I just introduced my 23 year old twins with Down Syndrome to this, my very favorite lift me up song. It is now theirs. Thank you, posthumously, Karen. You are still touching lives.
I was kindergarten in New Haven Connecticut 1972-73 school year. A young lady with a guitar came to our class and taught us this song. Later that week I was excited to hear on the car radio. Karen was a special person and I never forgot that song
I am a product of the 70's - I remember this song from my childhood - it still makes me smile today well into my 50's. A co-worker of mine was saying that it might be too early in the morning to sing, so I shared this song with him. He's grinning ear to ear as we speak.
As I get older every day and now I'm 63 years old I find myself missing Karen more and more. Her beautiful sweet voice and the innocence of her. When life was less complicated 🙏🙏❤️❤️
I know what you mean. My mom and I would listen to this album while cleaning back when I was a little boy. This song always filled me with the pure, innocent joy a young child has with their mom, and I'd give anything to re-live just one of those days. This song always makes me happy, and a bit sad, but I bet you know exactly what I mean. I wish you well.

Karen and Richard Carpenter. I grew up listening to their beautiful music as a pre-teen and "Sing a Song" was sung at my father's elementary school by the children there as a tree was dedicated to him to honor him when he passed in 1977. Nearly 40 Years later, and I love their music even more than then. Glad to have been blessed to hear the beautiful music of Karen and Richard Carpenter.

listening to this song with my mom while she’s in a kiddie pool she bought because of the heat and i’m sitting next to her. she looks so happy and she’s singing. the sun is hitting her face and she’s glowing. this is a rare sight and moment. we are always sad, angry or arguing. it’s always dark here but today is bright, yet i still feel the darkness in me. i’m trying to enjoy it but i almost can’t look at her. she’s sick and i keep worrying that one day i won’t have her here with me like this again. i hope i have more moments like this with her.i want to cry but, i’ll try to sing this song with her and enjoy it while it lasts. i hope i can for once let myself enjoy a moment.

親友の親父さんが、カーペンターズのファンでしたが、休日の朝。必ず流れていた曲がこの曲。
今でもたまに聴きますが、色褪せせずそのままの新鮮さが素晴らしいです。

Karen and Richard Carpenter. I grew up listening to their beautiful music as a pre-teen and "Sing a Song" was sung at my father's elementary school by the children there as a tree was dedicated to him to honor him when he passed in 1977. Nearly 40 Years later, and I love their music even more than then. Glad to have been blessed to hear the beautiful music of Karen and Richard Carpenter.
This was the time of innocense when everything possible when the future looked bright and Rosey those were the days I wish would last forever. ❤️
Breaks my heart what happened to Karen and how it hurt her brother and her family dearly and no one seemed to understand the pain I grew up listening to her music and it's very saddening to me that this happened to Karen of all people she was an angel and still is and she lives on, she's still there and My condolences to the family and my Love to Karen, Love You Sweetheart and Great Music!
What a beautiful song as it always brings tears to my eyes and the kids in the choir are terrific from Desiree Fox from East Perth
Yes, it brings on the tears for me too. A really beautiful song. May the Lord bless you always 🙏
listening to this song with my mom while she’s in a kiddie pool she bought because of the heat and i’m sitting next to her. she looks so happy and she’s singing. the sun is hitting her face and she’s glowing. this is a rare sight and moment. we are always sad, angry or arguing. it’s always dark here but today is bright, yet i still feel the darkness in me. i’m trying to enjoy it but i almost can’t look at her. she’s sick and i keep worrying that one day i won’t have her here with me like this again. i hope i have more moments like this with her.i want to cry but, i’ll try to sing this song with her and enjoy it while it lasts. i hope i can for once let myself enjoy a moment.
Beautiful. So joyful.
RIP Bob Mcgrath. (1932-2022)
Imagine The Carpenters still exist in 2017 and Karen is still alive. She still can sing a song for us.
Sing, sing a song
Let the world sing along
Sing of love there could be
Sing for you and for me
Sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last your whole life long
Don't worry that it's not good enough
For anyone else to hear
Just sing, sing a song
Just sing, sing a song
Just sing, sing a song
La la la la la
La la la la la la...

Children's chorus can always touch my heart and put me in tears. ❤ She did this song in Japan with a Japan children's choir...google it,and love!
I remember this song back when I was a little kid. I loved the horn that was playing this memorable tune. But, as I grew older, I didn't heard the song one bit. Until this MGS game credits that spark that memory of my childhood almost 2 years ago xD. Hope this music will last forever and ever
This world needs positive energy like this.
