I Nuzlocked This PokeTuber's Pokemon Yellow rom hack! (it was actually hard)

- Today I'll be nuzlocking @smithplayspokemon newest rom hack Pokemon Yellow Legacy including every newly added boss battle plus I have to match team sizes in gym battles for an extra challenge! This ended up being so much harder than I thought.

The thing I see often with gen1 runs is that people think the ai predicted their switch
In reality what's happening is that the gen1 ai ''cheats'' - it always picks its move after yours so for example if you have a psychic type in against an alakazam that knows psychic and tri attack it will use tri attack but on the turn you switch into a gengar thinking you're safe, it will catch you with psychic
So they hacking 😭
this makes a lot of sense now.. i have been switching out when my pokemon gets paralyzed or poisoned by a status move and they immediately use the same move to get both pokemon the same status condition.. it is beyond frustrating but good to know it is just because the ai is cheating lol
Gen 1 crits being based on the Pokemon's speed always catches people off guard, especially when high crit chance moves are nearly guaranteed if the Pokemon is fast enough.
unfortunately for his Machamp the chance for k-chop to crit is roughly 86% and not the 99.6% Base Speed (55)x100/64= 85.9375 The Machoke only had a 70% (45 Base Speed). Anything with a speed stat of 64+ can earn the 99.6% to land a crit with the auto crit moves such as karate chop, slash, crab hammer, razor leaf.

Gen 1 is brutal and so random 😭😭
In gen 1, bug types and poison types are super effective to each other. Idk if its been changed in yellow legacy, but its something to remember next time you ever think of doing another nuzlocke on gen 1. (For some reason)

Fun fact: blue in yellow legacy has 3 champion teams
a "vaporeon team" if you lose the first battle
a "flareon team" if you win it
and the hardest team, a "jolteon team" if you win the first battle and fight the optional 2nd battle before brock

Gen 1 does hold your hand, and it does it the entire way through the game. Fight the first rival battle, then go back to Oak without buying any pokeballs, and he straight up gives you pokeballs. Also, the first thing you do in a pokemon game is get your potion from the pc, so you have one for the starter battle just in case. Don't say goofy shit.
