We spent the day in Palmyra New York visiting the historic sites. This is such a cute town that gives you a glimpse inside what life was like in the early 1900’s. We went to the Joseph Smith family farm and saw the log home, the frame house, and the sacred grove. Rain stopped us from seeing more but we quickly went by the visitors center and the Hill Cumorah. We ended the day at one of our favorite restaurant Tom Wahl’s for burgers, onion rings, fries, and homemade root beer!!!!

It's a very small town but it's a great place to live, canal town days are the best, everyone comes together and has an amazing time, if you haven't, I would recommend visiting the palmyra historic museum or the phelps store, practically right next to it.
I’m your newest sub! I enjoyed the music very much but I’m very excited to see Palmyra and the farm. Thank you for sharing.

Very interesting. Probably won't have the opportunity to go there so it's lovely to see it through these videos. Many thanks for sharing.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
dont most of us who live here are too poor to escape the town wants to keep all these janky history buildings and will not let any new companies into the place so we get stuck with janky shops that close and change hands every 2 years and the town also taxes us to death
I would love too go see the Joseph Smith Farm :)

Sorry but the cabin was not built in 1818. It was built in 1998 by modern craftsmen in a guesstimate as to the appearance of the original. I know this because I did the stonework, brickwork, and clay chinking. I also helped erect the logs and rafters. The original barn was torn down by the church in the 1970's. The one there now is from the late 20th century and was built Randy Nash as was the cooper shop.
