Christopher E. Fiffie - Rolling CB Interview™

- I've got the keys to "Contender"! The guys at J&L Contracting had asked several times earlier in the year if I'd like to drive it. It's been almost 10 years since I drove a combination.
Before the 2015 Chrome Shop Mafia - Guilty By Association Truck Show in Joplin, Missouri got underway there was time to hit Highway 44. Randy Menkel drove the camera car and Doug Jameson rode shotgun. We were supposed to talk about upgrades to Contender, but Randy had questions... and the 1st reverse Rolling CB Interview was in progress.
Contender is a 2015 heavy spec Peterbilt / 600 Cummins / 18 speed / 4 speed auxiliary / 22k front axle / 4.10 rears. Upgrades - Various motor upgrades / 3 color painted motor / lowered 5 inches / custom visor & window tops from Brunner Fabrication / Valley Chrome bumper / 2016 Blackhawk RGN with under glow on the trailer as well as the truck.

Chris looks right at home in the Large Car!
+mike anderson Thanks man!!
I love your video man keep it up
(at 10:25) That's what makes your videos so unique and inspiring. You listen and you ask the right questions. You give a trucker a voice. Bottom line, every trucker has a story. The rigs are beautiful and they move America, but it's these road heroes that are fascinating to get to know. Thanks again, Chris and thanks to the truckers.
Thanks, I appreciate that!
LMAO when he said "Pick up your lot lizard and well be ready" at 1:40
I was just about to say the same thing. loo
@Logan Mckiddy very true good sir. Out here in Vegas everyone knows what a lot lizard is because they are at the strip club until it gets slow and then they go to there 2nd job so they can pay for College. FML LoL agree???
Hello Chris. I'm a driver of 22 years, and really enjoy watching your videos, and the message you're getting out to the public. I have to say this is one of my favorites. I'm sure it was a great experience for you to flip the perspective. Hats off to the kind gentlemen to give you the opportunity. keep up the great work.
One of the best groups of guys right here.
+Evan Steger Thanks bud!
Haha awesome video, it may be just me, but does anyone else think Chris kinda looks like Easy-E?? lol Cruisin' down the street in a big '79, floatin' the gears, rollin' the coal....
Brandon Pritchard Lmaooooooh

@@michealmacwilliams4247 Hi. This is Chris. I am glad you have enjoyed watching the videos!
@@BigRigVideos I drove for 19 years I started in '85. Keep them coming and be safe out there Brother
I drove over the road regional, now equipment operator and truck driver for Penn DOT. Alway enjoy the video's. Thanks
Awesome job Chris. I'm sure it felt great to drive one again and it gave is all a different insight on you thanks for all you do in the trucking world. Be safe in your travels and keep you the great work you do!!!!
+TheDodgetruck1 Oh, yes! I enjoyed every minute! Glad you liked this video, and the other before it :-)
I love all of videos
I don't know what it is about this video, but to me this video is so inspirational. I don't know why it is. They say that you can take the driver out of the truck, but you can't take the truck out of the driver. Me being only 16 amd growing up around trucking. This past summer was the first year I didn't go on the road. It kills me. I know I get chances to go up to my brothers semi, and I know when I get those chances, I enjoy the crap out of them.
Great to see the legend drivin himself!!! 73's and a Super10 on the road Driver😎
Thank ya sir
You seem like a real natural behind the wheel. Maybe it is just me but I think you're really famous when the truckers offer you a chance to drive their rides!

+Ben Lock what makes it interesting to you?
BigRig Videos seeing you driving the truck and answering the questions that the other person who is driving the camera car is asking you
my dad tells me not to drive cause his back is messed up but I always tell him and I hear this in some of your videos is that you gotta love what you do :))
Man...loving this... My dad and brother (RIP) would love it.
Awesome video Chris. Glad to see you behind the wheel of that outstanding ride. I've been out of driving myself for almost 6 yrs due to a kid falling asleep and hitting me head on. I grew up with my dad driving and I drove for 13 before the accident. I miss it all the time and alot of your videos have hit me hard. Thank you for what you do.
+Wayne Forni Aww man! I'm sorry to hear that! That really sucks. I hope that you can continue to enjoy life away from the big trucks. Glad you are here on the channel.

I'm glad I could set to be notified anytime there's a new video uploaded.
+Ruben Muniz Right on!!!!
I don't know much about big rigs, or the Trucking profession. However I really enjoy these Rolling Interview videos. Because Christopher does an exceptional job TALKING with people. It's not only what questions he asks, but HOW he asks the questions. He always gives the Drivers an opportunity to share their concerns, and challenges. Keep up the good work.

Several years back I saw your business venture tears began rolling down my face, grateful for you. Thank you for showing our nation how
TRUCKS ARE IMPORTANT. TRUCKERS MOVE AMERICA
WITHOUT TRUCKERS LIFE AS WE KNOW IT STOPS IN 70 hours.
I've been a trucker 3 million miles 42 states, Quebec, Montreal, Woodstock hauling nearly every commodity on the planet. Love every minute of it irregardless of all the new regulations gettin shoved down my outfit lol.
I'm proud my rigs are still trucking 38 years later.
Somebody said I wouldn't last six months out here.
Be Safe Chris. Bless you.
i wasnt sure if you drove or just kinda liked filming trucks and i also its nice to meet the man behind the voice thanks you for your time it takes real guts and smarts to drive a big rig talent too its not as easy as some people think have a great thanksgiving
Yeah, I miss driving. Glad you liked the role reversal :-D and yes I wish the average Joe knew what it takes to get down the road.
LOVE your videos. Thanks for doing such a Top Notch job!!!
You are welcome!
Chris keep the trucking videos coming. You do a great job and are enjoyable.
Awesome video and we appreciate what you do! !
+Eric Lee I appreciate that Eric. Glad you liked the video!
It was good to see you actually drive. My friend and I where looking at some of your videos with Clint Moore out of Kansas Peterbilt. We where checking out the blue and orange Rollin Transport Pete that he helped build.
Right on. Yeah I paid my dues behind the wheel. Clint is a good man.
Chris, I ran on to your videos a couple weeks ago and love them. Very well done, some of the best on CZcams in my opinion. I can't drive anymore. Years ago I had a seizure while fueling at the 76 West of Indy. Can't drive until 8 years being off meds. For me that will be 2022 and I will be 70 yrs. old. It's true, you can take the driver off the road but you can't take the road out of the driver. Don't change a thing on your videos.
I'm Loving these Videos!!! Thank You Chris and keep up the Great Work Sir
Glad you enjoy them. Good stuff is on the way!
hey chris, i saw yout his pass weekend in wildwood. contender has change since this video, now is a double stick and has the different seats. very nice, thanks for the videos Chris. ill buy more shirts coming this week for my brother and dad.

Great video gentlemen! Great message!
Chris, thank you so much for doing this. I am sure you have been given many thanks by all the drivers sharing their world with us. I am not a driver, I have chosen a different path in life by serving the military and worked for Caterpillar for many years. I am originally a farm kid from ND. I love big trucks and I am a huge fan of the industry. I have been lucky enough to ride with professionals like Paul Delong Heavy Haul in Vegas. Thanks again for doing this. I can live my dream through these videos. Keep the videos coming...thank you and hammer down...
Thanks for taking a minute to leave a comment. It's great that you have a career you can still enjoy. These guys deserve to have a few minutes in the spotlight instead of the negativity. See ya around!
You are the best man thanks for all the videos

Glad 2 see 1 of my brothers with So much knowledge and Enthusiasm and Obviously Mad Luv 4 the Trucking world'. thanks chris , We R A rare breed,'please keep on doing what U R doing........ I Luv B. R. V !!!!! I'll say it again,' thankyou Chris.
Very nice. First time I ever saw a 4 speed auxiliary
They were the second half of the "airmatic" transmissions. I've got a 4x4 so 4 on the stick and 4 on the splitter. Taught me the basics of a twin stick at least. But what I don't understand is those transmissions were only rated for 1,000 ft lbs of torque.
Hey Chris, love the content on your channel. Keep up the great work buddy!!!
Thanks man!
Looking good Chris. Great interview.

Christopher, I'm a recent subscriber, and I must say I really enjoy your videos!! Being that you're from Deerfield, FL, gives me hope that I can do this, and enter the trucking industry. I'm in Hollywood, FL, at home studying for my permit... I've been a bit apprehensive about entering the industry at such an older age of 45yrs old, and leaving the security of my county job, but I feel I must finally quell that burning question in my head "what if I had given trucking a shot". Thank You for what you do, keep it up. God, bless, by safe out there!
+Luis Francis Glad you are here on the channel Luis. As you probably already know you might be able to work your way into a situation where you drive locally. Unless you really want to drive over the road. I hope the transition is smooth for you either way!
No I didn't know that, but thanks for letting me know... I figure it would be best to get some OTR experience under my belt, then I'd be in a far better position to call my own shots... Gotta pay my dues!
Good to see you behind the wheel and believe me your reaching a lot more people than you think and I'm class to be a subscriber to your channel
+Pu'u Kauwe I guess so, it didnt seem that way, but reading comments like yours, I guess so.

Nice looking rig right there
great video. nice seeing ya behind the wheel there, learned some about you. good deal. keep doing what you do.
Thanks Andrew, will do!
+BigRigVideos Keep up the amazing work man.. i spend so much time watching these. I drive local, and I'm looking to start OTR with a new truck & trailer. Any info you can get about starting out and how to do certain things is incredibly valuable to a lot of us looking into the long hauling portion of trucking where the rules vary compared to us local drivers... I was watching another of your videos where you were interviewing the Western Star drivers up here in Canada.. that was real cool especially since thats where I'm from and where I'm planning to do long haul. Good job, and gorgeous truck....!
enjoy watch your vids keep up the good work
+19784x4high boychevy Will do!!

Chris Your the man, I am In Fort Lauderdale,FL. I do a lot of work in your Home Town of Deerfield Beach. I am studying for the CDL Permit as I type. I am 40 Years old and Love Trucks, Figure I get the CDL A now before I hit 50! LOLOLO

+VideosByAl Thanks Al!!
Chris You Look Like You're Enjoying Being "Kool On That Air Ride Stool While Sitting Low Looking Good Riding That Extended Hood". and Once Again My Hats Off To The Owner Of "Contender" I Think He Was Enjoying You Driving Her Almost As Much As He Does It Was Really Showing His Graciousness When He Offered To Let You Drive It At Any Show They're At ....I Won't Even Let My Trucks Owner Drive Mine In His Parking Lot. I Offered One Time He Said he Would Tomorrow. I Said Tomorrow Never Comes And He Hasn't Mentioned Driving It Since LOL
Ron Buchanan Jr Yes sir, that was a good time.
