I'm glad I found your videos! Thanks so much for sharing. I have been diagnosed with throat cancer and so far had 5 radiation treatments and 1 chemo treatment. I have found that keeping a positive mind and attitude is the most important thing. I am doing my speech therapy exercises and and making sure I get plenty of calories and protein to maintain my weight, which I am so far. The PET scan also diagnosed me with liver cancer, which is still up in the air about how and when that treatment will start. I am almost 68 years old, live in south Texas, have a loving wife and family that are very supportive. The UT Health and Mayo Cancer Clinic have been unbelievably helpful and caring. I just wanted to share some of my story. I will be watching more of your videos, which are awesome by the way! Thanks for letting me share.

Great video and stay positive 😊 I'm 2 months post throat cancer, having PET scan end of November, praying they got rid of cancer because I don't think i want to do another radiation or chemo treatment, this last go around about killed me.

Well said ! I'm dealing with a recurrance , after a micro-direct larengoscopy and 6 weeks of radiation , which was a piece of cake compared to what I just went through - half my voice box removed and reconstructed , stent implant (which thankfully just got removed !) , and a peg tube and trache . Lovely ! I spend half my time suctioning mucus . Where does all this goop come from ?!? Well , there's lots to be mindful of thats for sure . I appreciate every little thing that isn't pain . There's still the world out there that I'm a part of till I ain't .

Good vid, thanks. I'm now in 5th month of recovery since finishing my treatment. just had scans and looks good.
By any chance, have you had a video talking about diet corrections/foods to avoid/foods to focus on/etc. ? my biggest struggle thus far is that, what i'm eating and if it may be something that could lead to a reoccurrence/etc.
