Sure, 10k easy, even in this condition. The guy who drives this probably works very long hours for just a few dollars a month. But what the van is worth in cash could probably have his family living comfortable for a long time in Congo, and have spare change to buy a decent 4x4
I believe that at the earliest, it's a 1973 model. In that year, VW built in a hump behind the front bumper, so it helped to dissipate a moderate crash.
It’s not a 67 it has the later rear lights and the front indicators are in the later position also has later bumpers (though these could have been changed) it’s about 72 on. Still impressive though.
A lock on the fuel filler? This must be the only car in Africa that doesn't have the fuel tank as a plastic bottle in the engine bay. (Ok, probably not the only one, but I'm trying to be funny here)
This poor "dude"still running the same as he young,he "siblings"of production at the old days, someone at the museum now or someone get registered classic car type and appears at the vehicle show
If it was INDIA , this item could be fallen in VINTAGE catagory & the owner is not allowed to drive regularly except for some rallies or special occassion.
They all rust the same speed pretty much, it just that they keep using it which makes it rust away less quickly. And the interior is stripped clean Which usually holds moisture far worse. sheet metal is sheet metal, rather it's Honda, Peugeot, Toyota, Ford, Mercedes or VW the sheet metal they use hardly differs. Park them in a leaking wet shed for a decade and they've got serious rust problems, regardless of manufacturer.
This dude could export this to Europe and make a fortune 👍
not really a fortune
yeah, nobody would want this piece of shit anymore, it's too far gone imo
@@krecik2336 have you seen the crap those VW weirdos will restore ?

The Kombi might look "outdated" but it gets the job done even under some of the harshest environmental conditions.
That lock for fuel door is best
Next time my car breaks down, I need an African mechanic to fix it. These guys are like technical magicians.
This model in Brazil is called Kombi, and it was manufactured until 2013.
Viu que também apareceu um ônibus Marcopolo no vídeo?
@@zOiNhUh Vi sim, um Torino. A Marcopolo exporta ônibus para vários países.

It looks like '76-79
@@euwitt2899 I seem to remember that shade of yellow was only available on the late T2s 👍🏻🇬🇧
Could also be that the VIN says 67 but due to it's hard off roading life they broke and changed panels
It will outlast all the 2000's cars it drives past...
