    Something my family has done for generations when dealing with gnats is to cut the top of an empty soda bottle and flip it so its on top of the bottom. Then we'll either put apple cider vinegar or couple of banana slices in it. It'll attract the gnats but they won't be able to get out.

      @CactusCaffeine  Před 4 lety

      That is a very good idea. I’ve heard about apple cider but the bottle trick should make it more effective. Thank you for sharing this! 😃👍🏼

    Nice update Ana, the light is performing well and your plants and seedlings are looking great. Definitely looks like buds forming on some of them 😊 Thank you for sharing the update Ana, from Edith & I, have an awesome weekend 🌵☀️🌸🌼☕️

      Buds?! Wow, they are still rooting so I wasn’t expecting that. I hope they develop as I’m excited to see the flowers. 😃

      Nice update, sis. That grow light is working well. Did you say the light radius reaches 3 ft? The plants are looking good and healthy. Thank you for sharing. 👍🥰

      @CactusCaffeine  Před 4 lety +2

      Yes Edith, the manual says 3x3 or 9sq ft. coverage. I think ok talaga itong light na ito. It has a little UV ray light and I see some red too. May next akong grow light, cheaper pero isang kulay lang Ang ilaw.

      I was surprised, too at the results. I thought I won’t be able to see anything yet after 2 weeks. This is my very first grow light and I did not know I needed one until I got one! Hahaha. And I’m happy my first one is really great quality. Good luck on yours and I’m looking forward to watching your update as well. 😃🌵☕️

    Great update, Ana on plants under your grow light. 👍👍 Luckily I don't need them here at my place. But your plants are doing excellently with the grow light. And that's definitely a bud there cos it's reddish. How fortunate! 😊

    • @CactusCaffeine
      @CactusCaffeine  Před 4 lety

      Molly Cher, oh I’m excited for the bud. I wasn’t expecting that since these are all new cuttings that are still rooting... I did not know either that I needed a grow light until I got them. 😉 Now I need more. Lol!

    Hi Ana! I'm glad the grow lights are working for you. The epi cactus at 7.38 is beautiful! Hmm, I wonder if that's a bud on the Epi? I'm leaning towards the possibility that the seedling is beginning to crest too. That's brilliant! So happy for you. Thank you for this wonderful update. From the garden city of India to you, have a smashing Sunday! Cheers and God bless.

      The Desert Plant Diary many are saying they are buds so I am hopeful. A created seedling?! Now that is a first. 🤔😑 Thanks Carl!

    Thanks Anna 😘your plants are beautiful can you please tell me what soil are you using for your cactus

    • @CactusCaffeine
      @CactusCaffeine  Před 4 lety

      I use a cactus soil straight out of a bag. I found one that I really like. The brand is Black Gold (not sponsored) 😉. For my epiphytes, it is half cactus soil and half orchid bark. 🙂☕️

    Hello,
    It's been 2 years since you did this video and I would like to know if you were able to produce any cactus flowers using this lite because I just bought the new version with the dimer and want to use it for my 6 Easter cactuses and a few others. Would I be able to get them to flower or should I supplement with daylight as I get hardly any sun where I have to keep my plants.

    Just for the record, the Spiderfarmer 1000 consumes 200 watts of electricity.

    • @ralphchristianson
      @ralphchristianson Před 4 lety +1

      Other reviews say it is only 100 watts, very efficient.

    • @CactusCaffeine
      @CactusCaffeine  Před 4 lety +1

      They sell it thru Amazon in different countries. Just click on the particular country in my description below the video. This light is really good quality. There are other CZcams videos with good technical reviews about this light. 🙂

    Why is one of the red lights not on?

    • @CactusCaffeine
      @CactusCaffeine  Před 4 lety

      I noticed that initially in the pic but it is working. One of the lights appear like that on all pics of this light that I see on the internet. I can’t explain clearly but it is a certain type of light that is different from the rest.
