i like that she held back a bit because this was also a massive comeback for the dixie chicks after they were blackballed, she let them have their moment. this performance was a massive statement in itself because black people are forgotten in country music as if they weren’t the originators. after this performance there was loads of racists complaining, while the show had its highest viewer ratings ever.

@@mrexecutiveof course she ate. She always does. But Beyoncé tends to pull back when singing with others. This is an example. She sang with Ed Sheeran a few times and held back outside of the Stevie Wonder tribute. She also held back when she, Jennifer Hudson and Anika Noni Rose sang the dreamgirls medley together at the Oscars. Granted, she DID just come on the stage and overpower Jennifer reign a beautiful resonant F5 but once they all got together and were singing at the same time, she held back. Jennifer and Anika were basically in a screaming match anyway tbh. Another example is when she sang signed sealed delivered with Mariah and others. While she was still VERY impressive per usual, she held back.

“Daddy’s Lessons” is on Beyonce’s “Lemonade” album. Daddy’s Lessons w/the Dixie Chicks was a separate release.

i think i think i thiiiiiiiiiiank. SUCH a missed moment for Beyonce. You are correct. But her being humble she wanted to give them their moment since being so long since dixie chicks or the Chicks have been on that stage.
    IM READY FOR ACT 2

Definitely listen to the recorded version. The chicks were right up there singin on par with Beyonce like the legends they are. Absolute banger of a remix.

That was a great reaction. I gotta give kudos to Natalie for getting up on stage with Beyonce cause you know she's gonna' sing you under the table and I think Beyonce holds back in her delivery so she won't show off her better vocal ability.

Daddy Lessons is on Lemonade. It was already Country, but she added more of a twang and released a duet version(which is this) with the Chicks.
