Hey Swiss, in the landing gear part i believe that the landing gear is helpful and not helpful when you land on water. It is not such a good idea in a way that the landing gear adds weight to the airplane so the impact and the after impact would not have as good of results. But if you leave the landing gear down you also have the chance to put all impact on the landing gear to help the plane not have such a first weight impact
