Leo's dialogue is supposed to be extra cringe, nobody likes the "get it? Get it?" Nudge nudge wink wink guy but it comes from his key personality trait of being desperate for outside approval.

It's painful to see you guys miss the goodness of this show and movie 😅 It's true it's not for everyone, but it is still very excellent as it is. A lot of things didn't land for you guys because you haven't seen the show. Parts that came off unfunny or corny were actually huge payoffs from things carefully set up in the show, like Leo's insufferable facade of laid-back confidence. It's meant to be that way. Another example of payoff that you missed is when they say "we are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turltes" together, it's actually the first time they've ever called themselves that, because there's a running joke in the show that they keep ALMOST saying it but never do haha. Their team name is literally The Mad Dogs. So that moment was extremely hype for a fan like me haha. Anyway, another thing is that this movie was meant to be longer, with more time for awesome fight scenes and even better story progression. Things had to be cut because Nickelodeon literally wouldn't give them a second of time more. That epic sky fight was supposed to be twice as long, and the time cut is why Raph's snap-out-of-it scene and other things were rushed. The show took a hard hit from Nickelodeon not giving it a chance from the start. But considering what the creators had to work with, they made something amazing. It really hurt to see you guys mock my favorite show without giving it any sort of serious chance first, but to each their own opinion, I guess. I hope you guys will watch more in the future, so I'll like the video, but I'm not sure if I can take the more-painful-than-funny jabs anymore 😅

If they don’t like characters they make jokes and clown on them, if they like characters they make jokes and don’t clown on them, they do this for money and if something they don’t like isn’t performing they won’t watch it. They don’t need to give things a chance, there is a reason everything has a like goal
It's definitely more enjoyable if you've watched the season, as a lot of the corny moments for Leo make more sense. There's like exactly 50/50 of good story episodes, and Nickelodeon's forced ass jokes but I still enjoyed a lot of the characters.
They don't care about accuracy and plus they haven't continued watching the show.

I tuned into Netflix when I woke up to watch the movie day of release and, despite how the show was never given a fair chance due to the more light-hearted and comedic-focused tone (which, let's be honest, isn't that different the original 1987 series), I was left very satisfied with how much work was put into the movie. And when Leo said "badass" and Donnie said "half-cocked", it made me realize, "Wow, no wonder it's strictly on Netflix and not Nick. They aren't playing." Even with the cheesy message, I think it was still executed fairly well.

Leo did not die because nick executives said if the movie does well they can bring the show back. Thats why they left it open ended. The krang did not even die that just got captured. Its really sad how people are anoyed by stuff like this when they say that there are no orginal shows but complains when one franchises get creative and does somthing new. So they fixate on the fact that this show is nothing like the past ones, instead thinking weather the show will be good on its own.

I love this movie and series to death, i really hope you guys watch the series in its entirety. You'll appreciate a lot of the jokes and the whole "we are the teenage mutant ninja turtles!!!" moment more if you've seen the series. I'd legit give this movie a 10/10. As a person who's seen all of the rise series as well as quite a bit of other turtles content, this one is my favorite and a fussing masterpiece.

This has the best version of the Krang/Umtrom in any version of TMNT.
I can say that the humor in this movie isn't going to hit for some people. But we must agree that the animation is masterpiece for 2D. The movie definitely a step up from the show.
It's crazy that the movie have to cut some of the final fight with the krang. Because if they don't cut it, it's will be legendary 2D fight animation.

I remember when I decided to watch the 26 episodes on Netflix (and the movie) and I can’t say I liked a portion of the jokes but it’s bound to happen. The animation and stylization was worth it though. I loved how different they look and it’s so crisp and colorful
Fun fact the final fight was cut to half of what we got now. You can actually find the rest on CZcams along with a cut opening of the movie that goes deeper into the future of the turtles.

Ok I was super excited to watch this video because I love this movie but to hear you guys constantly come at the movie for it’s dialogue or other stuff is really disheartening. There was a reason for all the “corny” stuff, like how Leo’s personality is a cover up for a inferiority complex and how the boys never actually called themselves tmnt until this movie and it was a running joke in the show that they got so close to it all the time. And the movie was honestly excellent for what was considering everything that happened to the show and creators.
I don’t know, just be more open minded is all I can say. It’s such a tragedy that this movie will never achieve the praise it’s cut out for.

3:08 I've done that for LITERALLY every blue character he plays. Dewey, Leo, and Sonic. The strange thing about that is that no one seems to care for these characters, but when Chris Pratt voices Mario or Seth Rogen plays Donkey Kong they complained that they literally sound like themselves. No one had that problem for Sonic for some stupid reason.... it's LITERALLY Ben Schwartz. (I'm not dogging on these talented actors, I'm just stating the fact lol)
Because nobody who cares watches these shows like Scooby-Doo or TMNT, everyone who turned up already just wanted a random script molded over the "characters" that kinda sorta resemble a known IP. And that's the only reason you find these shows, which is the only reason they do it.
It's because of Marvel's overuse of famous actors, or just the overuse of famous actors in general. Like in thor love and thunder the marketing showed the guardens to be more important then they were. Funny enough the new guardens of the galaxy movie released just after the Mario movie.
I did not even really know who ben shawarts was until sonic movie came out. Then I saw he played characters in bojack, HOME: the adventures of tip and oh, which ran for a while I think it was little longer or shorter then troll hunters which is also a good show, and of course leo for rise and the movie, and Dewey from ducktails.

I know you probably don't like this show so much, but please please please, give this show a chance! So many of Rise's fans didn't give it enough of a chance when it first came out, and now we're grieving the fact that we were gonna have another three seasons before it got cancelled. Please! Episodes like Snow Day, Fast and the Furriest, and Evil League of Mutants are so cool! Please don't give up on Rise!

I understand they got a lot of comments to react to this movie but honestly they should have just ignored those comments and just reacted to the entire show BEFORE watching the movie because Jack didn't know anything about the characters because he didn't watch the show first.
God, this one hurt. Rise is an extremely subjective show, that we can all agree on, but them watching the movie without seeng the entire show (only watching the first few thinking it was okay) and not getting any context was a huge L on their part. They should've finished watching the entire show before watching this movie. If they didn't like the movie, but still knew the context behind all of it, I don't think many people would be as annoyed, again this show is not for everyone. But they went in with a blind eye not knowing much context about a lot of the things happening. Yeah, they still thought the movie was decent, at least Eden did, but they skipped many key details that would be important for this movie, and as a result, they viewed it as another generic Nickelodeon movie when it really wasn't.
No hate towards STM, they're a hilarious and severely underrated CZcams channel, but there's always gonna be that one video where you disagree on most of their points, and this is definitely one of them for me.

I really, really like these versions of the Krang. Not tiny brains who need a suit to walk around, no weak bodies that get beaten around like beach balls: just these big, gross mass of flesh that can actually fight and the use of controlling other beings is very cool too.
Heck, my head canon for the Turtleverse is opened further due to these 3. Think about it: most TMNT shows/comics have all different turtles knowing different versions of the Krang who, in many versions, can hop through portals to other dimensions. 2003 did it in the crossover movie with the 80's series, and so did 2012's.
My canon is that all the Krang we know are Generals from a bigger armada from some Prime Universe they took over and want to conquer every other multiverse. Some have armies, so go alone or in groups, some are literally kicked to fend for themselves like 80's Krang. Heck, even yhe Out of the Shadows movie Krang I could see as a ruthless General they kicked out cause even he was too much. Even more so that a lot of the Krang in shows end up thousands of years in the past timelines and some right when the turtles are teens.

This movie was actually my introduction to Tmnt as a whole and let me tell you I legit cried at the sacrifice part and loved the characters just by the movie alone. Honestly the movie was a 10/10 for me off the bat and I rarely watch a movie without having things to yell at it for. Rottmnt is awesome and worth the watch from the perspective of a teenager!

So far since watching this movie it has been one of the best animated movies I ever watch. The animation is just so fluid. And it has incredibly hard hitting emotional moments. Also I love the writing for Leos character and the character development he goes through.
Maaaan I know there’s alot of comments saying this but like….you guys really should’ve watched the entire show BEFORE you watched the movie. Alot of things flew over your guys’s heads, and I can see why most people in the comments section are just a tad bit frustrated. Totally fine if you didn’t actually like the movie, but for me this is like the best tmnt movie out there.

Funny thing is I was legit watching this movie last night and was like “Spilling the Milk should watch this.”
As someone who is currently watching Kill la Kill, I really appreciate the Studio Trigger influence in Rise of the TMNT in terms of the animation. And the fight scenes in the show and in the movie go absolutely crazy, and I'm all here for it. And I can say that Rise of the TMNT is one of my favorite animated shows, and while its not in the same league of greatness as the 2012 series or the 2003 series, it does have some good aspects about it.

I kinda had a similar experience with this other show called Transformers Prime because that show could actually handle horror-themed scenarios fairly well. Granted, it wasn't scary to me, but I was surprised by how much horror-themed shit was in that show

Nah for it to land you gotta watch the whole show I watched season one and couldn’t find season two so I tried just watching the movie I didn’t understand a lot of it and the jokes or dialogue didn’t land with me so stopped found and watched season two and it was on sight I almost cried tbh wasn’t even that sad but I think the build up of watching all of season two and one to the movie was a lot and now I love the movie but it’s one of those films that really doesn’t work for people who haven’t seen most of the series
I got into the show from the movie first but agree with you 100%. The second watch after the series almost had me crying 😭
I really like the Kraang in this universe. The leader is basically Frieza in how he talks and views any other species as beneath him while also being incredibly op as fuck.

Ok what is UP with them just picking up the tinniest of things to judge to. Like ok the animation makes the turtles slide for 2 seconds for comedy purposes and we talk about how dumb it is for a whole minute. Like ... idk maybe it's juste me but I feel excited that thye're gonna give fun reactions to stuff but just end up drifting into judging things all over the place
They are however right about the animation yes its gorgeous and Im glad they liked it
