 There are so many things about Yorkshire (the people and the landscape) that I feel have very special crossovers to Scotland and our countryside and folks, so I’m making the blanket but with Scottish heather inspired colours and it’s already looking like a pretty special project. Thank you so much for coming up with it and sharing!
My favorite square was the windmill. This would be my second granny square blanket since learning to crochet 4 years ago. Looking forward to seeing everyone's blanket. 😊
My favorite thing to crochet is blankets and I love making squares! My favorite one of the squares is the falling leaves and I really love the wheat one also. 😊
Being a Yorkshire girl & living near so many of these beautiful places which have inspired this stunning blanket, I’m torn as I love them all but I do think the Yorkshire Rose square is so clever & gorgeous so I think that’s my favourite 😍
Hi Em I’m absolutely loving the CAL. The square with the bobble and XDC is definitely turning into my favourite. Thank you for doing this competition for us
Oh my goodness, I LOVE all of the squares! I was just rereading Wuthering Heights a couple of months ago so the Brontë Square really spoke to me! I also LOVE the Lambing Square and all of the flower ones. I think I will pick my favorite to be Falling Leaves because I love fall and falling leaves! It’s really hot where I am right now in the USA in South Carolina, so I am looking forward to a little cool falling leaves in a few more months! Thank you so much for this fun and beautiful CAL!!!
This showed up in my recommendations today, and I’m so glad it did! This blanket is gorgeous & the timing couldn’t be more perfect. My crafty moods cycle, and I’ve been wanting to spend time crocheting something long-term. I’ve never made a crochet blanket before, so I bought my pattern and will be stash diving tonight to pick my yarn out. Can’t wait to get started! I was also relieved to hear that there is a pattern and tutorials with US crochet terms. I feel like some designers don’t disclose that very obviously, so I appreciated that you mentioned that.
I haven't done a CAL in a long time. Wildflowers square is my favorite. I'm s sucker for flowers in the center of a square, my grandmother made many blankets and afghans with textured elements like that! Thanks for the opportunity to win some yarn and a pattern!
OMG....so hard to pick one, I love them all.......mill wheel looks great and falling leaves is awesome. Thankyou for you hard work and wonderful design. Can't wait to start.
I've been so excited to see this blanket come together. My favorite is the Yorkshire rose square, although it's so hard to choose because they're all so pretty!
Oh wow! I’m new to crochet but can’t wait to try this gorgeous blanket. I love all the squares, really love the Yorkshire Rose but I think wildflowers is my favourite. You are so talented!! ❤️🧶❤️🧶❤️
It’s hard to choose one square, they are all lovely! I’m tossing up between the foxglove and the Yorkshire Rose but I think the Yorkshire Rose just edges it for me. It reminds me of when I was a student in York and I loved going to see the Rose window in the Minster.
Lovely MAL.. Im loving the fox glove square & the falling leaves. They honestly are so close that I can't say which one I'm loving the most. I've also shared your video out to others. I appreciate all you bring to us with your knowledge.
Absolutely beautiful! My favorite...it was hard to choose between falling leaves and the yorshire rose....I have to choose falling leaves. I love the visual texture!!
It's so hard to choose a favorite, but I think I'd have to choose the Yorkshire Rose or Wildflower square. I love flowers and bobble stitches ☺ I am also in love with the border of the blanket 😍😍
my favorite is also falling leaves!! i recently bought a skein with lots of red/orange colorways and have been dreaming of the possibilities until i saw this square. definitely going to be making this one!!!
Hi- I love the mill wheel. I have made it already as I thought it was really pretty. I know the others are too but I was drawn to this pattern first. Thanks for publishing this- my first follow along
I pick the Bronte square inspired by the Bronte sisters. All of them are gorgeous but right now i am being drawn to super simple that uses less yarn. The CAL sounds so exciting and fun. The giveaway yarn is so gorgeous.
I'm in love with two squares!!! The Bronte square is so pretty, dainty, yet dramatic. The Mill Wheel square just draws me in. All of the squares are beautiful, but these are the two that hold me captive.
I love this blanket and hope to start the CAL. They are all beautiful squares but my favourites are the Sheep 🐑 , The Yorkshire Rose 🌹 and Falling Leaves 🍂 Ooh this is so exciting the colour packs you have put together are also beautiful but I will probably use stash yarn in DK previously purchased for an unknown blanket in beautiful spring colours 😍
Well, I guess I am doing the CAL because I fell in love with all those squares ! But if I really have to choose one to be my favorite, it may be the wild flower square ! ❤️😍❤️
Oh my gosh Choosing a favourite is so difficult I was going to say the Lambing Season one, then the Yorkshire Rose square popped up which I loved even though I’m a Lancashire Lass 😜 and then finally, the Wildflowers square arrived and that has to be the one I’m most looking forward to learning I’ve recently returned to crocheting and absolutely loving learning new skills and reminding myself of old ones As you mention, I think this one is definitely will show have far I’ve come Thank you so much
Most of the beautiful squares are still a bit too advanced for me but how wonderful is the final one? Stunning! The prize yarns are also gorgeous. I've been using some wool minis lately but still love Stylecraft Special DK.
Absolutely love this as a Yorkshire lass! Each of the squares is beautiful in its own way and I thought the Brontë square was going to be my fave, but it's got to be the Walk in the Woods for me - I live in Otley and I look out onto the Chevin from my craft room window! Never done a CAL and am in the middle of two other blankets, but I am very tempted!!
I saw this CAL shared on instagram and I was so intrigued. I haven’t participated in a CAL in a very long time and I love the look of this blanket. It will also be a good way to use my advent. My favorite square I believe is the Yorkshire Rose.
I really love the thought and the love that you can see have gone into designing this blanket, all the squares are beautiful but I love the Wild flowers, the mill wheel and the Yorkshire Rose!
I like all of the squares and I have the official “Retro” yarn pack of Yarnsmiths Merino Sock on order and am looking forward to starting this CAL. I like the simpler squares, so my favorite is the Mill Wheel square. While I did not complete the Hexigon CAL on time, I had a blast, and my goal this time is to make this blanket and meet the time table this time.
I'm so excited to get started on this pattern! Just waiting for my yarn delivery. I think I'm looking forwards to the falling leaves square the most maybe 🧶
Beautiful blanket!! I’m going to make this , hope it makes me feel closer to Yorkshire. I probably will never get there although it’s been my life long desire!(71, now)
The Falling Leaves square is by far my favourite! The colour reflects fall so perfectly, and the stitches really do look like leaves! It also looks like a really fun square to make ☺️ Good luck to everyone who enters the giveaway!
I am so looking forward to joining in with this CAL, I think my favourite square and the one I am most looking forward to doing is the lambing season square
You got a follower from the Caribbean also I'm a beginner and following you has made it easier to enjoy crocheting , going to join the CAL I'm really excited to try these squares can't say which is my favourite yet cause I have only made the solid granny square and the sunflower square because I love sunflowers, so maybe at the end of the CAL I might have a favourite. The giveaway yarns are beautiful I missed it🥰congratulation to the winner.
For the giveaway: Love the Falling Leaves square ❤. I ordered the Stylecraft Yarn Pack and the Ravelry pattern and at the moment I'm working my first square to check the gauge. Looking foward to the CAL 🎉❤
I absolutely LOVE the lambing season square and the Yorkshire rose square! It's hard to pick between the two, but lambing season is so darling, and Yorkshire rose is delicate and beautiful ❤
I change my mind on what block is my favourite but right now it’s the lambing season square !! I’m really looking forward to seeing this blanket come together 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’ve never done a CAL before but I’ve been wanting to do a blanket like this for ever such a long time so I’m going to do this one. I liked all the squares but I’ve 2 favourites…the falling leaves and the one with the 3d flower in the centre. I love stylecraft dk but will look into the bamboo cotton option before making up my mind. Thank you so much. Bye 💁🏼♀️
It is hard to pick my favorite but I guess I would pick waterfalls, rolling hills, and wildflowers. That gives me a special one to learn from each part. You have put in a lot of hard work designing this beauty.
This is awsome, thank uou so much for your hard work and video. Im hoping to buy the stylecraft pack and follow along. So hard to choose one square. I think mine would be the mill wheel square, it's beautiful xxx
Hello Em , enjoyed your video. As I adopted Yorkshire as my ‘Home County’ 4 years ago, I would have to say my favourite square is Walk in the Woods because I live very close to The Chevin.
I love the color palette you chose for the cotton bamboo yarm. It would matcg my bedroom colors perfectly and I like Stylecraft yarns. I am a beginning crocheter. I started in May. But I might join you later.

Hi Meema, OMG, I love all the squares very pretty. Ok, I have a few favorites like #3, #4, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11. I have been debating about a blanket out of squares or just one big one. I am looking forward to learning all of them. Still thinking.
Such a gorgeous sampler blanket! I can’t wait to start! My favorite square is the finale Wildflowers square. I was planning to use up some stash baby sport weight yarn but I don’t think the colors will do your design justice. WeCrochet just happens to have their Stroll mini skeins on sale so I’ve ordered a handful of mini skein sets to use for the final blanket. I’ll still use my stash baby yarn to make an everyday blanket. You never know when a special person might need a cheery blanket to brighten their day. Kimberly with Knit4Brains is collecting squares for her Welcome Home project and these squares would be perfect for joining into a lap blanket for a senior resident in need of a warm blanket hug. The textures and variety look so inviting to touch. ❤
Hu, very difficult to choose one, they are all interesting and beautiful…🤔 I think the 2. one, „mill wheel“, the 7. one, „falling leaves“ and the „wild flower“ squares are my favourites! ☺️✨🥳
